My first anime was Sailor Moon or Tenchi Muyo (i started watching them about the same time).

My first was My Neighbor Totoro ^_^ I saw it when I was like 3 and became really obbessed with it. It wasn't until years later that I really learned what anime was though.

my first anime was def the original gundam, but i remember not being that interested in it unill after i had watched anothe anime movie..... can't remember much of that one, much less the name, but it had a kick a$$ chick in a pancho trying to kill this alien with a small extendable head..... go figure lol....
oh and as for the poll i had to pick mushroom... sorry i'm a vegitarian

Mine was akira, i thought it was the coolest thing ever. I went onto guyver,tank police and now ive seen to many to list. Its expensive though because i like to buy them all on dvd crying

I remember when I was six I watched the world premier (un-edited!) of Akira on Sci-Fi channel with my brothers. And the funny thing is...my parents let us watch it! rofl The only part that scared me was when the psychic kids turned into the giant stuffed bear, rabbit, and truck and milk was oozing out of them, man that part is still freaky.

My very very very first anime would probably be Sailor Moon, but I never actually paid attention until I got hooked on Tenchi Myuo or DBZ.
And yeah, those are probably eveyone's first 'cause they were all popular around the time and age we could generally comprehend things like hugely built guys growing blonde hair and getting blue eyes. >.>
