To Tibuka's response, Mabozi simply shrugged, what a trooper his nanny was! Bozi smiled in a proud fashion, his eyes looking all squinty from beneath his grin. He gazed up Tibuka for a few more minutes as they trotted along until something else caught his attention. The scenery around them was changing. It wasn't as grey and dreary as the inner Graveyard. Out here, the sky began to lighten up, become less hazy from the dust. The ground was changing from a dark grey to a brownish grey. There seemed to be more life in the outskirts than in the inner workings of the yard.

"Weird... Dunnot tha' think?"

Mabozi increased his pace, now quickly trotting along Tibuka's side. All this was new to him, and he wasn't too sure about wandering off just yet.

"Not weird if ya been out there once or twice. Get used to it, there isn't much to hunt in there. "

It was rare to find anything in here; this place was used by elephants, and they didn't die all the time, and they didn't always die here. Likely, whatever gave the elephant graveyard such a gloomy, deadly appearance was generations of elephants coming to die, and hyenas(Or lions) bringing their kills in. Elephants lived long, unfortunatly, and to find one in here was very rare, the skin was hard, but the meat itself was rather good.

The scenery was starting to become more grassy and less bony, and a tiny, brave tree was reaching his shoulder height, a sign of life admist all that of death.

"Here. "

The thing that allowed the tree to live wasen't more than two large paces away, a rather small pond, or small comparing to many others, was likely half the size, or less, of a grown elephant. The water wasen't muddy, though, it was rarely used, so the dirt had all descended and it was quite clear. No crocodile or snake would have tried living here, nothing to eat, fish probably found the same idea, and only frogs could be found here, sense the amount of rotting flesh called to the flies, wich led to them.

Dropping his rabbit at the edge, the hyena male sticks a paw in, taking it out soon, obviously displeased at the temperature, wich was rather cold.

"Dammit. "

Grumbling to himself, he jumps in, it wasen't deep, and the middle, the only not see-through part, only reached his shoulders, so he waddled through the cold water there, shaking his body to have the water clean him faster, and to warm up.

Mabozi trotted obediantly after Tibuka, but after a few moments of this walking; he zoned the older male out completely. The change in the scenery was much too distracting. It's not that Mabozi didn't want to pay attention to his elders, it's just that he couldn't. Not with the useless activity in his brain.

Sighing as he walked, Mabozi's wide, green eyes surveyed the stubby grass peek out from beneath the soil. Grass was amazing, that was for sure. He had never seen anything like it. And he loved it. The pup was about to pounce on some blades of the dry grass when Tibuka stopped at a small pond. The shining water immediately caught Mabozi's attention. A whole entire pool of water!

"WOOOAAAAH AUN'IE, ES AMA'IN!"

With a shake of excitement, Mabozi charged for the shore of the pond, ready to lunge in, but at the last moment he skid to a stop, remembering he couldn't swim. Hell, he didn't know what swimming was. Mabozi pouted, his eyes growing glassy and sad, and looking to Tibuka for some advice.

He coulden't understand a word Mabozi said now. He peered at the pup, waching it bolt towards the water, but stop. He shrugged, and sunk his whole body into the water, shaking and creating uite a few bubbled before popping up, seeing the pup was looking at him.

He could guess what he anted. "You can stay in the shallows. " The male muttered, now feeling the water wasen't cold anymore, now that his body had gotten used to it. "Its cold, though. "

He sat in the pond, water up to his chest, all of the blood washed off by now.

Mabozi's tail wagged, making his whole body shake, as Tibuka mentioned going in the water. So he wouldn't die if he couldn't swim!

"HOKAY!"

Enthusiastically, Mabozi hopped into the water, splashing up to his elbows before letting out a piercing shriek of rather epic proportions. This water was freezing! With a stirr of motion, Mabozi lurched for the shore, only to fall over and into the water, snout first. For a while, he thought he was drowning, so he flailed about wildly, his butt in the air and feet firmly on the ground; but nose in the water. After a few moments, his more rational brain kicked in and he picked his head up, realizing that he really wasn't drowning. Good save. After sloshing out of the pond, Mabozi turned, his fur sopping wet, and looked sadly to Tibuka,

"Aun'ie, 'm cole, an' we', an' sad, ca' we go home?"

The hyena can barely hide his amusement, lifting up and walking out of the water, shaking himself dry then looking at his burden. "You get wet if you get in the water. " He said as if it were no big deal, finding it hard to hide his sheer amusement, and keep himself from laughing.

He picked up his rabbit, looking down at Mabozi. "Le' go den. " He said, muffled by the rabbit. Then he trotted back from the way they had come, now clean.

His eyes still all teared up and glazed over, Mabozi sniffled lightly. He nodded at Tibuka's comment, he'd learned his lesson, water was not a place he'd tread too soon. He looked away quickly though, saddened by this thought. But, as in his character, Mabozi quickly perked up as he heard Tibuka announce that they were to leave.

"'OOORAH!"

The juvinille beamed at the elder with a big, pearly grin and lept after him, extatic to be returning home.
