Tyyne watched Teagan's action and smiled. He was a nice guy, really. "Shy is not bad." The girl blushed as she said so and wondered why Liang was shy if everybody should deem her beautiful.
Something inside of her told her that she wanted to be alone with Teagan, but then she started to feel guilty about it and tried to reply politely. "Sure, I don't mind." She folded her hands and pushed it between her knees, looking a bit insecure. Her golden eyes trailed towards Teagan and hoped he'd help her a bit. She'd never been at a boy's home before.

Noticing that Tyy seemed a bit on edge, it may have just been his imagination, Tea pat Liang on the shoulder, "How about you go work on your calligraphy? That card you made for Momma was beautiful, I'm sure she'd love another." She'd probably sense that he wanted her to leave, but he was trying to ask her in the nicest possible way.
At the compliment, the young girl beamed, "You really liked it?" Not waiting for an answer, she got to her feet and brushed off her dress, "I could make one for Miss Tyyne too! Thank you Brother, I feel much better." She blushed a bit when she noticed how loud she'd been then gave a slight bow and left the room.
"There, that's better," Tea sighed when the room was finally empty and they were by themselves. Tipping one ear down, he blushed, "You did want to be without my sister for a bit, right?" Well, either way what was done was done, he couldn't exactly call Liang back in. Straihgtening up on the couch, he subtley moved a bit closer to her, remembering how contact always calmed him down.

Tyyne was about to sigh. She was always uncomfortable around strangers and this little had to be so pretty and she...well...wasn't and...
Her eyes widened as Teagan send her outside and as Liang announced that she wanted to make a card for her, Tyyne suddenly felt guilty. For a moment she wanted to call the girl back, but then she was gone already.
Oh...he had noticed it. That was so embarrassing. Now he probably thought she wanted to be alone with him ! Tyyne blushed horribly and thought about a good answer as she felt how Teagan came closer. She didn't back away, because she remembered how nice it had been to hold his hand, but still she was insecure.
"I thought...it wouldn't be...good for her...to watch...movies for older children ?"

Tea shook his head, "She doesn't really watch movies, except old romance movies and some really weird Chinese movies." He shrugged, "She just likes sitting with me I guess, she gets really attached to guys for some reason. Doesn't matter whether she knows them or they're nice or anything, just if they're older and male. I guess it has something to do with her DNA." Realizing he was rambling, he stopped talking and blushed.
It was apparent that his soul had affected him, and not just the physical aspects. He liked being close to others, and had strange ignorance to the fact that more contact was not always better for everyone. Thinking maybe she would be a bit more comfortable with some background noise, he flipped on the television. The channel was still the travel channel, though now it had gone from the program about beaches to one about the remaining rainforests. His ears twitched slightly at the sight of the high trees, but he wasn't sure why.

"DNA ?" Tyyne questioned and listened to Teagan's words quite interested. "I think guys like her, she looks so pretty. Instead of me.
Nervously Tyyne started to play with a strand of hair and tried to ignore the fact that Teagan was so close to her. Quickly she focused on the TV. "Woah, I'd love to go there one day." All the plants. Alright, it was a bit crowded, but it seemed so...nice.

Tea nodded, "Yeah, she's from a lab. She is pretty cute I guess." He turned to look at her with a joking smile, "But she makes me dizzy sometimes." Besides, Liang was his little sister, and even if she hadn't been, she still couldn't hold a candle to Tyyne. Not that he would say that out loud, at least not yet. She'd probably think he was weird for not being able to get her out of his head. Or calling her beautiful or something. That stuff always worked in movies but Duncan told him that if you just tried that straight up in real life you'd get some really weird looks.
Focusing his attention back on the TV. "Yeah, it's really something isn't it. Momma says a lot more of the world used to be like that, but now it's just a really small part." He paused, flipping his hair back out of his eyes, "I think I'm going to go their soon. Like, not right now, when I'm a little bit older. I want to travel. Momma might even let me join the Peace Corps for a while."

Oh. Yeah, cute. Tyyne was indeed jealous now. It was strange, she knew that it was the little sister, but still she felt a bid sad about it. She would have liked to know if he thought she was beautiful too, but she was very scared to ask.
Usually girls made guys dizzy when they were sexy. That's what the magazines told her. Perhaps she should try something like that too ? Didn't it say 'look deep into his eyes' or something ?
Tyyne gathered all her courage as she looked at Teagan with her golden eyes as intensively as possible. "Would you like to tell me about Peace Corps ?"

Tea seemed hypnotized for a moment, just looking into her eyes. Had they always been that pretty? He hadn't really noticed, but then again she rarely looked right at people. "Um," He fumbled, blushing absently because he couldn't quite remember the words, "The Peace Corps is. Um."
Mentally slapping himself, he managed to take a breath and get the words right, both in his head and out of his mouth. "The Peace Corps is an organization that goes around to developing countries and helps the people with the economy. I'd probably end up helping out on a farm cause I'm pretty strong." Being around Tyy made him feel a bit dumb, she always seemed so smart. And perfect, and beautiful, and elegant. And now he was getting out of hand. People could probably see him blushing from space. He wondered if she knew how much he liked her. And even more so, if she liked him too.

"Yes ?" He seemed a bit nervous, didn't he ? It worked ! And suddenly Tyyne noticed what she was doing. She was trying on these flirting tricks. Scared of herself she quickly looked away again and blushed horribly. Oh damn, now he probably thought that he liked him in THAT way...
Tyyne listened to his words and it really sounded interesting. "Do they also take girls ? I'm not that strong." On a farm far away with not many people, that would be a good thing.
For a moment Tyyne seemed to dream about such a thing, but then she was pushed back into reality as one of her dangling feet accidentally hit Teagan's. It was so nice to talk to him, he knew far more people than she probably did. What was bad about him thinking that she liked him doing the flirting stuff ? It made her feel comfortable somehow.
She looked back into his face. Was he truly blushing ?

His blush started to fade away as he realized she didn't think it was a dumb idea. "Yeah, they take anyone. It's more than just physical work too, you can help the people set up markets and handle things like that. You'd be good at that, you're really smart." Had he noticed what he had just said, he would have blushed again, but seeing as he didn't, it didn't bother him.
His ears were both perked up now, eagerly hoping that she would say something else. She had a really nice voice too. There were so many things you didn't notice about a person until you were alone with them. Even as uncomfortable as he had been feeling, he was glad that she had agreed to come with them. So the morning wasn't going as planned, that was ok. So they'd be going to the late service with the old people instead of the early one, that was ok too. All that mattered was that he was getting to be with Tyyne, away from the other Edens and his somewhat annoying gymnastics friends.

It really wasn't so hard to look at someone all the time. Especially if it was someone who made you compliments, Tyyne noticed. "Really ?" The words blurted out of her and quickly she put a hand in front of her mouth. Oops.
"Thank you, Tea. I'm not that smart though. I'm just normal. Everything about me is normal." She shrugged. It was the truth, Lena had never mentioned that she had done something extremely well or exciting.
"You're much more like a filmstar to me." Tyyne blushed. It was the truth though. He was goodlooking and sporty and knew a lot of things and wanted to do this Peace Corps thing she totally hadn't a clue about. Her heart was racing strangely.

Tea smiled, seeming a bit confused at her comparison. Filmstar? No way, they were graceful and smooth and they always knew just what to say. He was clumsy and dumb, and he always messed things up. But oh well, if she saw him that was that was just the way she thought, right? He ran a hand back over his hair, trying desperately to get the few stray pieces to stay slicked down like they were supposed to. Distraction, always a good time winner.
After he had successfully fixed his hair, for now at least, he had to talk. And so, mulling over what she had just said, he decided he would have to tell her the same thing he had at the party. She didn't seem to get it. She wasn't just some normal average girl, not at all. Stubbornly, he grabbed one of her hands. "You're not normal, none of us are. You were the first, you're perfect! I like you the way you are, who you are, no different," He insisted with a determined look in his eyes, intent on making sure she would remember it this time. Wait. He had just told her she was perfect. And that he liked her. Eek.

Oh. Tyyne remembered when he had said something similar to her at the party, but she had suggested that it was only because he had been sorry about dumping her beforehand.
She just stared at him and finally noticed that he was holding her hand. It was indeed a nice feeling when he touched her. This time she didn't draw her hand away, but looked back into his eyes and now she started to feel dizzy. He had said she was perfect and he liked her ?
Her cheeks were burning red as she gasped and a little squeal escaped her lips. She was pretty much shocked. "I really like you too, Teagan." One of her pale hands moved in top of his one and she trembled nervously. Something told her to run, the other part told her that this was nice. "Thank you." She whispered.

Tea blushed, looking down at their hands. She wasn't pulling away, that was good, wasn't it? He wanted to do something more, give her a hug or kiss her, something that would show her how much he liked her. But he couldn't do that. She'd probably get really upset and want to leave. "I um." He started, "You don't need to thank me."
His blush had faded to a faint steady one, and though his heart was pouding in his ears he was glad to be here. Just here, sitting with her. He was starting to feel dizzy himself, and he could almost feel his stomach in his throat, but it was a good kind of dizzy. Yeah. "I'm glad you could come," he admitted, silently hoping that the late service would be later than usual so he could stay here with her a little longer.

Tyyne quickly tried to remember what the magazines said. She felt a bit strange though and wasn't really able to think straight, but quickly an article came back to her mind. Usually girls leaned against the boy's shoulder if they liked him. She really really liked Teagan, but she feared to do so and then he would probably hate her.
"I'm happy that you invited me." Tyyne smiled at him and hoped he would do something. She didn't know what she wished for, but after all she didn't know what to do like this either. Her eyes spotted the hands and she felt glad that she had managed not to pull away.
