I do think that things changed a bit when council decided to make changes on the activities such as RPing and food fights.
First of all, the food fights wern't fun anymore because they were happening every day and we got several complaints about it.
Second, we got even more complaints about the RPing. I for one, don't like it because I can't do it. I'm not comfortable with it and being around it give me great anxiety because I don't know how to respond.
But, we can't please everyone. Also, things changed because TNT changed the rules which makes it really hard to have fun things for the members to do.

Rue, my comments were not intended to put you in a spot to defend any of the changes made on Neo. I understand the reasons behind a lot of them...

hmm, maybe i'm not so bothered about not visiting the neo board then, if things are a bit unruly there at the moment.
What's going on with the food fights then? are newbies running amok?i used to enjoy FFF when i was at home and able to participate, but it is silly if people do it all the time, oh well, these things generally resolve themselves sooner or later 3nodding

No no no, it's only permitted on Fridays. That's why it was moved to Fridays only. Some Fridays there are more participants than others but it's still a good time.

I think its got more to do with the way the Neo board is layed out. If they had the same sort of setup as they do here then it would be much easier for people to read and keep up with. They would also be able to avoid the things they don't like. smile
I've seen you do a bit of RP'ing now and again Ms Rue. wink But the good thing about it is that no matter how you reply, you can get included in it. smile You just post away as normal. smile
Me, I'm a little mad. wink With a huge imagination and nowhere to utilise it. So it comes out on here.
Btw - If I ever make anyone feel uncomfortable here - then PLEASE mail me! I would rather people came to me in the first instance than go to council. biggrin

But as everyone here prob knows I'm not on the Neo couch, for reasons that don't need to be rehashed just now. smile So I can't really comment on the members just now. smile
I like it here. smile Everyone is fun to chat to and while it can be quite quiet now and again, when there are people around its FAB! smile

That bugs!!! scream I so want to send them a mail about how it would work better if they didn't make so many things against the rules JUST IN CASE it could be turned into a scam. Why not just deal with the actual scams, and leave the rest of us to have our fun and games and people participate at their own risks? I mean.. TRIVIA? How could that POSSIBLY be turned into a scam as long as it's not pay to play? And what gets me is that they say in the terms that the one main guild account is allowed to have a shop. So they recognize that it needs funds for something, but for what? Everything's against the rules! *rant, stomp, rampage, knock over chairs* And that would be cool if the guild boards were made into threads like this. Then there could be a thread for guid announcements, one for food fights, one for role play, one for talking about neo stuff, etc, etc, and it wouldn't all be in the same place.

We've said all this before though haven't we? i can't see it happening or they'd surely have made changes by now, like when the guilds were all down for over a week last year, but we can always live in hope.. 3nodding

I totally agree fawN. They have threads in the neoboards, why can't they for guilds. I know they arn't quite the same but you still can pick and choose what you want to read and not read.
I say write your letter to TNT. I have such a way with words and I know we sort of talked about that on the council yahoo group. The worst that can happen is nothing at all right?
Lass, I wish I had a quarter of the RP talent you do. But alass, I don't.

roocee Lass, I wish I had a quarter of the RP talent you do. But alass, I don't. Lol. Sometimes its a curse. wink Plus I'm a bit eccentric and dramatic in RL too. I like reading fantasy books and putting myself in the story with people I know as the characters and then seeing them play it out as I read the book. I really miss being in a dramatic society! I think I'm going to kidnap the wife of the guy I work with and we are both going to go join something, somewhere! biggrin
