He nodded his head as his fiery orbs settled once again upon those of the green and white hued wolf before him. "There are many packs but, these days, it's hard to locate them. They shroude themselves from mankind but those who seek them will find them," he replied with a musing tone, his brows knitting together in thought once more.

"The Crow Wolf. I have heard sparse tales about he and his pack...yet there location is unknown to me."

With the distraction of the crow that perched upon an overhead bough, Tasubaa grinned as he glanced upwards.

"Perhaps this is your sign, Link. This crow may know the way but you'll never know if you don't seek those who hold the key."

Link looked at Tasuba after quickly glancing at the odd colored crow.
"Yes... That is odd...."
The crow showed no sign of leaving. It's dark eyes kept a close watch in the two wolves. Every two seconds exactly it would crow three times. He stopped after the seventh time around.

The fiery orbs of the beta narrowed towards the crow, metal ridden ears flickering as his tail swayed slightly irritatedly behind him. Crows; he never did hold them high but, regardless of his emotions, he still showed them respect. Tilting his head slighlty, Tasubaa's tapered spikes drapped across his right eye as he emitted a questioning rumble.

"Something is at work," he muttered deep with a gruff, saturated tone.

Was it ironic that a crow had appeared to Link; the wolf who was seeking out the "Crow wolf"? No, he thought as he glanced toward the side. Things happen for a reason. Nothing happens without a reason or meaning.

Tasubaa stifled a slight growl as the fur upon his back bristled in a meager array. He didn't feel comfortable and the incesive cawing of the crow was only making it worse.

"I don't like this..."

((Not at all XD))

User Image Horus grinned smugly as he circled the pair of wolves, listening quietly to their discussion. His master had come into the freelands, moving through like the rays of sunlight before dawn. Faint at first, almost too dim to notice- but in time their way would rise above all others and rule everything under the sky as the sun itself did. The crow had been a young recruit under the prince's father's own companion. The crows benefited from their odd partnership with the larger beasts... far more than a simple full belly. There was a smug satisfaction to know that they would soon become an icon of power, no longer seen as the filthy carron feeders of the land.

The bird backwinged, smoothly landing on a rock that sat far above the wolves. He was no fool, he had seen his brothers and sisters of the feather become a snack for a wolf for underestimating their abilities.

"Greetings young seekers." He said in a cool, almost rythmic voice, "A pair of lone wolves daring these paths... many have fallen-fallen-fallen." He cawed, turning his head slightly as a few more of his feather-siblings landed, all of them watching in silence. They were younger than he, recruits to the murder.

"What brings freelanders into the realm of the Lipan-pan-pan?"

Link looked up at the crow immediately after it spoke. Before speaking himself he glanced at the red wolf than back at the crow.

"I wish to meet with the Crow Wolf..." He spoke calmly.

With fiery orbs glancing from Link and back towards the crow, Tasubaa gritted his teeth. He still was unsure about this and, ever since Valen had taken his eye away, he was cautious yet stiff when presented with a situation. And right now, the fire hued wolf wasn't taking it too easy.

As his tail thumped behind him, Tasubaa looked towards the crow with a bland expression whatsoever. If the crow wanted to know why he was here then fine. He couldn't care less.

"I'm a vagabond just trying to find someplace to belong," he gruffly spoke as his metal ridden ears flickered back. "I'm not looking for bloodshed or war...just a pack."

User Image The crow tilted his head back and forth in thought. He didn't seem at all afraid of wolves, more comfortable around them than was natural. "Pack pack.. yes yes... the crows and wolves dwell together-er-er brothers in the mountains tains tains." He smirked, turning his beak towards the looming forms up ahead, "Dangerous roads they are -r-r-r but protect the pack they do... one pack soon they will make, united under a council of wolves -ack-arck. No more fighting, no more war, all peace for all creatures." He fluffed out his feathers, looking back down to the wolves, "Master has me watch this pass-pass."

"Can you show us -" Link hesitated on the word "us" as he was not sure if Tasubaa would want to go the Mountain pack. "-to the mountain pack?"

This talk of piece only urged his desire to meet with the leader of this pack. Link had seen his share of fighting, though he had wondered in the shadows, and found it to be senseless.

The metal riddled ears of the fiery male shifted and swiveled forwars as he listened to the spoken words of the crow. But was this true? A pack of both wolves and crows that resided in unity? No fighting, no war, and just..peace?

His left eye blinked several times, lips pursing in thought as he stood there.

Was it right for him to pusuit the opportunity or was there someplace else, or perhaps, another pack he was destined to be entwined with? Such thoughts seemed to ensnare his mind, haunting him in a sense but the still, soft voice within the back of his mind was always directing him.

But it spoke words that he wished not to hear.

Do not go.

The young adult bit his lower lips as his tail swayed behind him. This pack was destined for Link but, as for himself, Tasubaa still needed to find his own destiny or at least complete what he intentionally sought out to do.

Dethrone Valen, his former Alpha, and take back his pack.

Sighing softly as a light trail of breath escaped from his lips, Tasubaa looked towards Link and to the crow that sat above them.

"Go ahead without me," Tasu replied with a small smile as he took a step forwards towards the two. "There are still things that need to be settled before I can find peace within a pack but, maybe someday, I'll come looking to join you."

User Image "Show you yes, show show show." Horus cawed happily, turning his beak towards the red male, "Ally then or foe? Foe? Foe? Ally may come rest, see the lands. Then we come when you call call call." Feanaro had ordered the crows to spread the words of his purpose. Those that were with them were under their protection, the protection of not only one, but all packs that had united into the council, "Looking to join harder to do do do later on on..." He tilted his head, "Evil alphas must fall, much to do yet yet yet. The low lands are evil, below us all all."

Link again focused on Tasubaa. The crow did have a point... if this pack was hard to find than maybe it was a good idea to see where it was than decide. Link could tell the red wolf was not bad.

"To you and your pack, I stand as an ally," he replied with a casual tone, slightly echoing with a gruff sound. "But there are other matters from my past I have to take care of before I can pursue a future."

His muzzle wrinkled as his brows knitted slightly, thoughts trailing through his head as he stood there; paws clenching the ground underfoot as his head lowered. Tasu wanted to go, he wanted to go with Link and meet this "crow wolf" but, he- he just couldn't!

"These low lands may be looked down upon but someone has to salvage them from this chaos. But, please, don't pass me off just yet as a candidate for your ranks, maybe one day we'll cross paths once again and I'll be ready to settle into a pack." As his metal ridden ears flickered to the side and swiveled, Tasubaa smiled.

"Only time will tell".

User Image "Ally good good good." The crow nodded, tilting his head to eye the red wolf with a single shining eye, his beak pulling back to a smile, "Do what you must yes yes yes. All will look up to the mountain one day yes yes yes... the council of alphas will rule, our wings patrol all skies skies." He flapped his wings, lifted off the ground, "Green one follow, I fetch my master yes yes yes. Master will see red wolf to the lowlands yes yes!"

He circled up higher, cawing as he raced off towards the rocks up ahead shortly, leaving the two alone but only momentarily.

They'd hear his voice before seeing the burnt-pelt colored wolf. A heavily accented voice, smooth and proud though soft at the same time. "Welcome strangers of the lowlands to the domain of the Lipan..."

A slender form fell from one of the nearby rocks, landing with all the grace of the most sure-footed of creatures just a few lenghts from the two. A pair of brilliant silver eyes gleamed in the late afternoon sun, narrowing slightly as he seemed to simply observe the two for a moment.

The young wolf straightened up, showing an impressive size for one as young as he was, not nearly as impressive as his younger brother, but the build along showed a life of both fine attention and hard work. A silken coat, gleaming like the burning sun and eyes like the moon. "I am sorry I could not see to you sooner." The crow circled and landed itself on his right shoulder, leaning down to eye them from his master's shoulder. "I had to make sure that you both were well-intended. I do hope you can forgive my rudeness."

He tipped his head slightly, "Link and..." He turned to the red wolf, "And Tasuba. Pleased to meet you. I am Kendrick, son of Feanaro. Prince of the mountain. I will escort you to the lowlands. Horus will take you-" He glanced to Link, "To my honorable father."

Turning back to Tasuba he motioned forward with a paw, "Please. Share with me what you know of the evils of the low land. I am nearing my time... soon I will make my own way into the evil lands."

Link looked back at Tasuba and gave him another respectful bow.
"Until we meet again... good luck on your quest."

He than followed the Crow to where he may meet this famed wolf of the mountains.
