AshWufei Varith 1-5 with my index on 1 and middle on 5.
I don't use my Pinkie. I really hope you mean your ring on five, because if not you have either a) some big a** hands or b) some funky a** hands eek Couldnt resist a good LOL

Haven't look lately, but I have extra-jumbo frets, and I reached about 5-12 and 1-5 I'm pretty sure. ^.^

I find it rather unimportant.
All I know is that in any given position I can play at least 5 notes comfortably. If you're playing things like
E-1-6-7
or whatever you should probably try out your other strings.

On "fender scale" i can reach 5-13, but only if I really stretch, from 1st fret I'm comfortable with 1-7, but that's also as far as I can reach.
(yeah, I've got pretty big hands...)

I have really small hands. I can only for 4-6 at the max and I've been playing for 4 years now. sweatdrop

AshWufei Youve also got to take into account the scale of your guitar. Gibson scaled guitars will allow you to reach about a fret farther. On my Tele I can reach from 5 to 11 and still play fairly fluidly. I can hit 12 if i really stretch. really? i wish i could do that.... my bass guitar is a first act and it doesnt rlly allow me to do that kind of stuff..... my acoustic is sumthing that i m not sure of right now.... it doesnt say n e thing on the top so i am not sure what it is

On my Kona accoustic, I can stretch 1-6 or 5-13...yeah...big hands...
