0dog_boy0 Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Battle, and Sonic Shuffle. Mario Party is on its 6th run already...I mean, you've got to know when it ENDS already. If you want to play a board game, GET OUT YAHTZEE. But Shuffle has Kickass Minigames....not to mention a really sweet looking Cellshaded graphic style. Yeah I heart all three of those, too. MAN, why are you so similar to me??? For some reason, a lot of people said they didn't like Sonic Shuffle or the mini-games, etc. etc. And people seem to not liek the Shadow's gun concept. yet we both seem open to all the ideas. I'll have to play you in Sonic Shuffle Someday...

I agree with the Mario Party thing. Sonic Shuffle was fun just not my fav game (too slow, lol). For me, my favorite Sonic game (and game I consider to be the best of all time) is Sonic 3 & Knuckles. Here's why: 1. Super form Tails 2. Hyper form Sonic & Knux 3. Massive number of levels 4. Enough glitches and hidden stuff to keep me entertained for a decade 5. Music was (and is) plain awesome
Sonic 2 and Sonic Heroes (as well as Adventure, though I'm getting tired of the "Robo/Eggman is no longer the main baddie" storyline).

I never actually played Shuffle. Since it's now dirt cheap (if you can find it), when I can get my DC working again, I'm tempted to try to pick up a copy out of curiosity.

Well, cosidering I love Sonic Shuffle, if you ever need a spare player, just poke me.
As long as I get to play as Tails anyway = 3
As for my fave game. Toss up between 3&K, Shuffle and SA1
3&K for levels, and Super Tails Shuffle - for fun and games and relaxing SA1 - character, Tails and story

My personal favorite game is Sonic Adventure DX. I find it a lot easier to control characters and there is a lot of replay value.

I'd have to say that my favorite Sonic game is Sonic 3 and Knuckles, though Sonic CD comes in a rather close second. The gameplay in Sonic 3 and Knuckles was extraordinary, and the game itself was humongous. The addition of Hyper Sonic was a nice touch, as well as a Super form for Tails. Those golden Flickies of Death are awesome. biggrin Sonic CD also featured memorable gameplay, and the ability to go forward and backward in time was a nice touch. I'd love to see a port of Sonic CD in the upcoming Sonic Gems Collection.

Mykaeyl I'd have to say that my favorite Sonic game is Sonic 3 and Knuckles, though Sonic CD comes in a rather close second. The gameplay in Sonic 3 and Knuckles was extraordinary, and the game itself was humongous. Same here. I think that S3&K had the edge in overall playability, though. For me, Sonic CD expanded the size of the game, rather than particularly did anything outstanding with the format or the new hardware. If it hadn't had the time travel gimmick, I don't think it would've looked quite so impressive next to a standard Mega Drive/Genesis title. Quote: The addition of Hyper Sonic was a nice touch, as well as a Super form for Tails. Those golden Flickies of Death are awesome. biggrin The only way to play! wink *has 8 Super Tails saves* Quote: Sonic CD also featured memorable gameplay, and the ability to go forward and backward in time was a nice touch. I'd love to see a port of Sonic CD in the upcoming Sonic Gems Collection. Assuming that Sonic Gems isn't as big a red herring as Sonic R 360, likewise. I suppose we'll just have to wait with baited breath for the scheduled E3 announcement.

Sonic 3 and Knuckles, without a doubt. Why? Really very simple. I find the levels far, far better designed than any other 2D action game ever made, let alone any sonic game. In terms of balance, placement, atmosphere, general quality, the unique feel to each level... apart from anything else, it's the only sonic game I've played bar the first with no forgettable or generic levels. Add into that the multiple characters, the alternative difficulties (effectively) and multiple routes, up to and including different final bosses, the superb special stages, the way the levels interlinked convincingly, the simply-told plot that managed to be memorable but not intrusive to the gameplay... The only other action game I've played with the same quality of design is ICO. S3&K doesn't have the sortytelling quality and beauty of that title, but is one of the best designed and balanced games I've ever played. Sonic 1, 2, CD, Adventure and Advance 3 are all also worthy of mention.

Noujou I can't wait to play Sonic Battle. Since Sonic Battle's already out for the GBA, do you mean that, or Sonic: the Fighters (aka Sonic Championship), which is going to be in the new Sonic Gems collection?
