((again really sorry guys! between my cat getting sick and work and being stressed out I'v just not even rpd for days I hope you'll forgive me))
The question, how many? How many were there. He had to count them in his mind his tongue sticking out a little as he did "Well theres Harabu, he's sort of like my son, my prodgeny," he smirked at the thought, the boy was learning, even if he was very, stupid, at least in the salmon tainted males eyes. "There is my mate Afu and about half a dozen others inclueding your selves of course." He smiled in a sickly sweet manner "We are a small pride but we will grow." He smirked, watching the two females, he could certainly see them bareing cubs to his pride in the future, breeding stock and huntresses, females were so easy to manipulate. "I though i had mentioned my name? I am Nyekundu, Lord Nyekundu of the Mtamani pride" He smirks, the prides name had been chosen by himself. It was true to form, the pride of ambition, he had it in reems.

"So there are about nine in your pride including, us and yourself?" It had taken the white lioness a minute to do the simple math in her head. Malika was excited to be joining a pride, some place she could call home in a sense, after all she didn't have a home or family. Her innocence left her extremely excited about going to Nyekundu's home and pride.
"It is a pleasure to meet you Kichea, and you Lord Nyekundu" She wasn't sure if she was supposed to say Lord, but just to be safe she included it. "My name is Malika'Eusi." When she heard the name of the pride it brought a smile to her face.

A small, growing pride doesn't sound half bad... More like a close knit family that way right?
"How much further is the Mtamani lands?" Kichea let the name roll off of her tongue. It was, after all, very nice to have a pride. It made her feel stronger and more courageous. She walked though the shaded jungle holding her head a bit higher than before, feeling more proud of who she was. Kichea of the Mtamani pride. Her faith in Nyekundu was growing stronger each stride they took through the jungle, hiding any doubts she ever had of him. How could she have ever even thought about going the other way, he was nothing like the God of Conflict.

Nyekundu looked back at the two, a further smile lifted his lips his tail flickering a little "We must rest at the far end of the jungle, then we will cross the desert tomorrow evening. My home resides accross the white sands , it is very beautiful an oasis in the center of all that dry shining beauty. It is a very wonderful place." He smirked, leading on the dappled shade playing over his coat. He couldn't help but think that Afu would be proud of him for these two older femmes. They could certainly hunt better in the environment they were heading for. He would puurr if only he could.
The day wore on and as the sun hit it's zenith thy came to the edge of the jungle, a revene opened before them, though it was narrow in places and easy enough to jump accross, a cub could make it easily. He paused and lay in the shade of the trees, allowing the sun to play it's shadowy triks on his coat. he looked pleased, content even that he was here. "Rest now, we will start our way back to my home when the sun starts to set. It is quite far, you must be brave and stay close, I would not want to loose you." It certainlly wouldn't please Afu if he didn't return with the females he had convinced. He must make sure they were safe.

Malika followed Nyekundu happily, excited that she was finally going to have a place to call home. She was also excited about the possibility of making friends that wouldn't disappear on her.
Glancing back and forth from her compainions she grinned to herself. When Nyekundu stopped she was slightly disapppointed but decided to do what he thought was best. "As you wish."

Kichea tried to hide her anticipataion but it was hard to show no excitment at all. Shadows of the trees above them danced on her black and bronze coat as she followed Nyekundu obediently. The last thing she wanted to do was loose them and the chance of having a pride to call home.
She was happy once they finally came to a resting place. Never having walked that far through the dense jungle was exausting. Jumping over vines and moving through thick brush was alot harder than walking through the savvanah grasses she was used to.
With a slow movement she padded over next to a tree and flopped onto the ground letting her body go limp. Her eyes slowly started to close but then she quickly opened them again. What if they leave while I sleep?! She tried her best to stay awake but it was only a matter of moments before she was completely out.

Finally the sun set upon the horizon. Nyekundu was already awake, he had been watching the two females for an hour or more, watching them doze. Now he had to awaken them and pull them accross the desert. It was a hard task. The desert was no place to get lost in. Getting to his foot paws he touched each female in turn upon the shoulder"It's time" he whispers his voice gruff as he awaited them to get to their feet before stepping out on to the rapidly cooling sands. the desert was cold at night, colder than any where the sky sucking the heat from the usually blistering hot sands. By midnight there would be a film opf ice upon the white dands they must travel throught he cold though before the sun rose tomorrow, the sun was far more deadly than a little chill.

Not knowing that she had dozed off waiting for the time to leave again she rolled over when he nudged her. Her eyes fluttered open at her actions and a yawn escaped her maw as she rose to her paws. It took the female a few moments to register what he had just said.
"Its time?" She repeated still somewhat sleepy. Blinking Malika shook the sleepiness away. "Ready whenever you are." She spoke softly looking towards the ground

She rolled over as he pawed her in the shoulder ready to fall back asleep but, her mind was now awake and it only took her a moment or two of laying there to realize where she was and what was going on. Slowly she got to her feet and stretched out her fore legs with a yawn, letting each nail grip the earth as she did so.
Finnally bringing herself together again she looked out towards where she believed the dessert to be. It was dark and the jungle was dense so she couldn't see very far. To tell you the truth she wasn't even sure if she had the right idea of the dessert. After all it would be her first time even coming near it. "I'm ready." She looked at Nyekundu and Malika and gave a small smile before waiting for more directions from Nyekundu.

The large male looked back at the two as the moon rose highlighting the desert. He knew the way only because of direction. He knew it was easy to get lost out here, thats why it was his strong hold. "Stay close" he said again leading the way off in to the deserts sands his tail flickering. He glanced back occasionally, watching his direction and the moons movements. They had to be in before sunrise, they would be he hoped, he was moving them at a fair pace.
"We have to keep moving, we can't rest until we getthere if we are caught out heer when the sun rises it will be disaster" he stated simply trying not to sound to grave simply concerend for their well being.
The moon would reach it's zenith before the oasis came in to sight, it's huge old crumbled buildings rising in the distance the moon kissing the old white and grey bricks and morter. He smiled, nearlly home. Afu would be pleased he was sure, what a triumph, he had done as she asked, she would definately be pleased with him.

The white lioness was still a bit groggy from the little sleep she got. Determined to not let it show she smiled cheerfully at Nyekundu and Kichea. Stretching out her limbs Malika remianed standing as she asked "Shall we go then?"
Her voice was in soft tones so she didn't offend either of them. "If we wish to avoid the sun then should we begin on our way now?" Malika had once found herself in the desert with another cub for a short while after that she didn't remember much since it seemed like such a long time ago when it wasn't that long ago at all.

It felt strange walking across the sands. The cool, smooth dust moved easily beneath her paws. Kichea kept obediently close to Nyek. Getting lost out there looked quiet easy seeing that there wasn't much but hills of the fair colored sand.
She stayed silent for most of the trip, that was until she could see the oasis. There in the distance she could see the huge, old bulidings under the moons bright light. "Is that the oasis..." She whispered almost at a loss with words. Her mind started racing with excitment and she moved quickly up next to Nyek wanting to get there as soon as she could so that she could see her new pride.

The large male nodded "Yes, that is my home, it is a most wonderous plac" he almost puurred, if that were possible for him. Lifting his black tipped toes he grinned "Come girls I will race you" he laughed, a moment of hilarity for the salmon tainted male. He was in high spirits, very high spirits in fact. With the arrival of these two females he was surely to be blessed.
It was only a short run to the oasis and their paws first touched old cobbles, worn and grassy from age. Nyek smiled, looking back at the two females, "welcome home" he whispered. "I will show you wheer you can sleep tonight, don't wander too far, and try not to go back on to the desert. it is a dangerous place unless you know where you're going."

"It is absolutely stunning." Malika whispered in awe of the beauty before her. It took her a minute to realize what he had said but when she did she did not hesitate to race after him. When they came to a stop laughter escaped the normally shy lioness.
"Home..." She muttered happily. "Finally." A smile broke out on the white females maw as she looked over at Kichea. Turning to Nyek she said "Lead the way..."

Kichea raced along behind Nyek to the oasis. For the first time in quiet a while a true smile spread across her face. Her sprits soared high and she giggled along with them, as her paws slipped across the white sands to her new beautiful home.
She slowed with both of them as they reached it and could walk on the stone path. Kichea smiled back at Malika as she walked closely behind the salmon tainted male. Yes finally... Kichea agreed nodding her head but did not speak. For this was the first time she could have a true home and family. What more could she want ever want... It was perfection.
