Heiko chirped in appreciation. The pretty thing was helping! Even after Laial had been so mean to him, he still could help! Perhaps shi could preen him later or something as thanks. Pushing in tune with Paxton, they managed to tip Laial onto his shell again.
Once on his shell, Laial quickly spread out his appendages to make sure he was stabilized. After all, it would be a bad way to thank you Hei- wait...the bird helped too. Great. Now what would he do? His instant anger gone, his mind forced him to think this out.
One thing was for sure...he was in debt. Debt was bad. Laial hated to feeling of having to pay someone back. He stood up and faced the bird, but when he tried to head on, his eyes were distracted by a fascinating piece of dirt on the ground. "Thanks..." He was able to mutter.

Paxton lay there huffing and puffing for a moment. Wow Laial had been more heavy than he thought. Besides, it wasn't as if Paxton were the strongest boy either, his light and delicate bone structure was not made for him to pile muscle on. He was lean and fit...but not the hulk. "Heh...heh..." he reached up wiping a drop of sweat from his head. That was hard work.
Noticing Laial shifting, Paxton stood up. He wasn't as mad as he had been a few moments ago, but he wasn't going to let Laial know that. Immediately he put on the tough guy act, folding his arms as he glowered at the older boy infront of him. Paxton had done a great thing today, he had saved someone's life...it was a...good feeling. No! What was he thinking this boy had totally tried to hurt him.
Paxton ruffled his feather in an irritated fashion. He didn't want to, but he forced himself to listen to Laial's apology. His Ma' had raised him with some manners after all. "Your welcome..." he said grumpily, using the back of his hand to wipe more crap form his nose. With that all said and done he turned around and began heading back for home. Time to blow this place. He could practice flying another day.

He could feel the other staring at him behind his back as he toddeled off. Seesh, if it wasn't bad enough, didn't this boy with the tenticals know it was rude to stare at others?...Especially after someone had just saved your life. The love bird continued on for a few feet, before the little wings on his head twitched, acknowledging the Laial.
Paxton turned around on heal with a huff. "...I'm a Paxton." He shot Laial a somewhat bothered look, but his expression softened at just how harsh he realized he was being. " But, my DNA is lovebird." For ever so brief a moment, Laial might have sworn he could have seen a thin smile cross Paxton's lips. "...An yours?" He asked curiously as he turned around and began to walk off again.
No worries, this child had acted enough in such a manner that Paxton knew he would shout after him. So, he waited, and once Laial had given his name, he vanished.

Laial wasn't fazed, just tilted his head and waited for the bird to respond. A lovebird named Paxton? Not that he had a normal name, of course, but still...
"Laial, DNA Nautilus." Surprisingly, he didn't shout out as one might think he would. He just replied in a normal, calm voice. No need to shout or anything.
He also turned and walked away. It was getting time to come home.
