I use the Rider Waite deck, for most of my readings. I never ask the questioner to tell me their question because I feel it will interfere with my reading. I use to own the Dragon Tarot deck which is a beautiful deck, but I gave it to one of my friend.

Well, there's also the question of what style of format you use, each slightly different. Even the most primary and basic style has variances of the same essential thing; using three cards to foretell what has happened in the past, what's happening in the present, and what will happen in the future. After this, then other styles delve deeper into things, foretelling multiple events. Two years ago, at the Taste of Chicago, I had my fortune read that used what actually ended up being a very accurate style, that dealt out all the cards for the telling.

I'm really into divination, but havn't been able to get my hands on some tarot cards. (my parents forbide them, aginst our religion they say, but why can't I do both)

Well I can final get some when my Art club goes on a field trip to the mall.

What I want to know is:
What are you experinces with tarot cards
and
Which (in your opion) is the best deck to use. ( realy confused with that one. everyone say to follow my feeling and chose the one that speaks to me.) <-----((That's great edvice))

I have over 30 different Decks, mostly Tarot, but some Oracle, as well. I was heavily into collecting them for years. I did so mostly for the art, and used some more than others, but I did try them all at least once. Some did speak to me more than others, and some spoke to me for a while, then stopped. It depended where I was in my spiritual development.

The deck that most people start out with, and the deck most people talk about the symbolism of, is the Rider-Waite or one of it's "clones." It is the most common for a reason, and has so many clones for a reason. It has been around the longest of the modern decks and has the most universal symbolism. Most books you will find explaining the Tarot use it as their example. It is an excellent starting point.

But, as with all things, keep your mind open. Another deck may speak to you. If it does, go with it.

Look at as many decks as possible. There are may sites out there that review decks. Here is the most popular, and the one I have used most. And Here is one of the best books around on the Tarot and all its meanings and corrospondences.

Good luck with your Tarot adventure.

I've noticed that as well.

Even specific spreads, such as the traditional 10 card celtic cross, have numerous variations. For example, when doing celtic cross readings, I do the central two central cards, and then move into the bottom card of the cross part, whereas a friend of mine who reads tarot usually does the card furthest to the left after reading the two center cards.
