Kia127 DemonNick Kia127 DemonNick He is not the incarnation, merely it's spokesman. His spokesmen, so he tempts us to dive into the economy and embrace its devil? More than that, he tells us to abandon the word of Mod in the pursuit of gold. eek gonk But..does he not realize that there is no use of the gold if there is no love and joy of Mod? We'd be overrun, faithless, alone, with only our money to comfort us...I..I..I pity him... sad It is right to pity him, he would have us Modless and alone, forums overflowing with spam. And he believes that that would be BETTER

Without much fanfare, Kiji slides into the Wednesday-School house and overhears the end of the current conversation. Her brow furrows slightly and she steps closer. It is possible that he is happy in his current plight. As foreign as this concept is to us, our light may be exactly what he doesn't want. He seeks just as eagerly to convert US to his point of view...which leads me to believe that our attempts to show him the joy of our way of life will have little to no effect on his tortured soul.

Is it bad to want to ask the Devil his opinion in person?

No, it's best to do it that day. We can evoke him with a private message.
There are utterances that he can be found occasionally in the churchyard...

as they spoke he walked down the colums of tables, leaving copies of the Book of Nora on each table, opening them each to the page they would be concerned with come wednesday. He grins, spreading the word of Mod is what he lives for, albiet via less violent means than others. He notices the Saint "Eep! St. Linn, this place, I'm sorry it's such a mess, uh..." he scampered about, cleaning things up and erasing the chalkboard where he'd been playing nim.

Relax, Nick. I've seen worse messes in the closet in the office after Eternitian's been around for a few days. I just thought I'd stop by and see how things were going and how you're settling in. What's your plan for Wednesday? I only caught the very end of the conversation as I came in.

"Today's lesson is Nora 1:1, offered as a book of laws for the extended discussion forums. This is an informal setting to ask questions about this book in particular." on each of the desks, a copy of the book is laid outNoraboo Update #3: July 13thUnless your thread is novel or has not been recently made, consists of more than a single line or two and a question and actually has some effort put into it, can generate extended discussion, or has additional merit it will be moved out of ED.
Rules of thumb: ED is not google, ED is not an advice column, ED is not for Public Service Annoucements. If your thread takes less than 10 minutes to make, it does not go in ED. If your reply is a one line, it had better be damn clever and spot on. Moved threads will go into either main GD, the life issues forum, where threads with questions, advice seeking, personal problems, or the like go, or the recycle bin if it has been often repeated. Do not make pointless rant threads. If your rant has a point to be discussed, good. Otherwise, go here. ED is not meant to be exclusively for very serious, deep topics, light hearted threads and humor are allowed, but they must have merit. They must be discussable, have content, and have had some effort put into making them or result in extended discussion, or they will be moved out. Exceptions can be made by moderators on a case by case basis for threads with other merit. I will be going through ED page by page tonight to purge it. Please report all threads of this nature to ED moderators so that we can move them. Thank you. Noraboo. ................. Update #2Hi everyone, Just so you know, we've made a new subforum in General Discussion, Life Issues. This forum is a place for you to go to discuss personal issues and seek advice, as well as to offer advice and a helping hand other users, and to discuss in as much or as little depth as you would like. From now on, all advice asking threads made in ED will be moved to this forum. Thanks! Noraboo ...... Update #1I've noticed another issue that's come up in ED recently that I think needs to be clarified.
ANYONE can (and should!) PM a Mod to move a thread or deal with a problem.
However only Moderators can move threads.
Examples of problem posts:Quote: Where's {so and so} to report this thread? Quote: I'll PM (someone not a mod) to move this thread This is unacceptable. As for the first, if you take the time to post something like that, you should be taking the time to PM a MOD.
Posts such as these will be treated as spam.
Anyone found posting something to this effect will be warned. Subsequent warnings will incur bans.
As for the second, only moderators can move threads. Please do not PM someone else, because they will just have to PM a mod to have it done.
If you are intentionally giving people the impression that you are a moderator or that you have moderator like abilities in any way, you will be permanately banned for mod impersonation as per the TOS.
It may be nice to feel special or to feel like you have the power to change ED. And you do, absolutely, but only by PMing mods to move threads and obeying the rules of this forum.
Not by posting in threads intimidating people and telling people to stop posting, thereby deciding that a thread is not appropriate (something only moderators can do). Say the thread is for GD. People ARE then still allowed to post in it and reply to it! It will just be moved to GD at some point. By spamming it up yelling at people to stop posting, you're making more work for the mod who winds up moving it, as they will have to delete all your spammy garbage.
Not by giving users the impression that you are moderators. These are counter productive behaviors that are actually reducing the number of problems reported.
These are not acceptable behaviors. You are all users and all equal and you all have an equal responsiblity to contact moderators if you stumble across a problem. Do not rely on others to do this, it is no more their job than yours, and remember that only moderators have the authority to decide where threads go and to move them accordingly.
Report people who violate this to moderators.......... Original Post!: Moved to Main ED Rules Annoucement "Now, before we begin, are there any specific questions, either about Wednesday School, or this text?"

Romuel Right here, honeycake. smile What are your thoughts on the book quoted above? Personally, I think that it's a codified set of laws, meant to supliment the TOS, but based on what many people do, and get away with, it might be more of a set of guidelines.

Runs into the schoolhouse at full bore, out of breath and panicked.
Oh jeeze...I totally forgot today was Wedensday! I'm sorry sir!
Bows respectfully and looks over the passages from the Book of Noraboo.
I'd say it's an area specific set of sublaws, to be added to the TOS for the specific region we live in. Supplementary, as you said, sir. Not to be taken above or below, but rather with the Holy TOS itself, for the proper conduct of ourselves in and about the ED forums. It needs to be followed, for what kind of Moddists would we be if we didn't listen to the Mods?
