I have added more character creation info to the Play and Character Sheets threads' opening posts. Campaign background is in the works.

hehe I don't really know anything about OA, I was just looking through the book, and it caught my eye, as I wanted to play kinda...Musashi style. Two handed (Katana and Wakazashi), and a little unarmed when I needed to...throw a kick out there...stuff like that. I wanted to be a Samurai if I played, and a Human cuz there's less for me to get used to that way. And the way I was thinking about playing, Dragon seemed best. I wasn't going to go to the prestige class page, cuz I have to learn like...everything about OA, I don't usually bother with prestige classes till I have a better grasp of what I'm doing.

Musashi style, eh? How about a dual-class Monk/Ranger from the Crab or Phoenix? (or clanless)

because that's getting complicated heh. I figured if I was going to do anything with OA, I was going to do something simple. Single class, no prestiege, and a race I know.

I don't know if I would count a Samurai from a house of master Monks as a simple character. Seems like a clanless fighter, monk or ranger would be simple.

hehe I was trying to scan the book, so I could get a character made before you start. I mean, I want to play something that I can't play in any campaign, I want to play something OA specific. But I don't want to get too complicated. I've never been one for multiclassing really anyways. Never done it actually...we don't play enough of any given campaign to make it worth it.

Well, with only two other people interested so far, I don't think you need to hurry 3nodding

yeah. I can see what other people do. I like the daisho though, that's kinda what made me want to go with Samurai. And then I got an idea in my head, and so I wanted to go with it without having to worry about multiclassing and such. I'll see what everyone else does, then so long as we don't get a bunch of the same type classes, I might go it anyways. Like he said, we could always be brothers or something.

Ah, thanks, I should really edit that to say he's done in my previous post. I got the name from this site The site is a great place for translations of words into Japanese for names. (My character's name means 'green bamboo' by the way. 3nodding )

Hehe, I'll just try to remember my time in Japanese class in High School if I make a character. Or just use a nice common name like Takeshi, or Wantanabe.
