I personally dont like slivers and wont ever use them. I see where they can be usefull since they help each other out a lot. The way to beat them is to have the element of speed on your side and able to wipe the board clean of them before they massively build into a invincible army.

When done right, slivers are just plain broken! whee One of your best bets, if you're going the 5 color route is to use that one green spell out of Fifth Dawn. I forget what it's called, but it's 3G, and it gives you one each of all 5 colors. 3nodding Ah, nostalgia! Whenever Tempest first came out, I promptly got the Sliver pre-con, as well as the Swarm for the 4x Muscle Slivers, and managed to get a blue/black/green going. I also hear that there's a white sliver in Legions that gives them all spirit link. I also had the guy that gives them trample, and between them, I had a monster army of trampling, regenerating, flying aliens! whee

I've found five colour slivers can work well enough in casual, provided you use fertile grounds and the like. However, I'd call goblins as a far more broken creature type. I don't see any slivers getting banned, or dominating extended.

If slivers are broken, you could say the same about Elves.

You know what could be interesting?
A deck composed entirely of Genjus. And Crucible of worlds.
But mainly Genjus.
... I don't think it would work very well, though. [/offtopic]

However, on the minus side, it'd be uber expensive to build. eek $_$

slivers do have great synergies, but in the experence ive had with sliver decks the hardest part it gettting the right amount of each color lands...ive found that tailsmen work best 4 this. but that aside, slives get eaten pretty easily by quite a few decks...

japoniano Envoy of Chaos Habuki Arcana Kuragari 5 color sliver decks are usually slow unless someone figures out how to make them able to standup for themselves. True, three colors should be enough for a sliver deck. White, red and black is enough for a good sliver deck but, everyone wants to use the Overlord and a Imagecrafter... I'd rahter Use the Queen, and my Muscle Slivers thanks..
