Ritsuki glanced at the mirror once more, though nothing was showing on it. She'd have to figure out what it did later. For some reason, she had the feeling that no one would know what it did. The only way to find out was to try it. She could probably find a safe place somewhere. With any luck, it wouldn't do anything that bad. And if it did, it couldn't do much in the middle of the forest. But she'd have to be prepared for anything, just in case.
She was startled by the sudden noise. She didn't know there was a child in the house, let alone a sleeping one. She nodded to Sethos as he spoke. She had almost grabbed on to the seat at the outburst, though she'd managed to stay in the same position. She never knew Sethos had a brother.... But it looked like he'd been there for a little while.

Sethos returned to the room only moments later, holding a small, wiggling toddler in his arms. The young boy had black skin, which contrasted starkly with his blue hair and large, awkward looking blue wings. Sussare had diminished in size, and curled herself around the young boy's waist. There was a strange softness to Sethos's expression as he held the young child, once again taking his seat. It seemed the desert prince had a heart, perhaps.
"My younger sibling, Autsu." He explained, by way of introduction. Autsu, despite his apparent hysteria earlier, seemed sleepy and calm in the sand fae's arms, his small hands stroaking Sussare.
A breath. A pause. Time to get to the heart of matters. "We have families now, in our new lives. Perhaps not the familes we were born to, too long ago to reach for, but families none the less." A glance down at the still half slumbering boy before he continued. "Once, we were of the courts. Perhaps, now that we have found them, we will be again. But they have their loyalties and battles, dark and light, Seelie and Unseelie. And we have ours."
A pause then, to let them consider what he'd said so far. "Maybe our paths differ. Should we choose the courts, I do not know that we will all make the same decisions. So I thought, perhaps, it was important to establish... something. An alliance of mutual support. "
There, he'd said his part. He fell quiet, awaiting a response.

"He's so cute, Sethos."
Ritsuki looked back up at the sand-colored fae with a bright smile. She would have yelled, but decided that it was better to not disturb the yound boy too much. The toddler was adorable. She couldn't imagine how something so small and calm could be the cause of the screaming she'd heard just moments ago.
Her smile dimmed a little, though it didn't completely fade. A hint of it stayed on her face. She thought back to the past -what she could remember, anyway. Though she didn't have everything she needed completely understand what had happened, she knew that the present was more important.
"That'd be...Great."

"It is good that you both agree. Perhaps, later, the younger fae might join us as well. My hope is to make such bonds only with those that are worthy of such trust. We will need this, I think, in time." He paused, setting Autsu down. The young boy fluttered his oversized wings awkwardly, tottering a bit on his feet before finding his balance, and taking unsteady steps toward the kitchen.
"Pay, Bro?" The young child asked, looking up at Sethos with impatience in his eyes. "Suss pay too?"
"Soon, younger brother." Watching the boy continue to move in one direction, Sethos brushed his fingers lightly over Sussare.
Feed him?
Indeed. But as he said. Later, we three play. Her voice had a hint of impatience in it.
Later. Sussare streched, seeming to grow again, sand and the scent of desert flowers. Where the snake had been, a woman stood, still coloured the same, and obviously not human... though the source of strangeness was hard to pinpoint. Sweeping young Autsu into her arms, she disappeared into the kitchen.
Turning back to his guests, Sethos almost seemed to smile. Almost. "An Oath then. Under Lady's sight, I offer you both my loyalty and support. When trouble finds you, you may call for my aid. When you seek strength, I will lend my own. None shall turn me from your side. Through this life. Through the next." There was power in his words, the time fae making an oath to last through shifting years.
He didn't expect the same words back of course. It was unlikely they followed the same goddess he did. But it was she that had set him on this course.

"It looks like some of the younger fae are more than trustworthy. Though it is not really my decision. Not completely, anyway. But I think this will work out better than even what we hope."
It was a little out of her character to think so much, though her optimism was still shining brightly. Even if she didn't think or understand as much as the other two, she was still Ritsuki. Her presence was there, and even if it was all she could do, she'd do the best she could. She watched as the small child made his way toward the kitchen. He was so young, and he was so cute! She loved that about them. So innocent, and even if they really weren't the kindest child, they still had the look of pureness on their faces.
She should have been suprised by the sudden appearance of the woman where the snake had been. But she had seen it before, so it wasn't as amazing as the first time she had seen it.
"I swear to you both that I shall do everything I can in order to help you. No matter where we may be, if either are in need of aid, I shall be there. Just ask and I will do whatever is within my power to do. Anything and everything, if necessary."
