-----+-----%% Hey, I was just wondering... What ever inspired SakkaxAzula shipping> There's not even been an air of romance in the shows... I don't think they've even really had any moments alone... (I'm just wondering...) %%-----+-----

That's an excellent question, and the answer is slightly difficult. Partly it's the Yin-Yang theory that Zutara supports regularly site. They clash on just about everything, but there is something about the way that they're actually quite a bit a like that it's scary.
Azula isn't crazy. She's powerful and calculating. Sokka isn't powerful in the traditional sense, but his sheer determination and talent make up for it. And he calculates. He plots and plans to the group advantage.
If you follow my theory that Azula has been raised as a weapon (see my journal for some evidence on that), it's easy to see that she would need someone fun loving- and stubborn- to teach her what it's like to be human. Sokka is just that kind of person.

my question is
why? why this pairing?
these 2 haven't met really. they have not come face to face or anything. i understand it's freedom to ship whoever you want. that's fine. it's your decision
all this pairing done is confuse the hell out of me
ms. demented crazy woman and where's the food guy

Which is your answer, by the way. Part of the reason I ship them is because they're two of the most interesting characters in the show. Eventually- aka probably tomorrow- I'm going to make a list for people to refer to as to why I ship Sokkla so people can stop asking me stare .

don't get me wrong. i do not doubt in any shape or form that these two are some of the most interesting people compared to some other characters in the show.
yes i admit i was over simplifying Sokka cus there is more to him than just wanting food, but that's all i could have think of at the time. i love Sokka. he's one of my fav characters
as for Azula....that's what she is. i have seen no other side of her on the show so until she brings another side (if she has one)i shall not back down from that point i made about her.

I have not once seen Azula act crazy. Not once. Every move she makes is exact, precise, driven. It's a smooth movement, calculated to do exactly as she wants it to. Crazy is the CFG. Not Azula. No, she's very intellegent. Cruel, perhaps, but not crazy.
As for demented...I'm not sure where everyone is getting that. She has yet to kill anyone. She hasn't torchered them. She hasn't shown herself to be merciless, as yet, if a bit harsh. I'm just not seeing demented.

uh huh. yes she calculating. i do not deny that. hence, why she could convince Zuko to come back home or follow Appa because he was shedding? (as an example) also, you don't have to phyiscally torcher someone to torcher. words can be just as damaging as punching
so let's leave at that and end this conversation. i do not want to continue this cus we obviously have a difference in opinion about Azula and all we are going to do is get angrier and angrier at each other.
so thank you for the intelligent arguement and adieu

Aw, alright. I wasn't getting upset at all, really. I enjoy debating Azula's character. I think it's the funnest thing about being one of her fans.

i see....well in that case i was just going to angrier and angrier sweatdrop it just sounded like you were getting angrier. the fun times of forums. never really knowing if the person is kidding or not.
it is funny, cus you like the character that nobody likes, but that's ok. i have a few characters that nobody likes from different anime (can't remember for the life of me right now) that i like. so yeah i can understand
but did have to stop cus i was going to overly frustrated. better stop before i got too far

Yeah. I probably should learn to use more emoticons or something. Hm...
I do like the character that no one likes. Another one of my strange habits. I'm a writer, so I tend to look at characters in a completly different way than most people I know. It does make for some awkward explaining sweatdrop .
