I think Hmong people have humongous families; everyone I know who is Hmong has like 6 or more siblings!! eek eek eek
In one of my first day of classes, the teacher had this exercise for us to get to know each other, and for one of the questions, he labeled each corner 0 siblings, 1 siblings, 2 siblings, and 3 siblings, and we all had to stand in a corner. 4/5 Asian students had to stand in the middle because they had more than 3 siblings. I was the exception. These Hmong guy had 6 siblings, this Hmong girl had 8 siblings, and this Cambodian girl had 5. I only have 2 sisters and I'm in the middle.

Yes I do think Asians have a bigger family. For one, my dad's side had seven siblings. As for my mom they were only two. And for my family I have two younger bros.
The reason why asian's have a huge family count, is because the kids are used for every day purposes, such as manual labor. In China, a typical nuclear family would consist of five or more children. If I'm correct, the Chinese favor more of the males than female, again, for manual labor.

It really depends on your family.. Most of my friends have small families. With the exception of mine b/c I have.. 2 bros and 2 sis = 5 in all. Which most people think is a "big" number XD.. Both of my parents though had 11 siblings each. like whoa!

Huge I say.... my mom had 9 sibilings, and I think my dad had like 6... and there are just way too many cousins in the U.S., and Philippines most of whom I haven't even met or knew about. I have 2 cousins that live in near Japan.. you can never tell if they're related to me just by appearance... they both look pure japanese even though they're just half jap and half flipino.

Well that's the past. Now many Asian countries are developing and birth rates drop as, one of the many reasons is that, they're expensive to look after. biggrin (We're expensive) The GDP of the LEDC is also rising, and so the gov't would have benefit for the old guys without needing the kids to look after them and blah blah.. that's human geography for you. stare
