((finally someone joins razz yeah Bristy looks good))
PostPosted: Tue May 02, 2006 7:25 pm

((Yeah..I'm getting tired of playing the good guy xd . But, unfortunately..I might be a little scarce for this one today...I have a bunch of things to do and so little time xp ))
Jude stepped out of the shadows of a small warehouse, half of it folded in on itself. It had been his home for the past year, and now, it was time to set the masters plan into action. Evil breeds evil, he'd been told...and now the time was perfect. With so many already dead, his job would be easy. All he had to do, was get rid of the last few who still believed in the righteous..and the rest would proceed as ordained. A fanatic was screaming his head off in the street, driving Jude nuts for the past hour. He was saying something about the coming of the prophet, one who would rule the earth peacefully in it's last days.
Taking a gun out of a side holster, Jude walked up to the man.
"You've got it wrong anyway, Pops."
The gun went off and the man crumpled to the sidewalk. He wasn't one fo teh righteous...just another person tryin' to get a little attention. Well, he'd gotten it allright...and now, Jude could do something about his intense headache.
A bar was open just down the street, one of the few businesses left doing remarkably well.
Jude entered beneath a neon flashing light, smiling.
"Looks like my kind of place." He ordered a beer, setting the money down on the bar surface. His sunglasses remained in place...though they were no impairment to his vision. And he was right..the dive was his sort of place...quite his sort of place.

Ian suddenly fell to his knees and his eyes widended in shock. someone had been killed... but it was that he never saw it comeing that spooked his the most. Most of the time he could feel it before the person died... the only time this happend before was with the corrections. Standing up silently Ian opend a portal before the dead man. looking around he saw no one around. The only movement was from the bar nearby.

"looks like time for an invistagation"

He said walking to wards the bar. Stepping in everyone suddely stopped what they were doing and looked at him. ian smiled at the reaction knowing it was to be expected.

"you all know me... and I don't belive anyones time is come yet... but someone killed a man outside... I want to know who."

One of the patrons advanced on him with a pool cue but before he could even swing his face was smashed into a talbe and he slouched on the gound out cold.

"don't make me ask twice...."

Jude sighed as the Mistake entered the bar, and at his blatant statement.
He certainly was an eye-catcher, dressed in their traditional hooded robes with their ridiculous scythes.
He smirked as the one man with the pool cue thought he could take on a Mistake, and bathed in the brief moment of pain exuded from the man before he blacked out.
He stepped away from the bar, and looked across the room at the Mistake through his sunglasses. Slowly pulling them off, he folded the shades and slipped them into an outside pocket on his jacket.
Grasping the Mistake's name from his master, Jude smiled congenially, sarcasm heavy in his voice. He'd since changed his speech habits from his original speech, his voice changing as everyone elses did.
"And here I thought you knew when everyone died, Ian." Jude had seen this Mistake before, though only from a distance. He was a powerful one, though Jude hadn't needed to see the man in action to know that. He practically exuded the power of death...though he doubted the mortals around him would notice.
"But what would happen if we made you ask twice? Wouldn't that be a misuse of power on your part? So just cool it...have a drink. It's a bar after all." Jude picked up his beer and took a drink, his red eyes watching Ian carefully.

Ian looked over at the man, his eyes catching his intrest for a moment before sighing.

"becouse it's a bar I'm going to ask you to step outside so I can begin to kick your a**."

He said heading back to the door.

"and I sure hope your not the cowerdly type or anything..."

He added over his sholder, heading outside.

Jude sighed, turning back to the bar manager after the Mistake headed for the door.
"He has absolutely no sense of humor. Do I look like a coward to you?"
The big man behind the bar look Jude up and down before shaking his head slowly.
" Well that's good then, because I'm not gonna waste my time fiddling with that pipsqueak. I have things to do, people to kill, and all he's gonna do is waste my time."
The bartender nodded slowly.
" Do you know where the nearest church is?" Jude asked. It would be his next stop.
"Up three blocks, and to the right. You can't miss it."
"Thanks pal." Jude set a hundred down on the bar surface before grabbing the nearly empty beer bottle. "Keep the change."
Not bothering to drain the glass, Jude throws it in the same direction the Mistake went after asking for a quick "jump". The bottle exploded into smoke, and when it cleared, Jude was gone.

Ian smiled as he stood outside hearing the glass smash agesnt the wall.

'So he's the correction... and here I thought I'd have to worry'

Ian looked up into the cloudly sky at a small moon showing thought them. He started to walk to the nearby church, his hands in his pockets and wistleing a merry little tune.

Jude jogged from behind the bar where he'd "jumped" to. If he knew the Mistake, foolish boy that he was, Ian would be headed to the church.
"God," He looked up at the sky for a moment. "Don't you think you could at least slow him down till I'm done there?"
A small rumble like thunder was his answer..that and a fire starting to go off inside of his chest.
His master wasn't his god. He believed in God just as much as he believed in the Devil...and his master could sure make things dificult.
The first rumble wasfollowed by another, and another as the sky lit up.
The fire disspated as Jude swore that he was only making friendly conversation, continuing to jog for the church. It was going to rain soon, probably the muddy ash rain it had been for the past year. It cleared up after about an hour...if the rain lasted that long.
Jude increased his pace, reaching the first blocks up, and taking the right.
The bartender was right, you couldn't miss it, not when there was a shiny banner stuck up on the front.
"All right then, let's get rid of some good people." Jude noted with a little regret that there only seemed to be one car in the lot...probably the pastors.
He entered the church, smiling at the simplicity of the pews, and the holiness that seemed to permeat the air. Amazing, one of the last, few, real churches left. And it was empty. Didn't matter, the pastor would be in his study anyway. Jude walked down the aisle slowly, drawing his gun from it's holster.

A silent 'humph' noice came from seemingly everywhere as a voice echoed thoughout the church.

"bringing a gun into God's domain? naughty boy...."

The voice's source seemed to come from everywhere as it continued

"And I doubt you'd have the skill to kill this pastor. More likely you'll get thown out on your a**..."

Ian smiled from the shadows and kept talking.

"of coure what do I know, mabey if I'm lucky I won't have to do anything and God will strike you down himself..."

There was a pause.

"Or not...."

((That's it for tonight, I gotta go.))
Jude sighed, this Mistake was starting to get annoying...not to mention that his voice would probably alert the pastor who would either, A. Get in his car and run for it, or B. Hole up in his study waiting for someone else to take care of the problem until a gunshot sounded and then make a run for it.
He sighed, and turned around. Either way, he wasn't going to be able to take care of the pastor nice and easy.

"You're absolutely right, what do you know. Nothing really, not compared to me. Hell, you haven't even been around a third of the time I have...so don't even try to guess at things you have absolutely no knowledge of."
Jude looked for the voice's body, knowing it to be somewhere in the shadows.

"You have no faith, Ian. You didn't truly believe that God could strike me down right here. But then again..you're a Mistake, you have no faith in anything but death."
Jude wasn't talking to buy time, far from it. He'd already found the Mistake...it was all a matter of tearin' the foe, especially such a powerful one, down before the kill. Though he'd found him, Jude wandered in wrong directions, noting good vantage points before the fight.

"See, you're here to slow me down..so obviously, God still has a plan for that man in there. It's all just a momentary triumph you kno-." The fire twisted in his gut again, his master didn't like him saying such things. He was so sure that he could still win that he didn't even get the big picture. It was over before it ever really began on earth.
Jude disappeared into the shadows on the opposite side before appearing behind Ian's back in a spirit-like form. It wasn't his true form, but he could speak.

"So, now you die."
Jude sent one of his spirit claws into the Mistake's back. It would do no damage, only feeling like a strong chill slide in and out. Almost like a blade before the pain begins.

Ian smiled as the claw dispersed inches from his back. Looking over his sholder he scoffed.

"really now whats the chance of that working?"

With a swirl of shaodws he dissipared again. his voice comeing from the darkness again.

"and as for being older then me, it obviously doesnt' count for much now... your moves are just as obvious as you are."

Suddenly from behind Jude, one sythe burst out of the shadows and the other was sent flying towards his front.

"now lets have some fun"
PostPosted: Tue May 09, 2006 8:32 pm

Jude hadn't really expected the move to work, especially not since he'd tipped the Mistake off by speaking first. It would've only been unnerving anyway.
The spirit Jude disolved, and Jude's red eyes flashed open. Shadows, shadows, shadows, always the shadows. Why could nothing concerning death be straightforward and upfront?
Jude rolled his eyes at the kid's comment, it was typical, judging before he truly got to know anything. He'd been like that once, and he'd learned his lesson.
Closing his eyes, and opening his vision Jude waited for the boy's attack. He knew it would come, and being the older of the two knew how futile it was.
Centering his balance, Jude bent backwards for a moment, grabbing the handles of the scythes as they flew over his mid-section before swinging himself upwards again. The scythes burned his hands, but instead of releasing them quickly, Jude placed two fingers along the blades and, whispering, ran the fingers along the blades. The blades were now infected, and, until sterilized, their poison would be released into any cut. Best thing about it though, the poison was undetectable, even to Mistake eyes.
Walking to the center of the church Jude placed them down on the ground and stepped back.

"I'm ready Mistake, let's see what you can do."

((FYI the sythes are attached to a chain, which connects them, and the chain was still attached to the darkness, so catching them and doing that little poison thing would be unlikely as Ian would have kept their momentem going, the same thing applies for you putting them down on ground))

Ian stepped out of the shadows and walked down the isle between the church seats. He had seen what Jude had done to his sythes and thought it was rather amuseing.

"well now I got to clean my sythes again... so annoying..."

Ian looked up at Jude smileing.

"you know this means I'll have to kick your a** now..."

Ian faced off with Jude for a second, sizeing him up, then slid his right foot back and took up an unrecognizable fighting stance. He focoused the power of death into his arms and hands and with a massive thrust thew a punch into the air in front of him. The ground before Ian suddenly cracked and you could see from the dispersment of air that a massive surge of force was comeing at Jude with the knetic enegry of a fright train.

"and by the way... the pastor died last week..."
PostPosted: Wed May 10, 2006 5:22 pm

((Sorry..that was actually my second screw-up for yesterday...I'm slipping gonk ...and tired.))
Jude smirked at Ian, his red eyes starting to glow a little.

"What do you think I've been waiting for...Judgement Day?" Jude didn't bother to wait for an answer because the Mistake proceeded to follow out with his threat.
Although the stance was unrecognizable, Jude knew exactly what Ian was trying to do. He'd seen displays of power like this before, and knew how to avoid them, and the attack that usually followed.

"That's what you think." Jude said slyly refering to the pastor bit...the Mistake was living up to his name..again.

As he was in the middle of the aisle, it would be silly to jump into the pews on either side, they would only be a trap. Instead Jude jumped up and over Ian and his death-blast, or whatever the youngling chose to call it. He nearly reached within 10 feet of the church ceiling when he jumped, giving himself plenty of time to pull out his guns. Somersaulting the air, Jude held his thumbs over the tips of the gun for just a moment. He landed on the floor, rolling to the ground to both avoid a second attack and cushion the jump, and moved smoothly up to his knee. Firing each gun a few times each, Jude re-holstered both before the bullets would reach their targets. There were now several poisoned bullets headed Ian's way, two for his head, and the rest forming a wide circle around his chest area.

The Mistake had misunderstood. The man in the back wasn't exactly a pastor yet...the old pastor had died, yes, but the young man in the back that was taking his place was Jude's target. He would reach the people of the congregation in a way that the old pastor never had been able to.
Jude was already refering to the young man as the Preacher.

Ian watched as Jude flew over his head. He turned and smiled as Jude followed through his leap with a barrige of bullets aimed stright for Ian. He saw the two heading right for his head and suddenly his eyes flashed black and the area around Ian immedatly surged with power that knocked the bullets away. Forming another fist Ian got ready to thow another punch when he suddenly lifted up his foot the and made a massive sweeping kick sending a wave of force right at Jude.
