Also, should we have the mod just use to first page Ibun made?
Or let them just do whatever.

i'm still agaist this, but there's nothing anyone can do about it. our can of spam isn't as full as before in the old thread. yes. we are much much nicer from what i've seen and or taken part of.
but what will a mod created thread do? i mean.. what will it improve?
but, i say... as long as i've got somewhere to go to talk about Green Day
then i'm good. even if i don't agree with most of this....
you can't change somethings unless they want to be changed. and already down with out 2nd thread. having a green day regular being the creator makes me feel better.... or just having someone who likes and nows stuff about green day.... is there a mod that is that way?
i don't know, but whatever makes this whole thing come to an end.
memories die into the recycle bin, once again.....

AlienX Ever since we started the new thread, I know that I've seen people be a lot nicer to those who state thier love for BoBD or American Idiot. More often that not, people ask them questions about thier favorite CD or any live performances they may have seen instead of screaming at them about being true fans. There are exceptions to that, but I don't think we're ever going to eliminate all of that. 'Tis sad, but true. However, I don't think that a mod watching over us is going to help us. Like I said previously, one of the reasons that we re-created the thread was so that we could have an active regular control the first post. I really like the idea of us fans owning the thread and making it our own. Methinks that the ever-watchful eye of a moderator would ruin the whole atmosphere of our lovely thread, and I don't want see that happen. I do see what you are saying, but I still really don't like the prospect of a mod-operated thread. I agree 100%. I came at the very end of the unofficial thread...And we are SOOOOOOOOOO much better. We have barely any spam. Well I suppose it depends what you consider spam. The thread topic: Green Day. NOT just their music. So I see anything related to Green Day is acceptable. This is an "anime role-playing" community. So the mention of those (or the activity) isn't completely out either, in my opinion. Sure, maybe put the role-playing in the guild, so someone doesn't come in and not understand. Make a specific thread for that - fine. But I agree that it should be fan-made, not mod-made. I don't see ANY reason the mods should have a beef with our thread. It's okay to go off on a little tangent every once in a while, especially for the regulars. I've said this MANY times - but we're all obsessed here...you can just mention ANYTHING and we can ramble on and on about it, even if we have like 30 times before. Like how we think "Boulevard Of Broken Dreams" is getting annoying and overplayed. We've discussed American Idiot so many times...oi. We are really nice to all the n00bs. Yes, even the n00bs, not just the newbies. We ignore the n00bs at first if they're not obeying the rules...we point out their problem sometimes. If they stick around and are still being annoying, we'll try to get them on some topic other than "OMG BOBD IS THE GREATST SONG EVVAR!!!!!1!!1" or "BILLY JOE IS SO FREAKING HOT! heart " Usually those are n00bs posting spam like that. Posts like that have no point. Why punish the regulars for the little amount of spam that we can't rid ourselves of anyway? We just MADE a new thread, we don't need ANOTHER one, especially since this one is working SOOOO WELL!! I also agree that having a mod make the thread would change NOTHING except probably have them lurking on the thread and yelling at us and pissing us off...when we're not really doing anything wrong in the first place. For the regulars, the thread is a place to hang out with their internet friends and talk about Green Day obsessively, the little things that no one else gets. The things your friends will get annoyed at you because of. All it takes is one comment to get us back to a more friendly topic for even the very casual fans. Why should we make a new thread? What would it accomplish? NOTHING. Annoying us. That's all.

animepunkie4ever absolutely agreed. I just don't see why a mod has to redo it. After reading the whole thread made by Mistress Kill (that you locked, Zodokai scream xp ), I stand against this crap. The one we have now is perfectly fine.
But I still will probably be posting in the new one, just because I like talking with you guys about the greatest band ever. Maybe we all should just go off somewhere else and make our own forum. Who needs Gaia? Eh, but I like Gaia...

She felt that it was creating a rift in our beloved community, and she wanted to stop it before it got out of hand. However, we all had more on our minds, so this new thread was created. I do want to that Zodokai for now locking this just yet. Although by now it this somewhat a moot point as we can't change anything, I still like having the open discussion. And as for posting on the new thread, I've even stopped posting in the current thread. That isn't my form of rebelling or anything like that, it's just that I don't seem to get the same joy of hanging out in there as I used to. I feel afraid to post something that may be considered off-topic that triggers some massive debate over what we can and can't say in the Official Thread. While that saddens me a bit, I've realized that I can post in the guild where things are less sensitive to argument and still talk to my friends. Ah well. I'm not sure if there was a opint to be made there or not. I just wanted to say that if things keep going the way they are, we may end up repelling people. That was the problem with the last thread also, except we were repelling the new fans. Now I fear we may lose some of the old ones due to the stone-set rules. I do hope that this is just me beeing crazy and not a reality. *sigh* I'm going to wrap this up now simply becuase it's starting to get a bit lengthy. I apologize for that. I've never been good with conclusions, so I believe I'm just going to stop before I say something stupid xp

Having a mod make a new thread kind of ruins the friendly atmosphere...yes. Exactly what Zodokai said. Sometimes I don't even post in the Official Thread because if I post something off-topic for once, oooo...I'm in trouble..and I get bitched at. I still stand with the fact that it's better for a fan to remake a thread, not just some mod who isn't an obsessed Green Day fan.
The spam has decreased a lot, and we regs are trying to be nice to newbies coming into the thread. gonk I remebered the time I was a bit harsh on a newbie in the old official thread...but hey. I think everything is fine in this official thread. I see no need for a new one.
And yes. There's spam in every topic. You can't just PREVENT it from happening, but it has decreased greatly. What more do they want?
