Well, since we have most people agreeing that there should be some more advertizing of the guild, I guess we'll do it.
Since Omni isn't around right now, either to create the thread (or veto it twisted ) it's up to us.
Lets discuss how we should promote the guild, what we should say, and shouldn't say. Also, if some one can start thinking of a rewrite for the Guild home page that would be awesome. It's looking a little out dated, and I know Omni just doesn't always have the time for that kind of stuff. If we just make something, we can give it to him to post there.
I'm thinking we should post the advertizing thread with the Guild Mule.

I have the link stored somewhere to the original advertisement thread that is in the chatterbox. I can't remember who started it but they were in the guild before I was and haven't seen them in over a year though. Our homepage is pretty simple, what changes could be made or what could be added?

@Zathura: Homepage needs some explosions, more helicopters, and maybe a train chase. (I actually saw a movie with a train chase [as in different trains, not people chasing eachother on one train] once, it ruled! surprised )

You know what I think would be pretty nice, is if we have a tiny bio of our active members. People could either write a paragraph about themselves or sone one else can, and we can post that in the promotional thread. That way people won't feel like they are intruding on a clique of friends that have know each other since the guild began (pratically). We would have to be careful not to leave anyone out, we do actually have quite a few semi active members, and they are too easily forgotten at times. 3nodding
I think we should be gearing the guild towards "friend making", if that doesn't sound too cheezy. "We are a discussion guild with a poll rule" isn't every catchy.

Zathura Even Cannibalistic Spork disliked the name xd and there's another name I have not heard in such a long time... I suppose he has moved on as well...? for that matter, I can't remember what he changed his screen name too, if he actually did... I thought he did...

He may have. As far as I know he quit Gaia completely, other than that I don't know.

I like that idea for the promotional thread, but it'll have to be done so that it does seem like a friendly introduction, and not an elitist roll call. And I think labeling it as a 'friend making' poll guild would work well, but then again, I probably have less of a sense for what's cheesey than you do. Also, maybe we could do wtiteups for eachother, rather than each person for themselves. Could be more interesting that way, eh?

I think it would be neat if people started an "interview" topic for themselves in the games subforum. If you're bored you can make a topic and then people ask you questions so you have stuff to do.

I do think it would be best if other people wrote write up for each other. 3nodding And a little mock interview would be a hilarious add on. I think it would be a great way to introduce new people to the guild

Wow that sounds so cool!
I would love to do write up's on someone, however, I am starting my vaca Fri (maybe tomorrow even!) and won't return until...June 4th I think?
