Staring at the tal being she shuddered lightly, she had no clue what or who it was. Edging closer she saw him dash off, and her eyes grew wide witth fury and pain. LEaping after them she saw how fast the being ran. Was he a god of speed? Snarlign her little paws couldn't catch up to him as she let out a crackled growl and kept trying to follow. Her eyes were wide and frantic as the ears were flicked foward. OH how her Ma would scowl at her for losing her brother, why was she bad at being the older sister? Lifting her muzzle, Ma'isah sniffed the air and tried to track the scent but there were to many others of his kind. Where was she? She was lost.

Ears flicked at the little one's words. It could speak and Yaten could understand everything it was saying! Tilting his head slightly, he was at a loss of words before they just tumbled out of him, "I, uh, am looking at you, of course." What was he? What kind of question was that...didn't lions teach their cubs about other species other than their own? Obviously not by this green cub's question. A snort escaped the black cheetah as he replied, "You, Cub, don't know what I am? How sad...I am a cheetah." Then, he could hear the yowling of the female cub not too far off and cringed. She'd call attention to them and he'd get the full brunt of two unhappy parents. Not wanting that, he told the green cub to stay still as he went back for the female cub. In a quick motion, he picked her up and brought her back to her brother.
Siltim narrowed his eyes at this "lion" who called himself a cheetah. Just what in the world was a cheetah anyway?! As he was told to stay put, he let out a big huff of air and plopped his bottom down on the log waiting for the black "cheetah-lion" to return with his sister.

Looking about she felt nervous, oh how this would not end good. Her mind was jumbled with taunting images playing in her mind of her mother and father gazing at her in horror. OUt of the blue, she felt a aw around her neck. Reacting in show, she swung her paw in the air above the being and her teeth were exposed. But then Ma'isah noticed it was the black...what do you call it? Keeping quiet she allowed to be carried off knwoign she would be with her brother.

With the light green cub in his mouth, Yaten made his way over towards the other cub and dropped her on the log. Brown eyes gazed at both of them, noting some similarities and some differences between the two in coloring. His tail flicked lightly as his lean body stood tall. "Keep quiet, you don't want to attract the attention of unwanted guests, no do you Cub?" The last thing he needed was a pack of hyenas or vultures coming after him thinking he caught a meal.
He saw his sister in the "cheetah-lion's" mouth and stood up on the log. In a tiny squeak that made his words come out quickly, "Ma'isah, this lion claims he is a cheetah and I don't know where we are!" A bit excited, he took a closer look at their surroundings and noticed that the grass was a bit thinner and yellowish color, not the plush green that he had gotten used to. Turning to the "cheetah-lion", "What is your name? Where are we? What do you want with us?"

Her thoughts led to the safety of her brother, shuddering she realized she began to think like her mother. Shaking her head she shoved the thought back and allowed to be dropped on the wooden log. Taking in a breath, Ma'isah's eyes were on her brother as he spoke. He seemed thrilled and she did not want to ruin his excitement. "A lion that is a cheetah, a claim I have never heard." She said and gazed at the black being. Turning to her brother she grinned at him and nodded her head t the questions. "Yes, where are we and who are you?"

His tail flicked slightly as Yaten replied to each question smoothly. "We're somewhere farther away from where you originally were. I am known as Yaten and I am not a lion, but a cheetah." He snorted slightly as the cubs didn't understand the concept yet that he wasn't like them. "Haven't you noticed that I look nothing like you?"
Glancing down towards the ground, Siltim leapt to the grassy floor before landing awkwardly. He shook the dust off of his fur before he looked up at the cheetah and realized just how much bigger it was than him. "Yahteen?" He tried to pronounce the name, "I'm Siltim!" He crouched to the ground and pounced happily on nothing, "You mean we are in the grasslands?" If they were far away from their parents, this could be good! He could finally go and explore wherever he wanted to.

Listening to Yaen speak, Ma'isah's eyes widened. The grasslands. She dreamt of this place ever since she heard the lionesses speaking of it to her mother. Looking to the cheetah she snickered and bowed in a polite manner. "I am Ma'isah. And you see my lovely brother Siltim." She lookd to him and giggled as he jumped and the dust surrounded him. The green eyes stared about the lan and her heart thrummed.

Watching the little green cub closely, didn't their parents teach them anything? Shaking his head softly, he put his paw on the cub's tail to keep him from wandering off. "Siltim, before you go and get lost, you need to understand what you're getting into." Yaten lowered his head slightly so that he could look at the cub closely. "There are hyenas out here and rogue lions that would love to harm you. Make sure to keep your eyes peeled." And with that, he pushed the cub towards the open lands to go and explore. The cheetah was more than willing to watch this little green cub. Turning to Ma'isah, "Come Ma'isah, I don't think you'd want to be left behind!"
A pout was starting to make it's way on to Siltim's features as he was prevented from having fun. Lime green eyes were downcast as he listened to the speech that his parents gave him too. They always talked about the dangers and so did Yaten, but something surprised him. He felt a push in the direction of the open grasslands! The cheetah was encouraging him to go and explore! Forgetting all about being kidnapped by the cheetah, he bound off running with a yowl of happiness.

Bounding off she followedTaen's instructions and chased after her brother, catching up to him she pouned on his and giggled her little small laughter she always seemed to have. "Got'cha." Her eyes were bright as the sun shine brightly over them, her eyes seemed brighter then ever, It was fun to do as they wished without being told what exactly to do in order to survivie. A bit of freedom.
