Clark walked into the Talon, dressed like he normally is -- a pair of those fitted, farmer-boy jeans and a spiffy red shirt. He immediately spotted Chloe and the familiar looking old one-time friend of his, Kevin, sitting at the table in the distance. "Hey Chloe, and.."
"Kevin. I'm back again." Kevin laughed as he reached his hand out to Clark, and they exchanged handshakes. "Nice to see you again, I'm still thankful for your help."
Clark was a bit surprised and unsure of how to take Kevins sudden arrival back to Smallville, but he smiled humbly, "Don't mention it. What brings you back?"
"Study. Get more acquainted with Smallville, basically," Kevin replied.
"Ah, well, I hope it works out." Clark turned his attention to Chloe. "So, what's up?" He took a seat now.

"Nothing Much here, Kevin was just telling me about his future plans of wanting to get into real-estate. I told him if he ever became huge i would have to give him an interview. So what's up with you what took you so long?" Chloe said crossing her arms on the table in front of her and leaning forward a bit on her arms.

Lex walks into the Talon. Hes talking into his phone, and dont see Chloe, " Yes, im checking the Talon right now,,,,yes,,,,yes,,, no" He walks into the kitchen.

Chloe saw Lex enter into the Talon. Chloe tried to advert her eyes and tried to make gestures toward Clark to be warned. Since Clark wasn't getting the message chloe breathed silenty to the human ear "clark lex is here...shoud we go some place else?" knowing perfectly well that Clark heard her she started getting up to leave. "Sorry Kevin, but me and Clark need to leave to go do something..." she said. "Maybe we can meet some other time or even if you wanted to come with us the air in here just got really thick"

Clark was distracted and did not see Lex enter the Talon. "Clark, Lex is here... Shoud we go some place else?" His ears catching Chloe's warning, he glanced up and Lex was indeed strading into the Talon. "Yes, Chloe, what a great idea." He said flatly after giving Lex a simple stare. Turning back to Kevin, Clark's expression changed to a smile. "Sorry Kevin, we err need to... Hey, do you want to come with us? Or are you busy right now?" Clark made a point to ignore Lex by turning his back on him. He did not want to say or do anything that he might regret against Lex if words were exchanged. No need to leave it up to chance if he could avoid it.

Chloe walked out of the Talon and waited for Clark. "Wow, talk about akward. Lois told me its really rare to see Lex at the talon anymore. Maybe because Lana doens't work there anymore and he doesn't find Lois to be much of eye candy." Realizing what she said and the depressed look apon Clark's face "Oh im such a loser Clark. I'm sorry i didn' mean- you know what. Thats enough from me. Lets go jack up n caffine somewhere else superboy." with that she slipped her arm around Clark's and walked into the street and lead him to where her car was parked. "we can go into metropolis and get some real food. My treat" she opened the door and slipiped into the drivers seat and reved up and put the top down and sped off.

Not really wanting to say anything about Lex, or Lana for that matter at the moment, he still felt a little bad for leaving Kevin there at the Talon by himself, with Lois.
"It's okay Chloe, I mean I'm-" He paused a little. "Trying to move on... I guess. I can't expect Lana to wait for me for the rest of her life while there's so many secrets I am keeping from her." Not really meaning half of what he said.
"You sure you want to go to Metropolis, it's like, a long, long drive there." He mentioned the obvious as he looked out the window. Oh, the awkward silence.

"Clark im positive, considering i live there and i had to go back anyways. Smallville was a day trip for my day off. I decided to just take work off at the Planet to go visit my cousin. But she wasn't there so i woud much rather spend it with my best friend" She said and gave him a smile. "Perk up smallville" Chloe attempted with a smile. But then she got serious "You know Clark i have been telling you for a while now, there are other girls in this world besides Lana Lang. Lana is discovering that there is more out there, she is moving on to bigger and-" Chloe stopped and smirk "Balder things" Chloe glanced over to Clark to se if the humor had struck him.

He flinched at Chloe calling him 'Smallville'. He turned to Chloe and gives her a weak smile. "I guess." He turned to look out the car window again to watch the scenary sped past. "So," He started in a lighter tone. "Where we going exactly in Metropolis to eat?" Changing the subject, simple yet effective.
