Dornfey Thompson, he was a neutral good wizard who enjoyed the finer things in life, like Women, women, and ale.He even knocked up the party's thief!
Salick Linran, He was a true Neutral Necromancer who really didn't like anyone, he was flirting with the parties Abjurer and well, nothing good came of things.....
Drak'ikon Diric was a chaotic good githzerai thief in a Planescape Campaign he used two weapons, a one handed Katana, and a Scimitar. He was kinda silent sometimes, but when the opressed were suffering, he would always find someway to liberate them.
Barthalamew Silvereyes, was a chaotic Neutral Illusionist with a wild spark to him. He would always find a way to be loud, flamboyant of his illusionary powers, and always offend at least three people intentionally (even if there was only one person in the room)
Amoridi Longblade, was a lawful good cleric to Huintsa (the goddess of light in my world), she always threw the needs of others before her own needs. She was in love with the parties Paladin, who worshiped a goddess of the dawn.
Ganamead Alesworth, was a neutral good halfling fighter, every called him the david of halflings, because of his mastery with the sling, and the fact it dolled out lots of damage, of course he wasn't a slouch with the hand axe, short sword or short bow.

I got a lvl 7 true neutral rouge halfling. Yes he is T-N. Any way. He has Insomnia and ends up only sleeping one hour a night. Yet sadly he has narcolepsy. At the DM choice I pass the ******** out which really sucks lol. The way he acts is weird. He will like steal some thing. Then feel guilty and go make a donation to the church. While sitting and praying he looks up and see a nice pair of candle holders. So he makes a donation then looks up and goes "Oh those look nice I think I'll take them." Or he gives ten gold to a homeless person. Then use sleight of hands to steal 15 gold off that person.

I remember I had a NG Half-Golem Lich Psion/Planswalker. I mostly liked writing the backstory for him.

Some of the most intriguing characters I have had the fortune (and sometimes misfortune) of meeting.
Grozner Kurlez: A true Neutral half orc Beserker, He once head butted a hill giant and kicked him in the shins! He owns a keep high up in the frost laden town of Forlorn.
Gwen Stonebow:A neutral good smuggler he traveled with Grozner, Dornfey, Shensu(a half elf blade), Dewdra (a half elf thief mage), Koastamogen the Stern( A half orc fighter cleric of Digna, goddess of justice),Ashitaka(an elven mage), and Omikron(an elven Ranger thief). She was the den mother and voice of reason. She also ended up having Dornfey's son Cale.
Sir Peter of Loliga: A paladin whose holy symbol was a c**k, not the phalus but the animal c**k. He called it the beast of the dawn.
The Birdwhisperer: A chaotic Neutral Mongrelman jester, he was amazingly a bard who was part of the Xaosect. Saddly he died.......

Garret Tosscobble, the halfling bard. He was half of a legendary warrior named twindragon, and he knew his own legend. He had a birthmark that glowed whenever it touched the other half's birthmark and he rode a behir into battle. One time he b*tchslapped a bug-bear with his spiked shield.(best kill ever) It was a short lived, and rather boring campaign, but one awesome character.

Mine was a lvl 11 Storm Giant Monk called "Fang"
his stats:
STR 30 (+10)
DEX 22 (+6)
CON 20 (+5)
INT 13 (+1)
WIS 20 (+5)
CHA 10 (+0)
he was cool mostly because his fists were a bit larger than normal monks... mrgreen
uhmm... 3d6 unarmed strike. if i remember correctly mrgreen

My mage for WFRP, ok its not D&D but this guy is so much fun ,hes arrogant, twisted, meglomanical, bordering on phycopathic and has an unplesent prelediction to torture, ok hes evil but it is fun to play and he is a "character" who everyone hates (in character) pity he will die soon

Viclomin Trannyth 18th level Cleric of Pelor.
Viclomin was a humble altruistic do gooder, always happy to go out of his way to help another. At his level of power alot of villains and evils were up to him to stop, even with this responsibility he would often bend down and help with small tasks. He was a kindhearted man who was quick to make friends wether you wanted to or not wink
He would start every single conversation with a new person with the words "Hello, my name is Viclomin Trannyth, a cleric of pelor,..." he was easily remembered and hard to forget. His travels took him across many lands and put him with strange allies. On one excursion a botched plane shift led him to gehenna where he rescued a planetar and carried her home. He was also one of the few between the material plane and armegeddon when a massive gate to the nine hells was opened.
Unfortunatly the Campaign ended there. He is however my most memorable character ^_^

My favourite character was a level 7 kender rogue who gained 5000 rp in one session by stealing the female members of the royal familys underwear while they were wearing them and surrounded by hundreds of guards who had a constant eye on me. everybody couldent stop laughing

Quirky characters always occur in the campaigns I play in. My favorite ones that I played were:
Sister Mona Lizette - cleric and rogue dual class - She's an elven rogue, who looks oddly like Mia Wallace from Pulp Fiction, that mascurades as a nun and aquired some cleric skills to ensure the rouse. She stole a cursed bustier of teleport, which periodically transports her (without her consent) to aid a party in need. I roll her up for high level campaigns, but she plays the role of random NPC or duex machina to save the party from certain death when I'm a DM.
Helena Troy - nymph shadowdancer with an outfit that covers nearly all her body, but can be removed as a free action. If people don't see her they're in trouble, if they do see her they're in trouble.

Lazarin he was a Lamia Noble Monk (if you actually remeber what a Lamia Noble is, I'll give you 50 gold)
He was a Chaotic Neutral I believe, and con-artist extrodinaire! He sold most of the party into sexual slavery... Repeatedly. I think I got almost 1000g for a night with the half-celestial ^.^ The best part? Only one member of the party ever knew it was me. and He/She was a voluntary ho!
I also got us a free night at the inn when I offered to pay in the morning and grossed out the innkeeper. (Larzarin kept his bag of gold in his c**k-pouch)
