Well, drummers are mainly guys, and I am starting to have interest in the Quads, so I may become a member of the section...

Now that I think of it, the other two harmony clarinets (one other bass and a contralto) are both guys, and I OWN the section... xd FEMME DOMINANCE IN TEH HARMONY CLARIS!! TEH WEWT!

Yep...I'm the only girl bass clarinet (out of three, mind you) but it's still quite a challenge....but I've also got guys around me...the percussionists are mostly male, the trombones, and the french horns in front of me. So basically I'm the only girl in that whole corner of the band....

My friend and I are the only girl trombones in our hole band and any other band at out school! But we keep the guys in check we both are normally first and second chair! At pre UIL my friend and I got the solos (Baritone parts) while the guys got to play regular parts but we all love each other! Still my friend and I like baggering them!!! HA HA HA *Evil laugh* blaugh

Syllie Same. 0_0 And it's a little tough to be the only girl in a male section...But not all that much, because we're mostly playing things on our instruments...And getting berated, of course.
I am the wench of the section now, and on our trip to disney world, I have been given the duty of cleaning rooms, and doing whatever really. I of course flat out refused, but we'll see what happens. One of them it literally almost seven feet tall...he can be quite intimidating...

Do what I do...Just slap them until they give way. They'll get the point some time...
My section leader used to bug me, then I started smacking his a** as greeting and he didn't like that too much. heart Only do that if you know for sure that they are pussies, though, and wouldn't take it seriously. 0o

Feather Wing Well, drummers are mainly guys, and I am starting to have interest in the Quads, so I may become a member of the section... We only had one girl in the battery this year. I have to be in pit for most of my high school time so I can be pit leader junior and senior year, but I might luck out and get to do something else freshman year. Maybe... And a reminder, yes, I'm only in eighth grade, I wasn't in marching band this year.

Pretty much all of the brass are guys except for two girls: one in French Horn and the other in Euphonium. Besides those two (and Percussion, which is evenly mixed), all of the girls in the band are either flutes, clarinets, or oboes. There is, however, one guy clarinet. He says he wishes he had chosen trumpet, though. xD

Quads rock Feather. Go for it! The only thing I can't do for the life of me in the percission section is Snare. rolleyes I'm so horrible at it. lol There's only one other girl that's in percussion. She's in the pit. My section leader (Pit) Was a chick and I took her steps and followed up in her place. lol My director got us so mixed up because we were so much alike. It's awesome being the only chick. Bad thing is that we have to ride on the color gaurd bus. I hate that bus. . . stare
