Vivina noticed that she made Anoki look odd and apologized. "Whoops! Sorry, I got carried away a bit. I always do when I talk about something interesting that comes to mind." She continued to bury her head deeper into her scarf and hid a grin. She looked back at Nexen and still couldn't figure out a single word she says. She then poked Laial "Can you understand her? I've never heard anything like that before..."

Daniel finished scribbling some notes and looked up. It seems the kids were socializing quite well. He saw that he could wait a bit longer before proceding to arts and crafts. He planned to make collages for their parents to see and after cleaning up, it would be snack time. He smiled and watched everyone from his desk.

Nexen nodded, then stood up and ran her fingers over Anoki's curly horn...things. They were hard, and she knocked on one to see that it was solid.

Laial sighed and clasped his hands against his 'hat'. Seh was such an idiot.

Scheu cocked his head and asked Dan, "What are you planning for the children to do, if I may ask?" He couldn't exactly read the clipboard.

Wincing a little as Nexen rapped his horns, Anoki tried to duck under to avoid further knocking. "P-please d-d-don't," he almost whined. He had no idea what she was trying to do, but she wasn't invited, and that didn't feel nice at all!

An excuse was quickly found. "W-what're they d-doing," he queried hurriedly, pointing to the adults, and feeling a twinge of pain. Both of THEIR adults were still around. "Y-your big p-person's g-gonna do s-stuff?"

Fortunetly, Laial had decided to peel Nexen off and place her as far away from them as possible. His tentecles weren't that long, of course, but ti was good enough. He turned around just in time to hear the question. "Huh? Oh, Scheu? I dunno..." Laial shrugged. "Maji wa' too busy to drop us off..." he trailed off, almost sadly.

Nexen resisted biting Laial again. Instead, she looked towards the adults only to be picked up by Scheu and carried to an art room. Her ears twitched and she replied, "Viele Bild."

Laial had followed the adult and Scheu into the large room. When asked what a collage was, he merely shrugged, but when Nexen said... "Many pictures. Is that right?" it made sense to him.

Daniel grinned as everyone settled in. "Well it seems Nexen knows, 'cept I don't speak German at all." He laughed hesitantly and shrugged. "Laial, do you mind translating Nexen for everyone who don't know German? I won't ask all the time, hopefully." Grabbing an example collage, he showed it to everyone. "A collage is a collection of pictures and or words put together to express what the maker wants. It can be randomly thrown pictures and words on paper, or it could be the expression of what you like or hate. I have plenty of newspapers and magazines to find and cut pictures out of. We won't be usung glue bottles for clean up reasons. Instead, we're using glue sticks. These won't make a big mess of things too much if you use them right." He chuckled at Anoki's question. "Yes, if you don't want to find and cut out pictures of your own, you can draw some and use them."

Vivina instantly grabbed a pink sheet of paper and a few crayons. She also grabbed one of the many newspapers looking for something that catches her attention. Not finding anything, she decided to draw her own pictures. She thought that her collage will be of everyone here at the center and started to draw Anoki. She looked over at him and carefully drew a circle for a head and a shape that looked like arms and legs on a body. Adding clothes, she erased several times to get the sling the way she wanted it to look like and went on with the horns and facial details. After she was done, she drew a large circle and with stripes. She added a body attatched to the circle and made it look like Laial. She added tentacles and decided to label everything. She finished the two and drew herself, Scheu, Nexen, and Dan as well. She finished and started to color. This will be the center picture. She'll add more pictures around it, much like a frame. She has seen similar things around Et's house. They were called wreaths or something, except those had a ribbon in the center, not a picture. Plus those were spiky and smell funny. Smiling, she looked over at what everyone else was doing from time to time.

Oh, so they were cutting up pictures instead of making them. That sounded fun... except for the cutting part. Maybe he could draw instead. But then the big person might tell Mama Ray that he wasn't doing what he was supposed to do, and that meant no dessert. Even though Daniel had said it was okay, Anoki wanted to make sure he followed the instructions exactly. He could do it!

There were lots of pretty pictures. Anoki flipped through, admiring them but not choosing any yet. Then he spotted one of a tall mountain in what might have been a travel magazine. Perfect! Eyeing the scissors nervously, he cast them aside, instead choosing to rip the paper into the shape he wanted. It was messier, but safer. As for glue sticks they would be fine, right?

Mostly. There were small clumps of glue in his fuzzy hands, but the mountain stuck to the blue sheet of paper he found, that looked like the sky. Next he ripped up white paper for clouds, and some green and brown for trees. He grinned; the picture actually looked nice!

Once he was nearly finished he leaned over to look at what the others were doing. Laial didn't seem done yet, but Vivina was doing something pretty. There were people on her picture, and one of them looked familiar. Looking closer, Anoki blushed a little, happily. Was that him?

Laial 'hmphed' at the 'smart' remark and continued to page through the magazines. He was trying to find one that had a mid-ocean ridge in one, but all he saw was stuff like reefs with colorful fish in them. Not that he didn't like colorful fish in reefs, but half of him was not a colorful fish that belonged in a reef. His ears twitched at the noise, but soon relized that it wasn't directed at him and ignored it.

However, the voice's idea... He grabbed a peice of paper and a pencil to draw. He couldn't find any picture, so he would make his own!

Scheu chucked lightly as he saw Nexen's ears twitch. "Well," he started, handing the cut-out desert to Nexen, "she certanly is...interesting." Yes, perhaps taht was the best way to put it. "But I'm sure that the ibex has already figuerd that out."

Nexen took the picture, another magazine, and a piece of constructon paper to a corner of the room. Glancing around to make sure no one was watching, she removed an exacto-knife from her shoulder bag. Placing the picture from the magazine on top of the desert, she began to trace with the knife.
