I'm always in the middle of a bunch of different books. I usually have a book for every room of the house that I randomly pick up whenever I happen to sit next to it, and I always have a least one book in my backpack for reading while on the bus or standing in line.
For me it's more important to always have something for my mind to do than to keep one story line straight (although, I've never had a problem of remembering what happening in what story...yet, I guess.)

+~+ If you read this line, remember not the hand that wrote it...+~+ Heh heh, I have the habit of reading 3-4 books at one time. ^^; Oddly enough, I never seem to have much problems with mixing up the stories in my mind.

I'm a chronic multiple book reader. I love to read so much that I can't stand just one flavour I want more!
But what is worse, I'm a chronic multiple book writer! I have a habit of starting work on one novel and then starting work on another. I've learned to just go with the flow and write what comes. But sometimes it gets in the way.
But I love my books, but those I've written and those I read!

Ha, I'm doing it right now, actually. ^^; I try to focus on one book at a time, but I just can't do it. So much to read, so little time!!

I don't like reading another book while already reading another, it just sorta feels like you're betraying the first book sweatdrop

Rogue Specter I don't like reading another book while already reading another, it just sorta feels like you're betraying the first book sweatdrop I can understand that point of view. That's how I feel about "dog-earing" pages.

I can read 5-6 books at once if I want. But I don't, just because it takes me longer to finish them all then if I just read one. I've learned that from experience.

oh man I read numerous books at the same time just out of habit. I have a book in every bag, ever place in my house etc. It's just the way I am, it isn't because I'm changing styles it's just because I tend to like numerous things at the same time. It seems that I need to do multiple things to be in focus with one thing.

I almost always read more than one book at once, and I think I've done as many as eight at a time, although not often. I also reread a lot, so sometimes I'll be reading one new book and one book I've read before, so that helps me keep the plots straight.

When I got the new Harry Potter book I was stillreadling the previous one and I just ahd to fish before reading the new one, even though I was just dieing to read the new one. And with the previous book, I had already read it. The only way I go past this is if one of the books is for a class, like in lit we were reading Frankenstien and I was reading something else on my own time. 3nodding Or as always a gov't or history book don't count in my book. rolleyes

I do the exact same thing. I read/buy/borrow books on impulse, and usually, whenever I feel like reading, I'll pick up and start reading. This is bad, cause other library books I should read are long overdue, or something.

+~+ If you read this line, remember not the hand that wrote it...+~+ Oh dear lord, yes. Half the time I find myself reading 5 books at once. @___@ I try and keep the genres VERY different though, so I don't confuse the storylines.

I usually read three or more books at a time. This is due to my bad habit of putting something down and then forgetting where it is. So of course I have to read something else and then I find the one I lost. This is usually very funny for anyone who's watching me at the time.
