If you believe and know that the only way to heaven is through Christ Jesus, how can you believe the Q'uran?

amelynn If you believe and know that the only way to heaven is through Christ Jesus, how can you believe the Q'uran? Don't you see? There are many paths to God. While the Q'uran may not tell very much about Jesus, it still talks about him. You can't judge the Q'uran by the terorist fanatics. If a book feels right I will read it. I would be able to give more information on the Q'uran but my current study energy is focused on the bible and the stuff taken out of it.

I would be able to give more information on the Q'uran but my current study energy is focused on the bible and the stuff taken out of it. The Bible says otherwise. Each religion has a different way to heaven. Almost all but Christianity base it on works. That's what makes Christianity so different. Despite what you think, you cannot truly accept both the Christian Bible and the Q'uran. If two opposing ideas are present, either A is true and B is false. Or B is true and A is false. Or they're both false. A and B cannot both be true at the same time. It's logic. I believe in the Bible! (Jesus, God as man, is the only way) but I also believe the Q'uran! (Jesus was just a human prophet) That's like believing light and dark are the same thing and can happily co-exist at the same time without separation. They aren't and can't. In order to accept both books, you'd have to throw out the majority of both of them. You call everything but what you want to believe a lie just so you can live a happy, guilt free life. You're creating your own religion. It's not about conforming our religion to our beliefs but our beliefs to our religion. It's either Christ or nothing. That's it. Matthew 7:13-14 ESV "Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few." It's easy to say, all religions are right. However, they are far too different. Refer to the A B logic formula.

I didn't make it say anymore than what it is at face value.
That makes it real easy for you to believe whatever you want then, Guitarhero. Sounds like a cop out to me. The problem is one I've mentioned before. Religion/faith is not there to be molded around our beliefs. Our beliefs are to be molded around our religion/faith. God created man not the other way around. By practicing what you preach, Guitarhero, you're doing just that. Molding religion around your beliefs and making God to fit into your little, guilt free pocket.
If any of the Bible is unbelievable then there's no reason for us to believe anything the Bible says. There goes the whole Christian religion! If you cannot believe in the Bible as a Christian, you have nothing to base your faith on. You can believe in God, but how do we know Christ was God and died to save us. The whole Bible is based around Christ. It could have been a bedtime story for the little Gentile boys and girls. If we cannot believe in the Bible, we have no faith. We then have only any wild idea some man thinks up. That leaves us with 3 options. 1. It doesn't matter and we're all going to heaven. 2. It doesn't matter and we're all going to simply cease to exist. 3. It matters, we're all wrong and we're all going to hell.
Again I refer to the logic argument. If two ideas are conflicting, either A is true and B is false, A is false and B is true, or they're both false. Both the Q'uran and the Bible cannot be true at the same time. To pick and choose from them is as false as atheism. You make your own religion and false God.

If people have faith, then that's good enough for me. What I am about to say will probably bug a few people in this guild. With how much the bible has changed over the years if you just take things for what they are or at face value you will be deceived.

It's not about what's good enough for you or me. It's all about what's good enough for God. The answer, of course, is, "nothing." If the words of God written through inspired man is not good enough, we have no reason to believe anything anyone claiming to be enlightened says, even if it goes with the Bible.
The Christian faith is (or should be) all about the Bible. It comes down to, no Bible = no Christian faith. Convince yourself otherwise all you want, but that's the brass and tacks of it.

Guitarhero356 Don't you see? There are many paths to God. That statment goes against the very foundation of Christianity. The Bible says there is only one way to heaven, and if that is not true, then we didn't need Christ and the past 10 years of my life have been wasted believing that Christ is the only reason that I wont go to hell when I. God dosen't say one thing and mean another. The ONLY way to heaven is through the son.

God=infallible God's word=infallible The word of God=infallible
As I said, I don't believe God allowed His Words to be so edited that they can no longer be held as truth. The Bible is the only basis for the Christian faith. Without the truth of the Bible, we have no Christian faith. If only parts are true, we would never be able to tell which ones are and which aren't. As you said and practice, we could make it say anything we mean then.

Most people just see one point of view though. You can qoute the bible all you want but that's not going to change what is and isn't truth.

Right........ the king james version, the new american version, the living bible, the new king james version, the Niv. Need I go on? If the bible has never been edited or reworded then how come the different versions of the bible say other wise. Go to Isaiah 34:14. Look for what it says concerning lilith. Now, you will have to check at least 5 or 6 different versions of the bible to see what I mean, but it is clear as day. I guaruntee you.

Guitarhero356 Did you know that there is religious text such as two books of adam and eve and religous text talking of the infancy of Christ? I have the books They are thus non-caconic, and if they are true or false, they are still non-caconic.
