She laughed, "Well we will see won't we." She smirked a little and got up skipping around in front of him. "Children don't normally get dogs... I am an exception!" She stuck her tounge out at him and laughed. She was about to mimic the white guy but then thought that she would do that later once she had her own pup and could show off to this boy first. She then turned to the white man. "Well, If you only get one pup, its mine, I need it for my studies, thats what I told the chief and he agreed so there." She smiled and continued to skip around happily. The hunt was going to be soon and she was going to get a pup!

"Monkey hands!?" Asad repeated, storming his way over to the pale man, "Of everyone here you're making fun of me! Oh that's nice." He smirked then lunged at Bat, throwing his arms around the man's legs and began tugging in an attempt to pull his feet from under him, "You'll.....GGRRRAAA... pay for that white-face!"

Bat scowls at Mbeles skipping. Though they're both pains in the tail, this girl outstrips any other girl child he's encoutered in sheer skill at being a hellion, and worse, because some fool thought the miniature snake oil salesman had a gift, they let her get away with it. Someone might well die someday because of one of her little whims and tantrums, but damned if it was gonna be him...Seer gifts. Pah. No such damn thing... "Eh?OOF!" Gettoff me you little ground ape!" He snarls, trying to shove Asad off his leg with a scowl, shuffling sideways. "Tell this varmit he aint huntin' shite with my boot up his arse!" He demands, not quite sure how to translate that particular phrase and too distracted to puzzle it out. Snick and Snap perk their ears with a deep grumble in their barrel chests, but don't move forward. They've seen this particular performance before.

"GROUND APE?!" Asad roared, looking up to the man just a moment before biting at his leg. He knew he'd not bring the man down simply by trying to pull his legs- he tried already... or jumping at him from a rock, latching onto his legs, or even charging from a distance- all had failed but he had never tried the biting approach. It was a bit childish but so was the white man's name calling and Asad simply wouldn't stand for such an insult.

"YEOW!" Bat roars himself, giving up trying to pry him off for one good hard cuff at the boys head. "Thats just about enough from you!" He snarls, outraged and hurting. "You Gawdamned ingrate!" The last two words are in english, but it's still pretty clear he's upset. "Next time you get into a tight spot I'm letting you get eaten!"

"OW OW OW!" Asad stumbled back, falling on his rump as he released the man's leg to rub at the now ringing and throbbing ear, "That wasn't very nice- you started it...", he grumbled, glaring over to the girl in case she dared to make fun of the situation. He hated being laughed at and would often get into little fights with any of the other children that tried- it resulted in a black eye or a large bunch of bruises from time to time but there were at least some children that thought twice about it.
"I was playing you nit." He grumbled over to Bat, picking himself up once again as if nothing had happened though by the slight sway he was still phased by the cuff to the ear.

"You BIT me." Bat points out, toweringly upset by this fact. "I don't even let my dogs do that." He grumps, folding his arms across his chest, trying not to rub the bite mark, which trobs of it's own accord. Damn it had better not be bleeding..."You wanna play you don't damned sink teeth in me! Damn! Don't you know better?

"You whine as much as a girl that just got tipped into the river." He rolled his eyes, folding his own arms accross his chest. In this matter he REFUSED to be the one to apologize first, "I didn't bite -that- hard you know.. you're just doing it to make me feel bad."

"You sayin' you shouldn't?" Bat growled, jaw set and eyes narrowed. "I don't much take to having someone sink teeth in me. You want to be a man so much, maybe you better start acting like one. We got a hunt to be on today, and you pull that out there..." He gestures to the grasslands. "You're gonna get worse than a slap on the ear."

The girl smiled at the little fight, the white man did seem to say alot to get him into trouble. "You really shouldn't insult him. He could be alot higher in rank then you one day and then, erm, lets see, he could kick your arse!" She laughed and played with her curly locks of hair. She would stick up for the village boy here, however much fun it was to annoy him. There was a horrid chance she would be made to marry him one day, and she couldn't see herself marrying the white guy, he wouldn't want her anyway, luckily!

"Yeah I got an idea bout that, Sunshine..." Bat snorts. "We'll trot you over to where the rail works is and you can explain to them folks how high and mighty you are." He growls, checking his cigarette again. "But he won't be kicking my tail for some ways yet. And sure as hell won't if he gets into another fix with a hyena..." He growls around the cigarette, sharply dented by his teeth, as he puts it back, and hikes the sleeve of his dust covered shirt up above his elbow, to display the deep twisted scar there for emphasis. "Rank don't mean shite if all ya do is put your heel on all the people that got you there. Sorta like a snake...maybe snakes don't have no rank...but I sure wouldn't go slapping my foot on one to tell it how much mightier I was than it..." He says pointedly, eyeing her. "Steppin' on the people under you's pretty much the same way." Since he doesn't really consider himself part of the village, more like a chronic guest, he's never even had it enter his head that he might be presented with an 'marriage'. The idea slides past his world view completely.

(( Asad = not gettin' married to her blaugh ))
Asad snorted, averting his dark eyes from the scar. He remembered when it happened all too well still. The tribe wanted to put an end to a pack of hyenas that was responsable for killing their cattle time and again, most of the pack had been killed save for a few scattered females. One of them had been wounded enough to send her into a frenzy and she had come after Asad to take her revenge- thankfully the paleface was quicker than the dog had been and managed to drive her off. The boy wanted to apologize but he refused to verbally, the look he shot to Bat betrayed his apology well enough though with his back to the girl, she'd not catch it... having one person see it was bad enough.

Although, especially amoungst europeans, the Hyena has an notable reputation as a scavenger and nothing else, the truth was revealed in the strength of their jaws, and in their dire cleverness. Adept night hunters, he'd seen, once or twice, hyenas themselves bring down a kill, only to have it taken over by lions, bringing about the daytime scenario of the 'noble king of beasts' and his court ruling it up over a carcas, while the 'loathesome scavengers' waiting to get their kill back. Worse, their jaws were powerful enough that they could leave teeth marks even in hard steel, damned detrimental to any attempts to trap the things, and more than savage enough to have snapped his arm with that savage bite. He'd almost lost the arm, let alone the use of the hand, and was greatful to have it still, let alone his life. Maybe they weren't totaly scavengers, but it didn't make the wound any less likely to go septic, since they weren't too adverse to eating bad meat and...worse. His had, it hadn't helped. Still... He shoots Asad an only vaguely reproachful look and shoves his sleeve back down. "And he..." He gestures at Asad. "Knows a thing or two about huntin. You don't, sunshine. While we're handing out lectures, why don't you remember to be really thankful to whoever brings you that pup. Good lesson to learn since you seem to be about it." He snorts again, then whistles to Snick and Snap. "Lets go get ready." He gestures to Asad, then unsheaths his skinning knife and offers it to the boy. He can't exactly offer over his rifle or revolver, not having taught him to shoot, but a knife is a pretty universal skill, and the boy already knows how to use one for skinning things well enough. Snick and Snap woof, deeply, tails swooping back and forth again with interest as they seem to inquire if maybe, just maybe, the hunt might get on the road soon. "I'm just about done playing."

She chuckled, "Your a hunter I am not. Its your job to do what your told I dont have to be thankful for it." She smiled and then laughed. "I think I shall make sure the dogs are ok to take hunting as you men seem far too lazy to do such a thing!" With that she was off skipping back to where the dogs were kept. She needed to give them water and the scent of wild dogs before they set off.

((Hope this is still going on XD;; ))
Shifting suddenly to her right, Panya all but dropped the water she held in the make-shift container. The cooler liquid dipping over the side, half of it splashed onto her feet, leaving her toes covered in wet sands. Dark eyes becoming watery, she tried to compose what little water she had left before lifting the lighter 'bucket' so that she could carry it the rest of the way.
Her hair was short, unlike the others, for she kept it trim against her head, and all over her neck of jewelry of the brightest colors. Though her jewelry was fancy, her dress was not, and it seemed to hide the form of the petit teen, her little over five foot form more childlike than mature as was expected. Passing by the other two, she heard them talk of the hunt, and her heart grew heavy. Like every other hunt, the meals afterwards were expected to be fit for a king, since they were hungry enough, and she could almost hear the disappointing cry of her husband when he would be faced with yet another 'hardly acceptable' meal from her skills. Moving towards her home, she tried to keep from the males, not sure she could handle a confrontation today.
