I glance in the direction that the caravan alarm is coming from and slowly set my bucket down. I sigh and whisper to myself, "It's my duty..." I takes my heavy mace off of my belt and begin to head toward the caravan.

Destroy the Kobolds!
Action Summary: As Arazil was helping to fight the fire in town, he noticed a group of small creatures moving around inside the burning town. With all the heat and smoke he could see no way to get to the area he saw them pass through. Arazil made the spot check, the DC was 13
Tanith, Arazil and Timothy have all begun to move towards the battle going on at the caravan. Leaving the citizen's of Triel to deal with the fires. Aravol has just emerged from the inn, which has just caught fire, among a surge of patrons. Uri Blackhammer is helping the citizen's fight the fire near the tavern. They both have heard the guard's horn, and can see a few people headed in the direction of the battle.
Current situation: As you head towards the battle at the eastern road out of town, you suddenly realize what is going on. The caravans are being raided by a large band of armed kobolds! It appears that the few guards left at the caravan when the fires broke out were no match for a band of this size, and lie dead under the feet of the raiders. Currently the kobolds are unloading everything they can carry or drag and scurrying off with it into the nearby wood. Several even appear to be trying to get horses hooked to one of the many loaded wagons. They have set fire to a few of the wagons nearer to town, creating a cloud of rolling smoke between you and the caravan. As you get closer you realize that there are few larger creatures working among the kobolds... hobgoblins!
One hobgoblin is particularly easy to spot, he wields a two-handed battle axe and wears blackened, battered splint mail armor. He is shouting in a guttural tongue and pointing around with the head of his axe.
If something isn't done quickly the entire load is going to be lost! With the dire straights the fire blazing behind you is sure to put the townsfolk in, the loss of the entire caravan of goods would destroy any chance the town had of recovering. You realize that walking down the road any further is going to get you noticed by someone, and pause to think about your next step.
- The kobolds are armed with either a shortspear, short sword or short bow. Their AC is 13. The kobolds move too quickly and furiously to count, popping in and out of and from behind the wagons. You would guess at least 40 of the little buggers were running around out there! Many of the kobolds are carrying heavy loads on their backs or cradled in their arms and are currently headed away NE towards the forest.
- There appear to be 3 hobgoblins in leather armor, with shield and longsword. Their AC is 15. They appear to be working with groups of kobolds, they are spread out among the wagons.
- There is another with a large axe and spint mail. His AC is 16. He is standing in the central area of the group of wagons, there is a campfire burning behind him with some meat roasting on a stick. Apparently someone had been about to have a late night snack.
I believe the best place to go from here is to initiative rolls! eek If you agree then post a d20 roll, then edit it to add your modifier and give your total and opening action. I will track initiative, so actions can be posted in any order in the thread, but just one action per turn please 3nodding If you are not attacking the kobolds then just post what your action is going to be.
You are roughly 40 feet from the nearest of the kobolds, the majority of the band is about 60 feet from you. They are too busy to have noticed you coming yet, mainly due to the general roar of noise in the surrounding area. After you have made your initiative roll you can go ahead take your first turn. I look at the bard, then back at the kobolds."We may be able to do this alot better with your help. And if this town burns down, they won't be able to pay you for your services in the tavern"I run to the nearest kobold, bringing out my foot in an attempt to kick him. 19+3 attack bonus+2 charge=24 to Hit note my AC is now at 14 for this round

Uri pauses from his bucket carrying, sniffs at the air and instantly begins running down the east road, grabbing his hammer from his belt. "damn kobolds" he says under his breath as charges in to attack.
3+2 mod = 5 initiative 5 confused

Uri charges into the nearest kobold with his gnome hammer held high..
8 + 5 mod = 13 (wow.. i hit)
and brings it down onto the kobolds skull.

Aravol looks about, noting the Kobolds and Hobgoblins. "This looks bad. Gotta make sure no one gets hurt." He mutters to himself as he looks the Hobgoblin with the axe in the eyes. He focuses his own will against his foe's, mentally destroying the hobgoblin from the inside out
