Hallows_Eve Who voted for Mustaine over Kirk and Burton? eek Anyways, I voted Cliff Burton (RIP). He's a godly bassist, I seriously doubt Metallica woulda sold out if he hadn't died. AJ4A woulda been much better with burton. He was the most determined member of Metallica, he was their drive for success. Of every musician in the realm of metal, I've always had the most respect for Cliff Burton (Although, Roger Patterson comes very close). I doubt that you are right, you know that Cliff mentioned a few times that Metallica surley woul release something "softer" and more mainstream like? O.o

Hetfield, he has an awsome voice, it can be deep and harsh and then soft and mellow, yet still deep.

stratomaster as a person, i vote lars ulrich, his speeches are awesome and inspirational. i said this earlier, but james hetfeild is the most important musically. He IS metallica.......

I picked Cliff because he got me into playing bass. I heard the way he palyed and I'm like 'This is what I'm gonan do' and that's what I did. He is the best bass player Metallica ever had. There are others out there that surpass his skills, but he was great

Will does not vote because there shouldn't be any competition between band-mates (says the man who asked who was the better guitarist ^^; ) but mostly so that they don't break up. otherwise what will probabally happen is that someone (probabally either James or Lars) will sue all the other members for rights to songs. then we'll have a Pink Floyd v. Roger Waters situation. I'm all about keeping things at a level playing field. otherwise your d**k.
