The Plan "B" pill isn't an abortion. It's an extra dose of BC to keep the egg from being fertilized or implanted in the first place. A woman isn't pregnant until the fertilized egg is implanted and begins to multiply. So really, it's just flushing out another egg.

Oops! I didn't make myself clear. What I was saying is that I don't mind girls using this AND I don't mind girls getting an abortion.

... How is it that as a Canadian-born teenager who's gone in to get it prescribed before I never heard about not needing a prescription for it until now?

I'm in shock, so I might not be able to come up with much in the ways of pros, cons, risks, and opinions, but I'll try anyway.

Pros? It can be a pain to try to set an appointment to get a prescription to begin with. And in my case, sometimes you lose the paper. ( sweatdrop )

Cons? People could end up misusing them?

Risks? Same as there's always been.
