He nodded. It was his home. After leaving his pack he had no where else to go. He was left wondering about on his own. From time to time he watched other groups, prides, herds, packs, and any other group of animals. He adopted their hunting styles and sometimes their habits as well.
-flash back-
Usu laid their wounded by a herd of zebras from his second of my failed hunts. THis time he used a mixture of lion's stalking skills with a cheetah's sprint. Unfortunately, he overlooked the fact that it was a too big of a herd.
He laid there in the savannah, blood oozing from his open wounds. Is this it? he thought. Is this how I am going to die? he laughed. "Maybe this mark is wrong after all."
A soft, gentle breeze drifted around him. "Do you seek shelter?" Usu's ears perked.
"Who's....there?" his eyes, glazed, look around but there was no one in sight.
"Come, young one. You are not to die now. Follow me, I will give you shelter when you need it." another breeze engulfed him. Somehow it felt strong and powerful. Usu got to his feet with tremendious effort. A series of breezes floated past now and again, all going in the same direct, Usufii followed.
These breezes led him to the tree.
He snapped back from his thoughts as he looked up into the leaves of the Acacia tree. Some see him as odd when he speaks to it. Maybe it's just him or maybe it's something he could do or it's just his imagination of things that he wants. But he was comfortable with it, he liked the life he lived.
"I am home." he whispered.
