Because of her strong belief that everyone had a kind side to them regardless of whether or not they showed it, she hadn't lost her innocence. Innocence that she might have for the rest of her life, but then she still hadn't seen much of the world so she really had no clue what many were truely like.
Mali...She had to think of that nickname then she said in her cheerful tone "Mali is just fine!" Pausing she then said "I'd love to learn more!"

Kichea had been wandering about for a couple of hours now and she had decided it was about time for a rest. Since she had been brought into the pride, a matter of a few weeks ago, she hadn't gotten to know many of which who lived there. Sure she had seen a few from a distance but never truly met anyone, but Malika and Nyek.
Slowly she padded up to the crystal pool that lay in the middle of the oasis. She stopped and bent down only close enough to get a short drink. Pausing for a moment she could see herself in the waters reflection. She had grown and was hardly a cub anymore. She dipped a paw in the water to blur her reflection. It was to strange to see herself like that.
Finally she sat down, done with her drink. It was now for the first time she noticed she wasn't alone. On the other side of the pool were two other lions. With a sigh she laid down and dipped he forepaws in the water. She had learned all too well that it was best not to confront others. Sure, she wouldn't mind having someone to talk to but they would have to confront her themselves.

A fairly large lion wandered through the grasses of the Oasis, his tan fur blending in well with the surroundings. He approached the large pool of water he had made his most favorite spot. He loved it because water gave life, and he knew that as long as he lived, he would make it home to his family again. No matter how long it took, Tamariku was determined to make it home.
He hadn't seen his family in a long time, and he had gottn much bigger. Fond memories of the past overwhelmed him, and he wondered about his siblings. They must've been much bigger than the last time he saw them. He remembered fondly of the days when he was a cub, playing and swimming with them. Everyday the image of his family became a little more blurry, a little harder to make out.
With a heavy sigh, the adolescant tore his thoughts from the past and took a few long gulps of water from the pool. He always wondered why it stayed so cool and full. With a loud splash, he jumped in, and dove down. His mane enveloped his face, the water making it defy gravity as it floated around him. He looked around, seeing a few small fish swim by in fear of the lion.
As he broke the surface again, Riku took a long breath of air and remained in the water, glad to be out of the sun. He could smell other lions around, mostly slaves like himself, but he made no real effort to meet any of them.

The tiny white cub, now just arrived in his new home, took in the scenery as he entered the temple. The beam's of light that shone on the water through the shattered holes in the building, made him smirk at the sight before he began to pad toward's the pool and only now noticed the adolescent bathing in it.
His eye's narrowed, sitting down at the edge of the water. He licked one of his paw's lackadaisly before he actualy tried to talk to the tan lion, his bright red, emotionless eye's watching him.
"Y'know...swimming in drinking water isn't that sanitary." He called out simply.

A voice caught Rikus attention from behind him, and he glanced over to the cub sitting by the waters edge. "Really? And yet you don't mind that fish and other creatures make it their home? There's feces in this water kid. And you still drink it, so what's a little lion dirt gonna do?" He swam around in a circle before going to the shore. He pulled himself up onto the bank, shaking off the water in all directions.
"And whom might you be anyway?" He asked, his one blue and one green eyes gazing at the cub with interest.

"Cubs cubs and cubs....", Taban mused from atop the sand dune overlooking the oasis. He hadn't moved from the moment they'd arrived, laying himself casually and smoothely over the crest of the white sand, the end of his patterened tail flicking casually behind him. His aqua eyes watched the oasis quietly from above, now and then slowly drifting to the sky. He was in no hurry... all in time. Beautiful, precious time. Cubs... the lot of them. So few adults. Seemed a fickle goal. On one hand, to have the young to raise in one's ways was a strength... but when they were old enough to fight they'd have become mindless drones to the will of their master. Blindly fighting without care for their own lives- in that respect they'd be brutal but careless. Mindless...
Taban's fur bristled as he pondered on the word. He was not so foolish. His own mind was turning over the events over the last few days. His body ached slightly from the journey but it was not an unfamilar pain. For one so young- and for a creature supposidly so lean and frail -he had quite the build on him. His chest was rippled thick with muscle, running long into his powerful shoulders and limbs.

Amani left the shelter of her hidden glade and walked back to the main lake to try a spot of fishing. She had decided not to kill the little fish in her pond, for they were so little and she thought them pretty. Wasn't she surprised to see a number of other lions there?
All so young, except for the male dripping with water. He was as big as Harabu, but only just a little bit more than her. She'd grown in strength since Harabu had disappeared. Part of her worried that he had abandoned herbut always she shook of the hopeless loss that came over her when she thought of being without him here.
She padded close to them, tilting her head a little bit. "Hello?" she formed the greeting as a question as she sat down a few feet from them.

Tamariku sat on his haunches, watching the white cub before him. His ear flicked to the side as another voice called out. He glanced over to see a lioness watching them. He gave her a smile. "Greetings." He said, his tail flicking around behind him. "Who might you be?" He asked, temporarily forgetting the male cub before him.
He had noticed that as of late, when a female was present, his thoughts focused mainly on her. He wasn't sure why he had been acting like this, but he pushed the thought aside as he waited for her to respond. Many lions here today. He thought as he spotted yet nother cub atop a hill overlooking them.

Kichea pulled her paws out of the cool water and placed them back onto the stone. They still dripped with water as she stood and stretched. Everyone seemed to have their own agendas and as much as she didn't like to, she would have to introduce herself to join into their conversation. She hated being alone and after all what was the point of being in a pride if you still lived the life of a rouge.
Looking around she noticed two older lions and a cub who hadn't been there a minute ago. They were closer, so she would meet them first. She padded slowly over to them, her wet fore paws leaving prints as she walked. "Hello..." She spoke softly as she sat down next to the other female. She looked from lion to lion, for more words to say. " What have we been up to?" She giggled realizing the male was soaking wet, but not directly asking him.

After a short trip to his own little sleeping place along with a short nap to rest his mucles the big black maned male stepped towards the pool. For a long time he acted none-challant, almost ignoreing those whom were in such close presence. Padding on down to the waters edge he took a slow steady walk down the steps until he stood int he clear waters up to his chest. he took his time to take a drink, lapping slowly and making large shiney ripples all about himself before he padded out once again.
Taking a note of exactly who was there he padded oevr to a fallen column which he clambered upon to look down at the peons that were his slaves. Taking a deep breath he roared. It was clear what the roar meant he was calling a meeting. He wished to see his whole pride. every last one of them. he had a gift to bistow upon them. He smirked inwardly. What a gift it was.

Riku watched as another female walked over. My lucky day. He thought with a smile. His tail flicked back and forth as he looked from one lioness to the other. "Seems there are a lot of lions out today. What shall I call you?" He asked, his kind eyes on her.
As Nyek walked towards them, Riku felt a ball of hate inside his gut that he felt whenever the large lion was around. He kept an eye on him as he drank, though tried to keep his attention mostly on the females before him.
But as Nyek roared, Riku looked up, eyes glaring and ears pressed against his head. He let out a sigh. "I suppose our little introductions will have to wait, ladies." He said in an annoyed voice, and padded towards Nyek slowly.

Kichea opened her mouth about to answer his question when Nyek walked by. He seemed so different than what she remembered. When he had brought her and Malika here he had been so happy and sweet. His eyes bright and welcoming. He was different. Now he walked with heavy, strong steps as if showing his power over the others and his eyes still held that gleam but in a maleficent way.
Her ears fell against her head as he roared and commanded them to come near. She was a bit afraid of him now. Had he always been like that and just acted to get me on his side and follow him here or had he had a change of heart? Her tail and head hanging low in a mix of precaution and confusion, she followed behind the young male, who she had just addressed and walked over towards Nyek.

Amani had been about to answer the male when Nyek appeared. She felt her chest constrict and her eyes opened a little bit more when he roared. She was still very much afraid of him and this time she did not have anyone to stand by. Sure, there were cubs and the lion and lioness, but she did not know them at all. She was all alone again.
As carefully and as quickly as she dared, she backed towards the tree line, ever so slowly so she would not be noticed. She had been doing a good job of hiding from the others of the pride lately. She had somehow managed to learn to faded into the trees like the leopard cub had done, though, with her coat, it was quite a feat. She would sneak away and listen, but she would not be seen.
Maybe he's forgotten all about me... hopefully... she thought as she hid herself from view.

Oh Nyek had seen her arrive, he knew exactly who was here and he growled low in his throat watching her back away. "Amani" he called his voice a rough threatening bark. he had told her once before she belonged to him. harabu was not here, the cub had gone again, he was not at all pleased about that but the slave was still here and it required a lesson. "Come to me girl i have a gift for you" he sneered his golden yellow eyes sparkling in a way which was not at all pleasing.
Strehcing his claws upont he ledge he was perched upon he waited quietly. She would be an example. She had dissobayed him. When he called they came forwards, when HE called they should hop to it and show them selves not vanish in to the shadows. "Amani" he hissed quietly his tail lashing just alittle angrilly. How dare she dissobay him! Had he not warned ehr once aleady?

Amani flinched when he called her name, but she hung her head and crept forward. Not as a naughty child would, but as one who was tired or worn.
She knew that tone. It was the one Harabu had used when her tongue had slipped. And she had no doubt what was coming either. It's just another scar... He wouldn't actually kill me... No, he just might, she thought as she stopped before him, not looking up.
