This anthro baby girl has been gifted to Krista Darkangel for the massive ammounts she has done with helping me update the owners list with links to each volu, without asking for anything in return! She then went on to continue to update the owners list as more flatsales were added, without being asked.

Thank you for all of your hard work Krista, it has been much appreciated!

Firama (Elven for 'Dark Beauty')
As told by Eirnae:
My very first companion beyond that of Alimus, Firama shall always have a special place in my heart. We have been through a lot together, she and I, and that will never change. Firama has shown a great aptitude for gardening and the enjoyment of long walks in natural places, a true 'outdoor volu'. Yes, she gardens. She helps me while watering the rose garden, also scampering through the house and checking on the many plants indoors to be sure they have enough moisture and nutrients. For this purpose Calavel made her a tiny leather harness that she can slip in and out of easily, it housing the small vitamins she buries in the pots of my plants to keep them healthy as well as the packets of water that she refills everyday for 'emergancy watering'. If a plant is in real trouble, while a rarity it does happen now and then, she dashes to my side and nips the hell out of my ankle to get my attention. I love her...really. Oh yes, did I mention that she loves to spend time with her lifemate, Kaelth, and her daughter,Soldeth? No? Well, she does.

Firama is not just another volu who happens to be a gardening fanatic, she is an intelligent friend who listens very well and follows directions to a tea if spoken to politely. She understands elven as well as common, a trait I am sure is a result of me using both languages often. She is a wonderful mother from what I can see, though Soldeth is not interested in learning how to garden despite how many times Firama seems to try and catch her interest.

Her and Korria have gotten into some spats, granted, but I always break them up before the fur flies.

Kaelth
As told by Eirnae:
He has a deep love of literature, an amazing feat for a volu in my way of thinking. Ever since I adopted him from his past owner, BlackScorpion, Kaelth has amazed me with his patience and sense of calm. Even Soldeth, who tends to be very hyper, stops and listens to me read when he is around.

I already mentioned how just his presence seems to calm the rest of my volu, but that is not the full extent of his abilities. I swear that Kaelth knows how to read both common and elven, or at least is a very convincing con artist. What really sold me on this is how Firama was cuddled up next to him one day looking up at me as I read to them both, then she glanced down at the page I was reciting off of when Kaelth nudged her gently. She started to move her head side to side as he did, him squeaking instructively. Call me crazy, but I think he was trying to teach her how to read. I catch him doing the same with Soldeth, when he can get her to stay in one spot long enough.

Kaelth impresses me as being a pacifist at heart, but you never know. Thus far he has had no opportunity, nor made one, to attack any living being.

Soldeth (Elven for 'Memory Eternal')
As told by Eirnae:
Hyperactive does not quite cover this little girl's energy levels, but it is close. As long as she's amongst familar company she is a constantly moving ball of fur, barely visible as she tackles and wrestles with anything that dares to move in her presence. Of course once someone she doesn't know enters the picture she clams up and hides behind the nearest comforting body, often my own or one of her parents. Amazing that a volu that loves to play as much as her is so painfully shy around strangers. Anyway, once she makes friends with the new face she goes back to being extremely active. A sure sign that you have won her confidence is if she pounces on you or a part of you, possibly adding a light n** for good measure.

A darn good pouncer, even against my feline companions she is top notch. I'll never forget the look on Alimus's face when she leapt onto his muzzle and scampered up over his back. I do believe he was cross-eyed for a moment or two. Heh heh.. How Soldeth keeps up the pace that she does I'll never know, but she does eat and drink a lot to supply herself with the proper energy.

Like her mother, Soldeth does not get along well with Korria at all. Thus far I have broken up all of the possible fights, but one day I may not get there in time.

Korria (Elven for 'Black Huntress')
As told by Eirnae:
Korria earned her way out of her cage long ago, and her days of agression seem to be over for the most part. She tends to keep to herself when not with me, her lifemate, Remus, or her son, Mahtan, avoiding Firama and Soldeth whenever possible. I'm not sure why my three female volu don't get along or what started it, but at least Korria doesn't go looking for trouble and vice versa. What does Korria like to do to pass the time? She works on the burrow she started with Remus in the rose garden, now encouraging her son to aid her in that task. She also prowls about the woodlands near the manor for small game to take down and bring home to us, even divulging in sharing bits of the meat with Firama and Soldeth when the mood strikes her. She seems happiest when with Remus or Mahtan or both, and is currently trying to teach them how to hunt as she does. Remus is showing promise in that area, but Mahtan is a lost cause. That dear boy only likes fruits and flower nectar, the very smell of meat makes him turn his head in disgust.

Korria was trained by the dark pixies to be an efficent killer, and in a way she still is. She keeps up her art of stalking prey and giving it a quick, painless death by hunting in the woods near our home. I have followed her many times just to view her techique, and I could not have taught her better myself. Of course her nature had me concerned that she would not be a nurturing mother, but I should have known better. She treasures Mahtan, I can see it in the way she nuzzles and fusses over him. I feel close to her for that, for we are both hunters with young, and we both love our babies more than our own lives.

She is skilled in remaining still in a patch of darkness, preferring high branches so she can look down at the forest floor with keen yellow eyes. Once she spots a viable target she swoops down and aims to land atop them, crushing their spine as her fanged teeth dart for the throat to bite down hard as all four paws stink their claws into the sides of her prey. Depending on what it is, though she often chooses mice over other options, she'll then take to the air carrying her prize.

Mahtan (Elven for 'Mage Spinner')
As told by Eirnae:
If I wanted a volu that is near the complete opposite of Korria other than her apparent love for those that win her trust, I got one. Her own son, the very one that I adopted from BlackScorpion, is as gentle as a volu can get. He spends his time fluttering from flower to flower in Shina's garden, sniffing each one and occansionally taking a sip of nectar. He has no interest in hunting, as he is a vegetarian whose favorite foods are fruits, vegetables, and of course flower nectar. He does play with Soldeth from time to time, but he flies away and hides when she starts to get overally active. He seems to respect his mother, Korria, and father, Remus, but gets along best with his father, who understands the need for calm repose better than Korria.

None of my volu have mastered the art of admiring beauty quite like Mahtan. He loves all things he deems 'pretty', and will often perch on a steady surface so he can gaze at a particular object or being for hours. Cyoro often borrows him and takes him to her place to see if he likes her latest work of art, as she trusts in Mahtan's 'sense of artistic perfection'.

Mahtan has yet to display any sense of malice towards any living being, but he has been known to chase dust bunnies around the basement floor when I'm cleaning down there.

Garael (Elven for 'Owl Knight')
As told by Eirnae:
If you've never had the treat of witnessing a pint sized furball with a tail longer than the span of his body trying to fit the smallest metal helmet you've ever seen onto his head, then you should really come over and visit us some time. I didn't know what to name Garael for the longest time. I was afraid he would get far too used to being called over by the classic, "Hey you!" or "Yeah, you with the stripes!". Once Kaelth got his paws on him, however, finding the right name was almost instantly solved when I happened across the scene I described earlier. Just add a very annoyed owl into the mix. Yeah, I know, it sounds ridiculous, but let me explain. Kaelth, my Firama's lifemate, is a very bookish volu, and showed me the very book that he had shared with Garael that day after I had my belly laugh at the sight of my long-tailed volu trying to stay astride a wildly flapping owl's back. Kaelth had found one of my older volumes, and had gone over a tale about knights with their noble steeds and lofty ideals. Garael must have gotten inspired, and went off adventuring in the forest to seek a 'steed' of his own, borrowing one of my metal thimbles for a helmet, which he tied on with thread. Luckily, the owl left in a huff after a bit of calming down, and Garael seemed to give up on the whole taming an owl idea. For a while. Nowadays, I'm just glad that Garael holds himself responsible for the owl that he fettered out of a nest all those months ago. Would you believe he's even taught himself how to joust while riding it? Makes me wonder who in the world he expects to compete against when he's the only 'owl knight' that I know of. Coincidentally, he now has a full set of armor, a sword, several wooden lances, and his owl has a cute leather riding harness. I could lament Calavel's construction of these items, but they make him so happy that I've decided to let him do as he wishes... as long as he doesn't skewer anyone.
