[.:The Finding:..: Baby:.] Entering the Shop for the First Time Kyrianna "Hush little baby don't say a word..." Ianna sang softly, more of a prayer than anything else. The tiny moon baby not shut up since she was dropped off at her door step. It had never happened before, the leaving of a child, and it worried her that someone would abandon such a sweet thing.
Or, something that would be sweet when it shut up.
Finally, Artemis did quiet down and slip into sleep, causing Ianna to sigh in relief.
Done. Finished. SHE WAS ASLEEP...
Maybe the new guardian would show up today? Ianna vaguely wondered who would be pulled. Faeyas Ariel sighed as she stood up and wondered her room yet again. Ok so maybe camping out in a shop wasn't the smartest of plans, but it got her where she needed to be. Least so she hoped.
Something was differant today, normally she could easy work for hours stright without needing to stand up and pace in order to get her mind stright.
A walk.
A walk would help.
She slipped on her shoes and decided to explore the shop a little, see if she could get into the shop instead of just the lobby. Somehow, going there seemed rather important.
If it was enough to take away from her work, it must be worth at least a look.
Walking out, then locking her room, Ariel went into the lobby, where she saw the door to the wand shop was cracked. Inside she heard a melody, a song, like a lullaby.
Curious, she quietly stepped up to the door and pushed it open enough to sneak in. No one would know she was in there. The shelves hid her well as she snuck around trying to find the source of the melody.
It was a woman, kind, yet professonal....and she was holding a beautiful baby. Ariel was so mezmorized that she hardly realized that she had been slowly approaching the pair, until she tripped over a box and face planted right in plain vew.
"Oh ....umm...hello?" Ari hoped she wasn't in trouble... Kyrianna Ianna lifted her head and blinked, "Hello," she said softly, wincing just a bit when the noise made the child twitch in her sleep, "Do be careful, please, the little one just got to sleep..."
She stroked her cheek gently and smiled, "Left on my door step. One of my own returned..." she huffed softly at the thought and shifted in her seat, "You must be the new guardian. Why else would you be here this late?"
Yes, she must be the new guardian, because Artemis was getting warm. Faeyas Ari picked herself up from the floor and was attempting to pick up the mess she had made when she heard "Left on my door step."
Nothing else went through Ari's head except that one line.
"Left here? oh dear the poor little thing, is the baby alright? oh of course she's alright, I mean she's sleeping and..." Ari covered her mouth, realizing she was talking loud after having made that huge crash. "sorry." she whispered.
Then the rest of what she had said finnally made it into Ari's head and her eyes widened, "What do you mean...new gaurdian? Did her parents leave me, specifically the custody? I've never met them if that's it..."
Kyrianna "No, no...She's fine, really, but no, her mother didn't know you." Ianna laughed softly, shifting Artemis gently in her arms and carefully holding the sleeping child over to Faeyas, "You felt drawn here, yes? Like something couldn't, or wouldn't, leave you alone? And the feeling went away when you got here?"
Silver eyes twinkled slightly in the dimmed light of the shop, "And it's quite all right. She'd just been crying terribly up until a few minutes ago." Faeyas Ari looked at the women like she was crazy, "Yeah I felt pulled here, I have since I first came here, but ... I dun know, it was like I couldn't sit still, so I decided to explore, the door was open, so I came in." She walked over to the lady and the baby, "At least she's calm, but what do you mean, 'gaurdian'?"Ariel knew she wasn't supposed to have come in here, but this lady, seemed to think that it was alright.
Kyrianna "Take her, hold her. You need to, you know, since you're her new mother," Ianna's lips twitched slightly, "Her name is Artemis, and her element is of the moon. The wand there," she indicated to the silver and moonstone wand laying on her desk, "Is where she was born from. NEVER let the wand break. It will kill her," she took a deep breath.
"Most of all, bring her here often. There are other children like her. And she needs to know them." Faeyas The girl babe, Artemis was transfered to Ari's arms, as she held the baby gently, yet secure. The child felt so warm, and looked so peaceful as she held her. "She's beautiful...." Ari felt drawn to her instantly, and suddenly all the images from what happened around the shop came shooting back. Ari looked at the lady, "That's what those wands where, all those people here, are gaurdians arn't they? That's why I'm here..." while supporting the child in her arms, Ari picked up the moon wand and tucked it securly into her pocket, "I wont let it break, I promise to keep her safe...this is all just so sudden...." Kyrianna She nodded, "Aye. The guardian of this little one left her here. It was lucky she did it after the child was emerged or she would have never been reborn. Even now, it'll be a hard adjustment losing her guardian. I warn you, she may be fussy at first."
Ianna looked at the woman and child, biting back a small sigh, "You should get her home, though. I can explain more to you when you've settled in with her. But first, what's your name?" Faeyas The warning was a usual one, yes children were fussy. Ari was just greatful that this little one was allowed to live on as she was.
The question suprised her, no matter how simple. "My name is Ariel Mason." She held the child close, "I can come back once she settles, my room is just down in the boarding area of the shope, she needs things like a crib, I can get." It was just then that Ari realized there was little day light left in the day, "Can I come back tomorrow? would that be ok?" Ari looked at the lady, and then just asked, a questions he ahd been wondering for a bit of time, "What's your name? who are you?" Kyrianna "Ianna. A pleasure to meet you, Ariel. And yes, you can come back at any time," she smiled and gave a small bow, "As for me, I should go check on my daughter. I hope Artemis won't be too much trouble for you. Goodnight."
She slid off the chair she was sitting in and walked through the portal to the headquarters, closing the door, and locking it, behind her.
It was time to see if Coailiann had woken up yet. Faeyas Ariel was, shocked to say the least.
"Ianna!" she called, thinking that in her rush to see her daughter that the lady had forgotten that she had trapped Ariel in the shop by locking the door.
Great. Bloody great. Ariel sighed and rocked the child in her arms, "Let's see Artemis if your new mummy can remember how to pick locks." She really wished there was a place to set Artemis down, and suddenly there was like a silver/gray car seat next to the desk, "Well, that works." not questioning a life saver, she set Artemis in it and pulled out her picks that she picked up in Europe at one point.
Unlocking the main door took time but soon Ari was out. She went back to pick up Artemis and walked out with the child wand, and picks. The door open for them to leave.
But once they left the room, the door slammed shut behind them. Curious, Ariel set down Artemis and checked the door.
It was locked.
Fancy that.
"Ok Artemis, lets go to the store and pick you up a new, umm, necessities." And they left the shoppe and building for the store.

[. razz rivate RP #1:..: Baby:.] Serenity - Nepherina and Ariel w/ Artemis + wand AIM Abstinthe Kisses (6:11:27 PM): Neph was sitting in the gardens of the HQ enjoying the quiet and the feeling of simply existing. Things had been hectic at home, especially since she had been put in charge of fixing the kitchen after Tybalts experiments with oil paint on the stove. Her fingers were trailing in the water the wand sitting in her lap and her eyes closed
RelenaStarbreeze (6:17:50 PM): Ariel continued her search around the newly discovered alter area of the shop until she entered a place that appeared outdoors. She felt as though she had been here once before, and recalled the Easter Egg Hunt earlier that year. "It's so beautiful..." she stood in awe, setting down the carseat/ carrying device in which she held Artemis. The babe was still asleep and Ari had a feeling it was due to the fact is was day light. She sat in teh cool grass a few minutes and let the wind flow onto her face and through her thin brown hair. It was relaxing here. As she sat quiet she heard the sound of water, and curious to see if there was a lake or a pond here, Ari went to investigate. There sat a lady by the side of some water, seeming extremly relaxed. Remembering Ianna mentioning that there were others, Ari wondered if she should disturb this peace to find out... In stead she simply sat Artemis down on the grass again, and just watched. Artemis on the other hand, had differant plans, maybe she was simply hungry, or knocked around one to many times durring Ari's trip around this other place, but Artemis seemed to find that moment, the perfect time to wake up, and cry. "Oh dear...."
Abstinthe Kisses (6:20:51 PM): Neph opened her eyes at the sound of a cryign child lookign around for the source of the tears. Seeing a woman in the grass with a crying infant nestled in her lap neph smiled and stood. She walked over to the two kneeling down in the grass her black pesant skirt pooling around her as she did so.
Abstinthe Kisses (6:21:43 PM): Her eyes softened as she saw the baby so very upset and she didn
Abstinthe Kisses (6:22:38 PM): 't think she could just leave it so she reached out with the hand holding Ryvan and moved the wand in front of the child having noticed that they seemed to be calmed by eachothers presence at most times.
RelenaStarbreeze (6:27:44 PM): Ari felt a little odd, that the lady had walked over here, so quiet, yet so knowing, and waved the wand, which Ari had guessed would eventually become a child like Artemis, and seemed to soften the tears of the child. Ariel rocked the child soothingly and sung the riddle song. "She's getting used to the scenery." Ariel explained to the woman, "It was probably a bad choice of mine to bring her somewhere where it is so bright. My name is Ariel by the way, and thanks, for whatever you just did." She nodded to the wand in the lady's hand.
Abstinthe Kisses (6:30:21 PM): She smiled at Ariel her eyes twinkling "My name is Nephrenia, but please call me Neph or Nephy. And it was no problem the children that I have encountered seem to be comforted by those like them. But then Her wand also has flames which children seem to like." She smiled looking down at the child "And what is this little beauties name?"
RelenaStarbreeze (6:35:23 PM): "Her name is Artemis." Ariel looked down as the little girl in her arms. The babe seemed to calm her efforts down to nothing, and then looked up, almost mezmorized at Ariel. "She's usually so quiet, she sleeps alot." She looked up at the lady and her wand, "So your a guardian as well? Thats wonderful, its wonderful to meet you. This is my first time here." she made a small backwards nod to indicate the entirety of this area. "What is it called?" she blushed, "I um, sorta just came into the shopp again because Ianna said I could come back, and this back door was open, and I like to discover, but, I have no idea where I am, it's so lovely here." Ari was clearly nervous, after all she was in the presence of a true Guardian, not just a second guardian, and probably knew more then Ari did about this entire place.
Abstinthe Kisses (6:38:16 PM): "Well I've always just called this place the HQ and we are in the garden. Ianna is very nice and you'll find most of the guardians to be friendly." She smiled and looked down at her wisped wand "Guess the wand gave me away as a guardian." She teased gently smiling the entire time, hopefully the woman wouldn't take offense. "So have you met any other guardians.?"
RelenaStarbreeze (6:40:52 PM): Ariel chuckled a little, enjoying the womans humor. "No acctually I haven't, and my time with Ianna, was brief, so I really couldn't get to know her well." She smiled, " No means to flatter, but I'm sure if everyone is as friendly as you, then I will enjoy meeting everyone of them." Ariel gently rocked Artemis until her eyes fell under the heavy influance of a baby's needed sleep. "So how large is this place?"
Abstinthe Kisses (6:43:09 PM): "Ive never actually explored the entire space but my guess is that its huge. My fiancees friend and his daughter actually live here so I could just ask them the next time I see them."
Her fingers tangled in the grass as her eyes lit upon the child, Artimis, She could not wait until her child reached that stage in life.
RelenaStarbreeze (6:49:20 PM): Ari smiled, "From my wanderings thus far, yeah its pretty large." she smiled and was about to set Artemis back in her carrier when the child squirmed, and Ari had to pull her back to her chest to keep the babe from wriggling out of her arms. Artemis started making a whinning sound and Ari giggled. "So much energy..." She on handedly pulled out the moon rimmed blanket that had be wrapped around Artemis when Ari had been given her, and placed it flat on the ground. She then gently layed down Ari onto it. "Considering you just ate, and then I changed your dippy, and burped you, and you don't seem to want to sleep, I think you want to explore is that right Artemis?" Ari giggled at the blank stare the babe gave her as Artemis laid on her back. She had not learned to crawl and Ari guessed that would come with the next stage, but she did love to roll and twist, and grab things while on her back, not in the carrier or in Ari's arms. "She is so energetic, its amamzing." she smiled at the other woman, "Tell me about your wand, it looks very interesting!" Ari smiled and encouraged the lady to do her own bragging as Artemis had already on her own, done Ari's for her.
Abstinthe Kisses (6:53:01 PM): "Well as you can tell it seems to be made of burnt wood and flame. I'm absolutley certain that it is female too, she just grew to this stage about a week ago and I am calling her Ryvan as it seems right to her." Neph wasn't really much about bragging. She reached into her bag and handed the child a small clear teething ring, she had been planning to donate some of the other Kids baby stuff to some of the people at the HQ and teething rings were fun even when you werent teething.
RelenaStarbreeze (6:55:33 PM): Artemis seemed to enjoy that, she cooed and lifted the ring above her head with both hands, then letting go with one slammed it onto the blanket and brought it back up to her face. Repeating the process many times, sometimes switching hands. "Ryvan sounds like a beautiful name Nephy. Does it mean anything?"
Abstinthe Kisses (6:56:26 PM): "Absolutley nothing, I made it up to be quite honest. I'm actually quite ecstatic about her becuase I have never had a female child before."
RelenaStarbreeze (7:00:19 PM): Ari smiled, "Thats wonderful, man I wish I could make up names like that!" she smiled shutting her eyes, a Japanese thing she had picked up in her stay in Japan and she said with utter sincerity, "I'm positive that she'll be absolutly wonderful, and I can't wait to meet her myself." She smiled over at Artemis, "Maybe when Ryvan grows, Artemis and she can meet again? I'm sure Artemis would enjoy that." The small babe who had been calmed by Nephy's wand would surly remember if nothing else, the feeling of the other child.
Abstinthe Kisses (7:01:58 PM): "Absolutley, of course they can meet again, your daughter seems absolutley lovely." Neph lay back in the grass enjoying the feel of grass on her skin.
RelenaStarbreeze (7:04:44 PM): Ariel blushed, "Thank you, but I cannot take the full credit for that, I've had her maybe one or two days, her previous Guardian deserves most of the credit." Ari put her hand in a little area of water near her, and swirrled her hand around, watching the movements of the water, occasionally glacing over at Artemis to ensure the child hadn't attempted to get onto her belly. Artemis remained giggling and kicking her legs as she played with the small clear ring.
Abstinthe Kisses (7:05:52 PM): Neph laughed "If she lost her previous guardian then you can indeed take credit, many children would be absolutley wreched after that."
RelenaStarbreeze (7:09:12 PM): "I don't know," Ari smiled at Artemis, "Its not due to me that she is here, her other guardian brought her to this stage in life. I'm just now getting to know her." Ari reached over and caressed Artemis's head gently, "I'm just happy she is here and well. Isn't that right Artemis?" And even if the babe didn't understand a single word Ari has said, Artemis then choose that moment to shout gleefully in her baby jabber, causing Ari to giggle.
Abstinthe Kisses (7:09:53 PM): Neph laughed and smiled "Well either way you seem to be doing a wonderful job of takign care of her."
RelenaStarbreeze (7:11:45 PM): Ari smiled at Neph, "Can't take credit there either, I learned from my mother and my baby sitter when I was younger. They taught me so much that I feel I need to send them both huge baskets of chocolate to even begin to repay them for the information and wisdom they gave me." She smiled at Nephy, "How amyn children do you have, you said Ryvan would be your first daughter?"
Abstinthe Kisses (7:14:15 PM): "Well between me and my fiancee there is 11 or so, but they are all boys so I never had the chance to do any mother daughter things, well except for my one son who was very muich into the girly scene."
RelenaStarbreeze (7:16:11 PM): Ari giggles slightly, "He must be a wonderful son." She couldn't imagine anything better then a boy who appreciated girly things too. Glancing at Artemis, Ari could bet that with her energy, that she would turn out boyish, but then again, she jsut met the child, so what would she know? Artemis could enjoy dancing and looking frilly for all Ari knew.
Abstinthe Kisses (7:17:25 PM): "He actually just moved out, him and two of our other sons."
RelenaStarbreeze (7:19:26 PM): "Really?" Ariel smiled, "You must eb so proud then, and they must be having the time of their lives." She looked up at the sky, "Nothing is better then the freedom to travel whereever you want to go, thats
RelenaStarbreeze (7:20:02 PM): what got me to where I am today, I love to travel, and have done so since I could." Ari chuckled, "Nomadic I know."
Abstinthe Kisses (7:27:00 PM): "I've always been about Stablity I guess becuase of my parents tendancy to move around so much."
RelenaStarbreeze (7:28:41 PM): "My parents wondered as well, I think I got it from them, I love to travel, and someday I hope Artemis will be able to join me. But until then, my adventure is here, with her." Ari gently tickled the infant and Artemis giggled so much she let go of the ring onto her blanket.
Abstinthe Kisses (7:31:21 PM): Neph just smiled at the two "you guys are so adorable."
RelenaStarbreeze (7:32:59 PM): Ari laughed, "No no, I appear adorable, but it is her, who is adorable, and anyone who is with her is only adorable by proximation." She winked at Nephy, she heard and understood fully what she had said, but Ari liked poking fun when she could.
Abstinthe Kisses (7:33:48 PM): she laughed "I feel the same about my children really I do."
RelenaStarbreeze (7:36:59 PM): Ari glanced over, and in that short period of time Artemis had fallen asleep. Gently Ari picked up the babe and placed her in her carrier. She shook out the blanket and placed it on the child and caressed her forehead. Whispering Ari spoke again to Nephy, "Well as she's asleep again I had better get her into the car before she starts up again. She stood and offered her hand, whether it was for a shake or a hand up, Ari would let Nephy decide, "It was wonderful meeting you, hopefully we will see each other again sometime in the near future?"
Abstinthe Kisses (7:38:12 PM): Neph let the offered hand be used for both a hand up and a shake grinning she nodded "Absolutley I'd love to see the two of you again, hopefully when this one is a little mroe active."
RelenaStarbreeze (7:39:47 PM): Ari laughed a little and picked up Artemis, She looked around for the exit, and once she found it she smiled at Nephy, "I'm sure she'll be active enough here soon. Until then." Ari waved as she left the Gardens finding her way out of the head quarters.
Abstinthe Kisses (7:40:10 PM): Neph smiled as the other woman left before resuming her place at the fountain just existing.

[.:Open RP #1:..: Baby:.] Library - NN, Noz, Vo, Nu, Faeyas, and Kyrianna NinetailedNightmare [will fetch color later] The chill of the library did not bother her at all. And even if it did, she would dub the temperature worth it to be among the shelves of books. Kyo wandered among the various aisle, her dark blue eyes scanning for nothing in particular. Sometimes she came here in her free time just to walk. And if someone found her passed out on the floor with a book in hand? They'd probably leave her to it and not make such a huge deal over it like other places did.
Okay, so it really wasn't wise of her to let the sleep overtake her when she was following behind her students downstairs for lunch, but she couldn't help it! She'd warned the school of her health condition but still they let her teach so long as she carried pills around with her.
As of late, though, she hardly felt tired. Whether it really had to do with the wand she kept in her messenger bag was unsure. She just knew that whenever she was tired and felt the visions of times that once were licking at the corners of her eyes, all she had to do was tap the impaled skull of the wand and it went away. Now she walked along with the flap of the thing open, where she could easily access it. That and it gave the little purple wisp at the top some room to float around.nozomi_ga_kanau "Shiniee?" Iamel was curious, peeking around the bookshelf with a beam to his face. The little bird thing flounced around the library, dragging the pregnant, dark man behind him. Yashi was toddling along beside them, giggling and using his wand as a little cane.
"Tousan~" The kitsune squeaked curiously, fingers rising up to twist in the older mans jean, tugging slightly. "Tousan?"
"Hmm?" Patrick, distracted by his eldest, glanced down at Yashi with a little smile. "Yeah, small fry?"
Yashi hesitated, nose wrinkling up. "...watage~"
"No, sweetheart. I'm 'tousan'. No watage around."
"Watage!" Vocalization Ahiru drifted along behind Stray, wondering what the red-headed angel could possibly want in this area that felt of must and age. Of course, she couldn't really tell why the other did most things, even to why she bothered to cook. And now she had to follow the crazed woman as she looked around a bookshelf at a hugely fat- Ahi could almost say he was pregnant- man, a multicolored boy thing, and a kid with kitsune ears.
"You know him?" she asked in an annoyed tone as she peered around the bookshelf as well- it would prolly seem weird when a voice came out of thin air. There was no response from Stray, but the angel's amber eyes were alert.
Soulless things could be so weird. Especially Stray, who still acted like she had a soul. But redheads, seventh sons of seventh sons, mother-like figures, mages and some such ilk were the only ones who could see her. Ahiru sighed again. If the man was pregnant, maybe he wouldn't start yelling about a ghost, like the last place Stray had gone had.
A belated response from Stray sent the ghost-like woman jumping. "Yes, I think so." Her voice was quiet, almost whisperish. "I'm not sure." Bloody Anubis There came from one of the rows of books a soft, startled cry. Never would she stand on her tip-toes and try to pick up a book again. No, next time she was getting a stepping stool. So what if she was tall for her age?
Sibuna found herself on her rear, in a daze, with several books strewn across the floor and clumped in her lap. She was only trying to get the thick book of 'myths' and, damn, had she ever gotten it. Right to the forehead was where she'd gotten it!
"Uhh..." Soft brown fingers ran themselves through her dark curls, messaging the scalp and her temples in attempt to make the headache pass. Inside of her mind, a voice was scolding her for the incompetence she already knew she had. Sibuna sighed, looking around. Had anyone seen her? She certainly hoped not! And thank the Lord she'd been wearing jeans today and not her characteristic skirt.
Her nails scraped across the covers of the various books as she piled them in her arms. Fine. She'd read them all and compile more knowledge than she had originally planned to, that was all. She glanced up, however, at the sound of some foreign language coming from the other side of the shelf. Curiously, she pulled some of the books out of the shelf before her and peered through. Faeyas Books.
Books.
The room was enough to make Ari pause on her way from the gardens and Nephy. She was supposed to be going back to the car, to take Artemis home...but one little stop in the room filled with books wouldn't cause anyone much harm would it?
She looked down; Artemis was still sleeping soundly, Ari smiled.
Rooms filled with books were naturally quiet. The soft pages made their amount of noise, so powerful to those who could hear that a hush would fall over the right person in their presence.
Ariel was such a person. Books were, in a way, A large part of her life. She had no idea what she would do without the books she had read. Holding Artemis in one hand her other gently caressed each book on the middle self as she passed, memorized.
A sound snapped her out of her trance and as she turned the corner she saw what appeared to be a gathering of people.
Not just any people, Ari thought to herself, more Guardians!
not sure how to approach, and certain that yet again, her entrance would be muddled with noise or falling or something clumsy and embarrassing, Ariel simply set Artemis on the table, and gently pull her along it as she approached the group, a smile on her face.
She stopped, out of the corner of her eye there was a book she had not seen for ages! "Secret Country!" she shouted, forgetting to be quiet, and realizing, that yet again, she had given herself away. Face to palm, Ari hoped she wasn't red.
Artemis slept quietly in her carrier on the table, taking no notice what so ever. Kyrianna "Must find!" Coailiann complained to herself, wandering around the vast library. She couldn't quite read yet, but she figured the pictures in the book she was looking for would be good enough. She would, eventually, maybe ask Patrick to teach her.
...Whenever she saw him and Yashima again.
"ARGH!" she growled, trailing her finger along the row of books in an attempt to find something that looked like a book on harps, "Why is reading so hard?"
It wasn't as if anyone could h--What WAS that? Giving a little jog to the end of the book shelves, she peeked out to see the other people milling around. Oh! Guardians! Several looked vaguely familiar and...was that Patrick?
"PATRICK!" She screeched, bounding out towards him, her long white hair blowing around her and the breeze her movements made causing her pink dress to flutter around her.
...She needed to go shopping. Badly.
Wouldn't her Pat be proud when he saw her?
Unfortunately, she ignored everyone else. NinetailedNightmare Watage? Kyo blinked slowly at the sound, trying to figure out where she'd heard the word from. And then there came a girlish squeal that gave her the exact answer she was looking for. Ah, Patrick. Was the same pregnant man she'd met in head-quarters really here? Well, if he was, that'd be a pleasant surprise...
She stiffened suddenly, however, upon feeling a rather sharp pain coarse through her shoulder. The babe that she had been carrying around for quite some time now had begun to get irritated and now glared up at her with a set of glowing golden eyes and bared teeth. Kyo gave Zetsu a soft rock and a short coo, but it only seemed to ruffle him more.
They wanted to be put down. Now. Who cared if the place was foreign? It was full of hard objects perfect for chewing on. Good for ripping and tearing and...
Eating. Maybe those things around them now were eatable? They were also hungry, the two beings than inhabited the body of this scrawny little baby with mismatched skin. Kyo needed to get them something to eat, not talk to them. They'd been cooed at and talked to enough. Now it was time for some..
Destruction. Now. Let us down!
But Kyo would have none of this. Instead, she simply reached into her bag and drew out a pacifier and inserted it into the baby's mouth. That'd hold him off for a while. Hopefully.
Her eyes found another female down the aisle, except this one was on her rear and had probably taken a nasty topple while Kyo's mind was wandering. But really... what was she doing looking through the book cases like that? "Excuse me... Do you need help?" A gesture to the books. She only had one hand, sure, but she'd still be willing to help. nozomi_ga_kanau Patrick screamed, like a little girl - like he had been screaming when he first came along his eldest child. The pregnant man ducked away from the girl who was SO very intent on tackling his rather large body, hiding behind the small frame that was his oldest child.
Iamel yelped and was instead the one hit by Kay. The redhair clashed rather well with that white wig that Kay was wearing and he went tumbling to the ground with a screech.
"What teh ********!?" The bird yelped, writhing, trying to free himself from the sidhe. "SHINIEE! What the ******** was that?! GOddamnit!"
Patrick just shook his head, nose wrinkling. "She DIVED at me! Kay!"
"Kay?" Yashi squeaked out, wide golden eyes turning to the sidhe. "Iiiya! Watage! Ahhi watage!"Vocalization "I wouldn't want to know him." Ahiru grumbled, shaking her hair out of her eyes as the other woman got the most owl-faced 'gasp bad word' look she'd ever seen. She (Ahi) drifted down the hallway- the better to hear this chat, which promised to be interesting- with Stray trailing after her like a puppy.
It was kind of creepy in a way. "Ahiru~..." Stray said in a half-whining tone. "Slow down." She was practically trotting after the other, hands linked together tightly. "Ahiru!" she repeated, when the other stopped right behind Patrick, getting a slightly crafty look. The invisible woman tapped him on the shoulder gently. "S'cuze me. I can't get to my book." In case he could see her- effectively ruining the prank- she pointed upwards with the hand still resting on Patrick's shoulder to a fantasy novel a little beyond Patrick and Iamel. Bloody Anubis Sibuna jumped at the attention from the woman down the row. And she'd thought no one had seen! Oh well, too late now... However, as a scream erupted through the library, she looked back to see the flailing man and his child.
Whadda bad chile. Usin' Satan's words to do his angry wordin'. I tole you you shoulda brought dat holy water down here whicha but you jest dun listen to me...
Sibuna ignored the voice, making a small cross over her chest before she turned back to Kyo. "I'm sorry ma'am. I dun wanna be troubling your or anything. I just took a bit of a tumble. Nothing too bad." However, she did offer the woman a book so as not to be rude in some odd way.
She feared for her wand suddenly, which rested on a table not too far away among piles of literature. The little purple thing piqued her interest as well, but she bit her tongue for the time being. It looked like Miss Kiarna's and Mister Daniel's wisp as well as the one that had recently developed over her own wand. Maybe it was one of... /those/ things? Faeyas
Ari was being looked at. Great she caused another scene. With people offering to help her, she was greatful that she hadn't caused as great a scene as the pink girl who had seemingly ran over to the Man, who looked ...big....
The boy beside him kept mumbling, she listened closely and almost didn't believe her ears.
She smiled at those who had spoken to her, "I'm fine, sorry for the scare." she grabed the book, sat it down beside Artemis, who thank gods was still asleep, and walked over to the boy. She kneeled in front of him.
Her eyes were serious until she squeeed, " Ah kami-sama! Kawaiii Chisai Kitsune san!" She smiled brightly, "Watashi no onamae wa Mason Ariel desu." She seemed pleased, and relaxed, and almost overly cute speaking in one of her better known languages. She pointed generally twords the girl, whom the boy called 'Watage' "Onanako desu ne?" She asked, slightly confused. "Demo, Sore wa ona ga sukoshi watage desu na... Demo demo, Watage ga hanasenai ii desu yo. Ne, Chisai-Kitsune san?" She covered her mouth, " Aaa gomen! Chisai kitsune san onamae ja nai no ne...Onamae wa nan desu ka?"
She smiled at the little boy with the fox ears and tail. Kyrianna Kay blinked as she crashed into Iamel, giggling foolishly as she rolled off him and sat, squat on her rear, in the middle of the floor, "Patrick! Look! Look at me!" she giggled again and stood herself up, green eyes glittering proudly.
See, she had grown! Then she heard Yashima and her smile simply brightened, "Yashi!" she moved over to him and picked the toddler up, hugging him and nuzzling at him, "Hello there my kitsune!"
The young girl had switched to gaelic, the musical words floating from her lips.
The sidhe didn't seem to pay any mind to Ari, pulling her best friend close and cuddling before she sat down. It seemed that the little girl finally realized she, Patrick, Iamel and Yashi weren't the only ones in the room and she decided to be polite and let the lady she'd never seen before talk to Yashi.
She simply nuzzled into his neck, listening to the language she didn't understand. NinetailedNightmare Babbling in... Was that Japanese? The toddler in her arms shifted and grumbled at the sound of it, understandably. Kaze -one of her adopted children- spoke a variety of languages, but it was Japanese that seemed to be the neon-haired teen's mother tongue. Now that it was being spouted beyond the wall of books, she could understand the child's unease. Still, he was pacified, and that was all she was concerned with as far as he went.
Kyo took the book from Sibuna delicately, tucking it under her arm. She could see the woman's stare direct to the purple apparation floating around her bag and simply ignored it to an extent. If the woman asked, she'd explain, but otherwise she didn't feel up to rambling. "Where would you like this?"
Gaelic? Wow, okay... Now Kyo turned her eyes to the bookshelf and squinted. In response, several colors in the obscure shapes of humanoids appeared, alerting her as to every mood. Patrick was startled, perhaps a little bit frustrated. There were three smaller forms with him- children, she supposed. The calmer color would be what she took for Yashima, but she wasn't quite sure. There were two adults near Patrick and... oh, my. One was touching him from behind. Was that really such a great idea? nozomi_ga_kanau Yeah, good move. Stand behind a spazztic, pregnant black man and talk into his ear. She was lucky his water didn't break right there and hell broke loose. Instead, the dark male gave another loud yell, hand flashing back to smack at the invisible little thing behind him. "What the ********?! GO AWAY!" Sure, he had no clue but...this was Gaia. Anything was possible in Gaia.
Yashima just stared at the girl talking to him in Japanese. He understood a good deal of it and he talked to Youko a little in it before but.... The fox just whined deep in his throat, pushing his fingers against Coailianns skirt. She would protect him. Wouldn't she?
Something. Either way, he shook his head, pointing a chubby finger at the Japanese-speaking girl accusingly. "Geel." He spurted out in the closest thing in English he could muster. Girl. Girls were bad to him. Bad girls. Vocalization Despite the fact that Patrick had hit her pretty hard, the "invisible little thing" was laughing her a** off, occasionally saying "ow" and pausing to rework her jaw to where it was supposed to be, then collapsing into apocalyptic attacks of giggles again. "That was great!" she managed once, while trying to place her jaw back into its sockets for the fourth time.
"That was kind of rude, Ahiru." Stray said, crossing her arms and staring at the girl who was still laughing hysterically. "And he just told you to go away, didn't he?" A muffled response from the floor between giggles. "I think he is technically your elder, even if he's not your mother." Another response, this time grumbled. "You do have to listen to 'im. He's older than you, and was polite enough about it." Ahiru looked up at her balefully, saying something about being treated like a child. "Well, playing pranks like that, maybe you are a child." Bloody Anubis This was scary. If you happened to be some religious valley girl who was taught voices without a body were either angels or devils. Sibuna was. And from the way the female? was cackling, she was almost sure it must be the latter of the choices presented. She nearly bumped her head on the shelf once Kyo took the book.
"Oh! Ah... That table over there with all the books... There seems to be couple of those. Just follow me." The dark-skinned woman pushed to her feet and wobbled, teetering upon stilts for legs as she walked towards the tables. She paused upon seeing a sleeping Artemis and smiled to herself. She'd do her best to set her books down quietly and get out of Kyo's way.
Then she turned towards the group, who she could see and be seen by clearly. She wasn't going to be noticed unless she made a lot of noise, or made any sudden movements. "Thank ya again, Missus. What's that little 'un there?" What's his name, that was. She didn't really care to know what sort of thing was supposed to be half black and half white. "Did he come from that wand you have in your bag? If you don't mind me asking..." She glanced to Darva's wand and pressed her fingers lightly to the wood while the green wisp at the end floated here and there. Faeyas Ari looked a little confused at the boy "Geel-san? Kowaii onamae desu ne.." She decided the little boy was done with talking, even before she had started. "Saa... Mata ne Geel-san." Ari bowed and nodded to the man and girl around the little kitsune. "My name is Ariel." She explained, not sure if they had understood the conversation. "I just came in to see the books and now that I've seen them I better get going, I'm late as is." She nodded at the group and politely excused her way over to Artemis. She smiled at the lady near the girl.
Artemis had been sleeping, and for this Ari was most grateful... now if only she would remain sleeping for the car trip....
Ari left the room of books and down the hall until she was back in the shop again. Ari sighed, left the shop and went to her car. It was going to be a long drive.

[.:Journal #2:..: Baby:.] The Family Experiance Families can be annoying. Take for isntance my mother. I have not seen her in over a year, having been in a differance country, and the moment I get to her place, with artemis, she has me working.
Ari clean this, Ari help me cut this, Ari could you sew these peices together? Like she can't do all this herself. It was her own fault for being behind on her dead line anyway.
Artemis was starting to figet in her carrier when I finally told mom that I had just came over to introduce Artemis. My mother, the typical jewish daughter, doesn't bother to think and just asks "So who is my son in law?"
It took a bit of explaining, but I think after my explaining that Artemis came from a wand, like a real silver wand (not that kind of wand), she might have finally understood. But with my mother? Who knows.
Artemis woke up and for the first time, wasn't screming. Ok she made alot of noise, after all she was a hungry baby, but she accepted her bottle well and simply cooed and giggled. My mom attempted to get her to try crawling, and Artemis tried, she was so cute, after every fall she just pushed herself back up to try again.
We left about 11pm. Artemis was still wide awake but I needed to get back and Mom needed to finish her work. I was glad that my mom didn't ask me to stay the night to help her finish, I didn't think Artemis was quite ready for a new enviroment to sleep in.
So here I am, its not 2am, Artemis is still playing with her blocks that I picked up when I got her bedroom supplies the other day. Her room is finished, and I'm just sitting here, and basking in the wonderful serenity.
Occasionally Artemis will fall over, but before I go to pick her up, she will attempt to get up herself, its amazing, I think she really wants to learn to crawl. Man, I think this is the first time that it hit me, really big, I want to see Artemis crawl.
Man I'm a mom.

[.:Scrapbook #4:..: Baby:.] Sounds Communication is by far one of the most vital things to human development. Ari, as a linguist and an interpreter knew this more intimately then most. However, having not worked with children in such a field Ari was a little unsure about how Babies developed speaking skills.
Over the period of a few months, Ari had begun to observe Artemis for potential signs of her learning language. Naturally Ari had already started asking Artemis to say her name, or at least "Mom", but not often at all. Ari was afraid she might be rushing things when encouraging Artemis to speak. However, Artemis appeared to be progressing well on her own.
Artemis was already acting much like a one year old, maturing in her basic motor skills and this included speech. She babbled more and more lately, but it wasn't enough for Ari to begin to analyze.
It came to the point where Ari began to record the fact that she recognized repetitive sounds, but unfortunately that was all there really was coming from Artemis, sounds. "Bah loo," seemed to mean Lupus, but pretty much nothing else made any logical sense or held a logical pattern of thought to it.
Ari remained hopeful, but if might be a bit before Artemis actually said her first word.

[.:Journal #4:..: Baby:.] Sounds It came to me...Artemis's sounds are starting to hold patterns. She is begining to gradually try to communicate via repeitive combinations of her usual babblings.
I think this might be the first sign of Future communication. Talking. Oh my I'm so giddly just thinking about it! I wonder what her first word will be...what language? I hope I have not confused her by using multiple languages around her...
Well at least I know there is an equal chance of her speaking english as Japanese, seeing as those are the two languages I happen to speak the most.
Either way there is a space in my Journal JUST for her first word. It its all decorated and ready.
I guess I should start encouraging the use of words with her more... I bet asking simple questions with the word provided will help....Hmm...
I will need to think up questions. Certainly I do not wish her first words to be yes no Hai or Iie, so those kinds of questions must be avoided....
I will continue to ponder, but Artemis wants to be picked up now...
