Latiht was grateful to escape from the chilly weather outside, and she ducked into the inn like she had a demon on her tail. Breathing a sigh of relief once the door had been safely closed, La shook the dust of the road off her cloak and set about waving her head around in unusual patterns in an attempt to get the kinks out of her neck. She looked uncannily like an insane chicken, but this did not seem to bother the elven woman in the slightest. Making her way across the floor to the bar quickly, she plopped down into a seat heavily, propped her feet up on the nearest stool, and looked around.

"Hmph. Ugly, small, dirty, and incompotent!" She said loudly. Several of the patrons looked up from their druken stupors to glare at her angrily or stare at her blankly. La didn't appear to notice them in the least, and a large smile spread over her face. "It's absolutely perfect! I adore it already. BARKEEP! Yeah, you, with the face. One ale please, large size. Thank you." Smirking gleefully, La took stock of the elf sitting nearby. She was pretty, but obviously shy. That would never do. Leaning over precariously, she reached out and poked at the woman.

Turned to face this new stranger woundering y she is pokeing her. "Hello cand i help u with somthing?" Sortha said in a kinde voice. Hopeing that she would stop pokeing her.

Hitori cleared his throat politely and extended his hand to Sortha. "It was nice meeting you. Now I must put him to bed, but I'll be down in a minute if you like." He gave La a playful smile, as if to say, 'I had her attention first and you interrupted. Wait a moment!'

The little boy peeked out from behind Hitori. He seemed to like Sortha and La, now that he knew what they were.

La raised an eyebrow, and flicked her fingers against Sortha's closest ear. "Y'seem Elvish enough to me, pretty girl. How is it that someone with a name doesn't know it, and is an elf but doesn't think it? You're an odd one."

"Yes i am odd. I never knew my perents and the only person i ever lived with did not know my name. She found me and i lived with her for only 2 years. She is the one who called me sortha but it is not my birth name and i will never know my birth name if i ever got one. Also i am not an elf im a......" she stoped talking and looked down at her glass.

(sorry it took so long to talk i have been doing lots of stuff all day lol)

looks up from her glass at the bartender. "may i plz get a room and some more shake?" sortha said in a kind voice.

(A barkeep IS a bartender. I was applyig for that job only I used a different word...we call them bartenders now because they only tend the bar...a barkeeper was generally incharge of the whole tavern ie rooms(rent), staff(barmaids), entertainment(bard preformances and stuff), drinks(making them and ordering them) and a host of other stuff. Bartenders nowaday only make the drinks. The stereotypical innkeeper of fantasy doesnt higher a seperate bartender at least not in my experience.)
((edit: I like it up on Dictionary.com and its descriptions were different in that a barkeep OWNS and operates while the bartender only mixes...))
