Uh oh. There was trouble brewing like no tomorrow, and Fute knew this most of all. He'd never seen Helaku angry, but he wasn't sure he was going to like it. He hadn't really actually liked his previous mutter, either. Hurting the poor Mingan like that. He had no right! How dare him! Fute's fur began to bristle itself even slightly, but he refrained from making any fast moves. He knew all too well that Helaku, if pushed or threatened, would become a formidable opponent, and this worried him moreso whenever Rochir spoke up what he did. ...Mate? His head cocked to one side for a moment, eyes gazing in curiosity. As soon as his dazed state subsided, however, he was back to his senses and stepped back a few feet. He didn't like fights, and if it hadn't been for his shocked state of mind at things, he would've stopped Rochir dead in his tracks. "You're no match. Please don't hurt them Helaku..." His whispers were so low and to himself that noone could make them out if they even tried. Helaku had had ENOUGH. It must've been some sort of deathwish this wolf had, to confront him in such a manner! Well, if it was a deathwish he had, then he for one would be more than glad to oblige the fella. "Oh, so you think you're ready to play with the big boys, do ya? WELL HAVE AT ME, PUP!" he scolded, considering him absolutely no threat whatsoever to his personal safety, and therefore unable to deny the challenge. Without a second's hesitation, he lept over with a snarl and bit into Mingan's side, ripping some of the fur clear off and sending it flying in whatever way direction. In his mind, he was killing two birds with one stone; accepting his challenge head-on and putting a weakling out of their misery. At least partially, anyhow. Mingan's blood did not leave a very good taste in his mouth, nomatter, and so he spat it out. He'd do it again though. He'd fight them all if he had to. Never kill them, but fight them all the same.

Sadly, Mingans fears were realized too late. If he hadn't been around friends, he would have run away long ago from this poisonous wolf. His eyes widened as Helaku threw dirt in the red wolf's face, and only continued to widen and tear up as the red wolf spit firey words back. Any other time, Minan would rejoice that two had found love together, but it was all he had at the moment not to loose the contents of his bladder. His fur bristled in fear rather than anger, and he did his best to make himself look smaller.
It wasn't enough.
The attack came as less than a surprise. Helaku was screaming, Mingan was whimpering, the other two seemed.. shocked. He heard Fute whisper and that was the last thing he heard. The poisonous wolf flew at him and tore into his right side. His savior less than an hour ago.. now his assailant. He thought his leg had hurt bad, but now he had the sting of fur being ripped from his rips, flesh torn into. The old wolf screamed as he fell to his left side, legs collapsing under him. A glazed look fell over his face as his drifted from conciousness. Out cold, miraculously not dead.
Helaku's actions sent the red male into a rage. He had never fought another wolf before, only taken down prey. Upon hearing the old wolf cry out and seeing him fall to the ground Rochir lept forward, barreling into the yellow git. "Ah told ye not t' touch them!" he spat at the other wolf as he made to rip into the yellow wolf's shoulder. Anger prickled through his veins, adrenaline spiking and throwing him forward and into motion. The other wolf was no doubt bigger than he, but there was no way he'd stand for it. He had first ignored Rochir, then spoke badly to the auld grey wolf before attacking him. It wouldn't stand. No matter the age, rude wolves, dangerous wolves, needed to be put in their place.
Clamping his teeth down he braced himself to hold on for as long as needed, eyes straying back to Fute, begging him silently to stay out of it. Just stay away.. tend to the auld wolf... he thought hard to Fute, hoping he would get the message.

Helaku didn't have a chance to even think to himself before the male clabbered into him like a brick wall. He yelled and reared up, sending the red male flying off of him accidentally in the process. It was all the same well to him though. After all, he was much larger in size, and this dumb post was actually challenging him. "YOU WILL LEARN TO MIND YOUR PLACE!" He scolded the maned wolf once again, turning and plunging himself into his side. His intentions never were to kill, but definitely make weak enough to leave him be. If need be, he'd consider using his time to help the healing process afterwards, but they were forever to know their place in his prescence. Fangs tore into Rochir's fur just like Mingan's, and but little did he know of whatever the maned one would come up with. The flesh wound he'd made to the yellow male was burning, but nothing too huge for the male. He wasn't one to completely whine at a single wound. He could tell he wasn't full at strength though, thanks to it. Fute stood there in astonishment as the scene before him only grew worse by the second. Should he rush to Mingan, or help Rochir? He didn't have much decision time before Helaku reared up and plunged into Rochir once throwing him off him. That was enough. Mingan would be fine; he felt it in his heart. Not a second more and he was sprinting over and jumping onto the yellow male's back. "GET THE ******** OFF MY MATE'S BACK, NOW!!!" he thundered, not really sure what to expect, and not realizing his words.

Grey-pelt was in a very cold place. Not that he didn't enjoy it, the snow covered ground around him was very pretty, snowflakes twirled about him in an almost magical splendor. A few yards out to his left he could see a frozen lake, lightly dusted with snow. He took a few steps forward before remembering his injuries and stopping abruptly. He looked over his side and hip, the scars are there and they run deep, but for the most part they don't pain him anymore. Ecstatically he hops forward, a silly grin on his face. Yipping, he bounds his way through the snow to the lake, taking in as much of the scenerie as possible in the time it takes him to reach the frozen cover.
Letting his tongue loll from his mouth, he sits and swishes his tail, fluffing snow back and forth for a moment before setting a paw on the ice, testing it. Slowely he creeps out over the ice, testing for any weaknesses in it, not wanting to fall through. Finally he's satisfied with the ice, and pushes forward making his way across. There's really no reason for him to, and in waking he would never do anything remotely similar to it. But for now, in this world, he was brave. He began to sing to himself as he trotted across the frozen wasteland, ears alert, tail swishing, a wistful smile on his face.
Rochir hit the ground hard and rolled, spitting blood and fur. He couldn't make out the words, just raving from the other wolf. As he struggled to his feet he was hit once again, and fell once more. Now bearing the same wound as Mingan, he lay still for a moment, collecting himself. The other wolf was bigger and apparently stronger, but those types were always stupid anyway. He gave standing another go, and made it up this time, only to see Fute jump the other wolf with a loud and angry yell. Breathing hard he set himself rigid and took off, slinging himself sideways and ramming his entire body into the yellow wolf as hard as he could, knocking the wind out of himself.

These pups clearly didn't have any idea how vile and dark he could really be! Here they were thrashing and pounding themselves against him, not realizing that he wasn't even trying his hardest yet! Haha, silly mortals. They'd learn their lessons, and it wouldn't take long. - Helaku's thoughts were abruptly stopped as the red male struck him with his entire body. Immediately he fell backwards, tumbling to the ground but sending Fute with him. The flesh wound combined with a huge-a** bruise that would no sooner than in a few minutes appear and be there for a VERY long time. Not only this, but his insides might've been damaged in the process. Though it appeared that the maned one was already suffering from lashing out the attack, Helaku's strength was taking its everloving time building up. Impatience was his only weakness now, but he wouldn't budge until his strength would permit him to. He couldn't. "RRRRRAH!" He slashed non-stop sand at the male with paw swipes left and right, sending a whirlwind of a sandstorm into Rochir's face in a continuous effort to blind him. Or at the very least, damage his eyesight. Weakening the opponent was vital in any match such as this. Fute bit into the back of Helaku's fur and ripped at the skin with his nails. There we no way in HELL he was going to let him hurt Rochir. It was then that he saw him plunge forth into Helaku's side. "Rochir N-!!!" His yell couldn't get about before the both of them tumbled backwards, the yellow one landing on top of him. Considering the yellow one was a few inches bigger than him, or about equal size, this meant pain. And a lot of it. But only briefly did any bodily nuisances occur before his breath began to shorten, and finally, he blacked out.

Finishing up his song, he neared the edge of the lake. Crossing the bank he headed for the treeline, disappearing between towering pines and connifers. The snowfall lessened as he strolled deeper into the woods, though the ground was still covered in white and snow nested in every bough. There was no doubt in the old wolf's mind as to where he was headed, but at the same time he had no clue. A happy feeling stuck in his heart through it, but had now started to wane slightly, and he hadn't yet realized the trail of blood left behind him as he walked.
Rochir reeled, his head spinning. He had realized his idea was a bad one the second of impact, and now he just layed, eyes screwed shut in pain. His face was soon pelted with dirt again, his nose tickled with the stuff, and he didn't dare open his eyes again. There wasn't much the red wolf could think of at this point. He had heard Fute yell, but he couldn't change the outcome of it now. He would just sit and wait. Wait for the dirt to settle, wait and rest, wait for the other wolf to make a move. The offensive was not helping him, and he realized this now. He couldn't go by acting like his father for the rest of his life, it would get him killed. It was time to defend, he should have realized it from the first time he had dirt thrown in his eyes, but he couldn't let that stupid git hurt a friend and get away with it.

It wasn't uncanny that the red male had given up. Not to Helaku at least. He knew he was a weakling all along. Only the toughest and strongest and most brutal of wolves survived in this type of world, and if he didn't learn to respect from the start, he'd one day wind up dead. The dirt thrashing continued for many minutes before finally stopping, strength rising to the male. He was able to once again rise to all fours, and though beaten and battered, had plenty of strength to go on. Probably not enough to do severe damage, but it was needlessly said that that amount of damage had already been inflicted upon the group of them. The only obstacle now was deciding whether to finish him off then and there, or spare his puny life.
It came back to his mind of the words they'd used to one another, Rochir and Fute. Mate.. He snickered at the thought, and with that decided to settle for the already-done harm. It was enough it appeared. Enough to let him know he didn't stand a chance in offense mode. "Now you watch your step, PUP. I hope you've learned your place." His tone was stern and when he was done he slid into the water again. It stung his flesh wounds and caused his entire body to ache, having to exert it to keep afloat like that. However this didn't much matter to the male. What had been done, had been done. Though it was noticeably more difficult to get around, and he'd suffer silently for a good while to come, probably. But meh. They no longer deserved his attention. Except for perhaps Fute. Oh how he HATED having a soft spot for that male. It made him growl beneath his breath, but fill with worry all the same.
"Damnit!" he suddenly exclaimed, dragging himself out of the water and over to the spotted male's resting place. It seemed his tongue was hanging out of his mouth and his body's positioning was whack. What the hell was he doing? Why the flippin' flyin' ******** was he helping someone who obviously didn't deserve his time of day? "Grrumph." A disgusted snarl emitted from his maw, but then in an instant he dipped down and gave him a few gentle licks to the paw, in attempt to wake him up. "Come on. Get up, Fute." .... No such luck. He sat next to the other male and was prepared to do so until he woke up, fond memories returning to him of meeting the hyperactive pup. Well what did one know! Helaku had a soft spot held only by his, me-mor-ies...

Soon Mingan's happy pace had slowed, the forest was turning dark and horrible screams could be heard in the distance. Only after he stopped did he see he was standing in a pool of his own blood, and looking back realized he had been trailing it for as far as his eyes could visualize. He whined, not daring to cry out. Whatever was screaming around him, he did not want to catch its attention. What started as anything the wolf could ever hope for had very suddenly turned into his own hell.
Finally the dirt pelting his face stilled, and the dust around him settled. He opened his eyes warily and watched the other male slip into the water. He thought momentarily about drowning him, even if it meant he would drown too, but decided against it. His body ached badly, the blood seeping from his sidewound mingled into his fur causing little color difference. For the moment he just layed, letting his stamina return, in case. He watched the other wolf, rage building up again as it had the audacity to approach Fute.
Raising himself up to stand again, he stared hard at the back of Helaku's head. "Get 'way from 'im." he spoke firmly. "Now."

There wasn't much he could do now, and perhaps, for a single split second, the male regretted acting so harshly in the prescence of someone he actually respected. Rather Fute was now a pathetic one or not made no difference. He still had a spark of respect for the guy, and couldn't let go of it, nomatter how annoying he'd found things to have gotten that led up to this occurance. Psh. What a waste of his precious strength, this fight had been. The only reason he'd done it at all was to put oblivious wolves in their places. And when he said 'their' he only meant the imbecile named Rochir.
Speaking of which, the fool was now talking to him like he was of some sort of higher authority. As if he was in any condition to do anything about it anyways. Hah. The male chuckled at his pathetic attitude of things. "He's not your property, you know. Plus, he is my friend." Short, simple, and to the point. The same straight-forward answer he'd given Mingan when asking him to come along. No wolf deserved to die, let alone one he considered a friend. This red male was more than welcome to help if he wanted, though he probably couldn't do much anyways. Just looking at him made Helaku snicker every time. Hyena... He sure behaved like a hyena, anyhow. Always trying to get themselves in over their heads. Or so he heard... Fute's mind had drifted off somewhere else now. Somewhere fiery. Burning. Dark. Dangerous. Horrifyingly interesting in each and every way. The crevaces of the stone walls of the cave were covered in magma, flames sporadically protruding from the very ground in front of him. It seemed to be a path. A path of...fire? "So strange..." The male muttered the two words to himself as he took a few steps forward, the fire suddenly dying down into the ground on many occasions, just before his body could touch it and be scarred. Or so he'd figure he'd be. Ears perked up at the sound of each pebble crackling itself onto the cave floor. An eery fog began to drift through, and what little light there had been, abruptly dissapeared, everything now pitch black, but the same sounds happening. It was like a tunnel of death...

Ears pinned to his skull and tail tucked, Mingan fled on three legs. The horrible pain in his side and leg were back, and it was all he could do not to curl up and die. The screams were getting closer, insane tortured screams. Mingan screamed too, as he ran faster and faster. Soon the trees were a blur, black and charred. What was once snow and cold was now a burned wasteland, the ground fell away at his paws as he passed over it. The voices were closer now, snickering in Mingan's ears, telling him insidious lies, dripping venom from false maws.
He walked forward stifly, purposefully. "Yeh, 'e's 'is own wolf, ah know that." he kept walking, then let out a laugh that may be described as insane. "YE 'ave FRIENDS?!" he almost knocked himself over laughing, gasping for air. He finally settled down, sitting with Fute laying between him and Helaku. "Ye're ******** up, ye know." he spoke quietly. "Ye may be older than us, but it dunnae mean ye're smarter." Rochir quieted and rested a paw on Fute softly, hoping he was ok. He looked ok really, he looked fine, but there was no telling what was going on inside the spotted wolf now. He hoped with all he had that his love would wake soon.
" 'Sides. T'ere be no point in beatin' each other up while these two lay 'ere 'elpless." he spoke again, leaving Fute's side only to check on the grey male. Good, he was still alive, he even had a silly grin on his face. He wondered how the old wolf could even be alive after all this, he would have certainly had a heart attack by this point... he was so skittish. Suddenly he turned back to Helaku angrily. "Why'd ye 'ave t' 'urt t' auld wolf anyway?? 'e dinnae do nothin' t' ye." he spat. "As far as ah c'n throw ye, ye'r just actin' out ye'r arse."

His tail flickered once in aggrivation, his mind only half-listening to red maned one's mumbles. He sounded like a frickin' a** leprachaun! This made Helaku laugh just as much as he was. So much, that he didn't notice the other's laughter until the last second, at which point he would've snarled, but figured it of no use. The wimp wasn't worth a second of his time, let alone a second of his breath. Even so, some things just had to be spoken. "You challenged me with your actions. I never turn down a challenge." That would suffice to answer his question, but there was a bigger point to be recognized here as well. "And you know, you should've thought before you acted. Not only did you begin the fight, but you ended up hurting your own mate." His words were taunting and with just a smidge of sarcasm embedded, his eyes and facial expression following his tone quite well. "So as far as I'm concerned, you've already proven yourself to be far bigger the fool than I. Young one." No more would be said. Speeches were for dolts who couldn't find the right words to say. He'd never had that issue. All the other insults the red one had slurred his way did not matter to him. He tuned out insults as such on most occasions. They were juvenile and not worth making a ruckus over. The young one didn't know what he was talking about. He hoped his words would make him realize that.

He snorted. "So ye always go 'round doin' just what yir challenged t'do? Why dunnae y' go drown yirself then, ah challenge ye t' do it." he taunted back with a flick of his tail, grey eyes glaring at the other wolf. There was nothing more to be said to the dolt. He tuned him out and sat himself back beside Fute, burying his dirt filled nose in his companion's fur in a nuzzle. Once again he wasn't sure what to do. He was smaller than Fute, he couldn't just.. drag him away. There was also Mingan to worry about. And there was no way he could drive the idiot yellow wolf away, and no way he could kill him without injuring himself beyond being able to heal. He would just have to wait and hope for the best now.
It seemed to him now that Fute had done nothing but get hurt since he had been back with Rochir. It weighed heavily on his mind and his heart as he stared down at the spotted male. Rochir tended to act irrationally, and often caused trouble for himself these days. He didn't want the same for Fute, but he wouldn't leave his side for anything, unless Fute told him outright to get lost.
The screams grew deafeningly louder in Mingans ears as he rushed across the barren earth, his heart pounded and burned in his chest, his paws bled from the hot ash and jagged rock he travelled over. His side and hip still bled, adding to a hot trail that seemed to only attract the voices closer to him. Even if he had seen the deep gourge ahead, he wouldn't have been able to stop. In one swift movement the old wolf flung himself airborne into the abyss...

It was all the male could do to keep himself from lashing forward with a thundering weight and demolishing any trace of this heathen from the territory. However, there was a wolf's life at stake, and by all means, if he could prove to be of any assistance, he was welcomed to stay. The yellow male did what he could to keep his mouth from opening further anymore, only merely snorting at the maned one's response. Their wit levels seemed to be matched evenly, and thus the two of them would clash like fire and water themselves. "Hrm. Come on fella." Helaku kneeled down and lifted the spotted one up onto his back, then proceeded to turn and walk away a few steps. The red nuisance would probably burst after him, but little did he realize that he was trying to help Fute; not hurt him. "Don't worry your sarcastic little head either, Rochir. I'm not taking him far, and I don't plan on hurting him. I want to help him, if anything." His voice trailed into the distance with his last words, as did his very existence in sight.

That ********. Rochir had thought about just taking Fute away, but he couldn't leave Mingan. That damn wolf would probably eat him. But now the yellow wolf had taken his Fute. " 'Ey yeh git, whur d'ye think yir goin??" he stumbled forward, meaning to take a good size chunk out of the weighed down wolf, but decided against it. Instead he did the same for Mingan, hauling the older lighter weighted wolf onto his back. He'd follow this stupid animal until it stopped, hoping the yellow wolf would drop dead under the heat and weight all the time they walked. He wished he was bigger.. it hurt his heart that he couldn't even drag Fute anywhere because the spotted male was so much bigger than he was. He did his best to keep himself calm, seeing Fute's vulnerable body slung over an enemy's back brought his rage curdling in his through, leaving a bad acidic taste in his mouth. If the two were alone and the yellow wolf dared turn his back on Rochir, he would be dead, but for now he would just follow and wait.
There was nothing to be heard now but mournful howling as the grey pelt plummeted downwards. The spirits still swirled around him, bleeding all light from his surroundins. Wind lashed at his face and eyes as tears spilled back. There was nothing he could do now.. nothing but fall. He wondered if it would hurt, hitting the ground at terminal velocity. He had never fallen from any height a day in his life, and never so much as had to jump down from a height. It was odd, he figured.. just falling so far. It was almost as thought he wasn't falling so much as the scenery around him was moving up and away.. and he was just floating safely. The air hitting his face angrily would say differently, but it could be all in his head.

His forward march didn't last two seconds before sight was caught of the stubborn red male following him from behind, the old one plunged atop his shoulders as well. Who did he think he was again? Futile. That's what his attempts would be. A snicker came from the yellow male's maw as he turned his head back over his shoulder and stopped for a split second. If the other one wanted to follow him, he'd have to pay the consequences. "No use following me." he called back calmly. The simplest solution to this situation would be to outrun him. Lose him, and/or trick him like he'd done the pathetic beast of the forestry a while ago. Then again, Fute was much heavier than the older male, and granted he himself was much larger and stronger in size and strength, the task would prove challenging. To a certain extent.
Nomatter, it was something he felt he must do. There was obviously no way either of them would wake up when all four of them were together. It'd be preposterous, the thought! Maybe they didn't even wish to wake up. He wouldn't have wanted to either, what with imbeciles like Rochir around. Haha. He made himself laugh at the thought as he dashed off, all fours padding against the forest floor like a thousand hooves of stampeding racing. Quick and swift; that's all it'd take being to fool this dimwit trailing behind him. Water began to clog the cave walls, and suddenly a burst of light shot through the area, just as the waves came crashing into Fute like the winds of a hurricane, sending him weaving and bobbing uncontrollably at the surface. "Help! I can't!" His breaths were stopped as his head ducked underwater multiple times, the current speedily carrying him to what seemed to be an edge up ahead. "Oh no!" Coughs and sputters emitted as the edge made its way closer and closer upon him, until at once his helpless limbs were dragged off into the abyss. The bottomless pit seemed endless. Who knew what he was in for now...
