I suggest you wait the full six weeks after delivery and have your doctor do the 6 week check up and ask the doctor. Then if you feel like it and can find the time take it slow and easy listen to your body and warn him you might have to call the intercourse off... but then again thereare alternatives to intercourse. I was suppost to have 6 months of bed rest and no intercourse... but my husband and I still had a healthy sex life.

Kawaii_Hime_Ceres sweatdrop boy you guys make it sound easy. anya is two now, and i still have issues with it hurting me. we have to break out the lube, just so i don't cringe. and it doesn't mater how in the mood i am... gonk Have you asked your doctor about this? You might have something going on. When I first got married I could not have sex at all without pain. I was a doofus and didn't realize it wasn't supposed to hurt after the first time redface . It turn out I had a whole mess of problems I didn't know about. Any who I know how miserable it can be when you are unable to enjoy sex. I would strongly suggest asking about it.

This is a topic I have been discussing with my girl friends of late as I am getting closer and closer to my due date. It seems to varry, thoes who have been through invasive births seem to say it hurts ALOT but my friends who have had natural birth with no complications say things sting a bit but once your going it's not so bad as other feelings compensate, we had a good old giggle at that xd I intend to use alot of lubricant !!

Mmm, I had two tears that both developed "nuggets" of scar tissue - sex didn't hurt, so long as we didn't put any pressure on those stupid scars.
Now that it's 7 months after, the scar tissue is all soft and doesn't hurt at all any more.
I think it took me a good 8 weeks after the birth before my 2 tears felt up to the assault of having intercourse. By 4 months, it only hurt from one certain angle. By 6, no hurting at all.
^_^
Also, I too have found that orgasms from penetration are much easier after childbirth. I actually ususally have multiples now. eek heart
