Dark_Star_Soul14 ... Have you SEEN some of the uniforms that some cadets are walking around in?! scream Its a embarassment to the Corps...Back to the PT testing. Its SUPPOSED to be standerized throughout the Nation, but again..this is the NSCC[RCACS in canada for royal canadian air cadet squadron] we are talking about. It will take forever and a day to establish things or even regulate it. So im not too sure. I know my unit follows the requirements for both male and female, and it isnt too hard. My grandmother could pass the female standered. i decided to take some excerpts from what dark_star_soul14 above said and well, nothing is different in canada. dress and decor are low and it makes me want to vomit. cadets are not shining boots properly anymore looking for 'alternative' ways like 'banana peels' or 'burning' or going to the local base and getting them to paint ur boots when their using their black shiny paint. ALL IDIOTIC. to proove that you can make the boots shiny with just using spit and kiwi show polish i made a rock shiny as all hell. it now sits in the office of my squadron and when a cadet says "i can't" i grab my rock and tell them they can. as for PT regulations there next to none here for that. or at least in my squadron there isn't but i am changing that. it's crap how there isn't enough of it. BUT i do get to take command of our iron cadets (super hard survival weekend with next to no sleep, it's hell) and i make them run, sneek, drill everything till arround 4am. i make the eat the wrost rations we have COLD and when they finaly finish making their shelter and snuggle up to go to bed i was 1-3 hours and wake the bastards up, get then to take their shelters down and we RUN... it's great for the cadets, they learn how to work as a unit instead of a bunch of idiots stuck together and it gives me my revenge on their poor uniforms... hehehe twisted

As a PO2 I have to encourage my cadets to work at making their boots and overall uniform good, but they always find excuses and don't do their gunshirts because "they didn't have any starch" or "the iron broke". My advise, do it the week before! then, tune it up as you go! A lot of my cadets also have stuff against me for some reason, I really need to work on my leadership skills.

Ive had the blessing of being a good leader..though it took me forever to get that way. *Shines her CPO rank* Took forever and a day..but it was worth it.
Crappy uniforms hack me off. Along with poor military bearing, and poor judgement. Thats why I was such a b***h this past drill..I think the do it to get on me. I really do.
If you have a chance to go to MAA training. Do it. Best 2 weeks ever.

Well, I'm a Army Cadet with a sucky battalion. Seriously. I was in PT one morning, we had to run the Mile. Well, you know not to eat breakfast, right? Someone ran in the middle of a Field, and threw up.-.-
I tried to warn them, and they are of a Higher rank than I.*Sigh*
And someone else passed out, RIGHT on the Mile Mark, and they had to drag him to the bleachers. I found it quite pathetic.

I LOVE my unit, we are all able to crush the PT our uniforms are in top shape, we find so much pride in just showing off, I'm so sorry guys I really am... OH OH OH we had 4 of our cadets stand behind the Pres. During a speach at the USNA, what's funny is that out unit was asked, not the one based in annapolis because of how good we were at Arlington. I feel so bad for you guys.

Don't. My unit is one of the best in the state now that we are out of the dark ages. (PM me if you want to know.) Im extremely proud of them. Especially since their uniforms are in tip top shape. Now its just to get them to wear/have their ID cards in the proper place. It took me a few drills and weeks but it was worth it.

Pull him aside and talk to him on a professional basis. Sometimes that helps. Make sure your behind a desk and have bullets of what you want to say to him.

Like..look very professional when you guys are doing it, and have it typed out what you want to say to him or what you guys need to talk about. Make sure its on a very professional basis, and let him know that although your his friend, he needs to shape up.

Hi I am a Airforce Cadet. I've been a cadet for about 3 months now I think. Had PFT this past thursday. It was really cold >< and we had a lot of wind. Got a 88 on it though so I'm happy. 3nodding I think I can improve though.
