Strong golden hind legs dug into the ground as Temari started to run. If he wanted to meet the part of her that he had never met before, then by the spirits, Temari would let him meet it.
Dirt flew out into the air as she suddenly picked up speed and blurred with the air around her. This was the way she ran when she was alone, because nothing could keep up with her when she let the wind take her.
She was at the watering hole in a mater of seconds and she had to skidd to a halt, sending her body into the water with a rolling tumble.
Her body sunk and she let if for now. It felt nice on her paws, whenever she ran that fast she could keep it up, but her paws suffered afterwards.
With an explosion, she lifted her head back up out of the water and shook it. Her tongue lolled out of her mouth and she cast a goofy grin over at Jamaa as he trotted up.
Kizaki swallowed a bug from the speed that they were going. She attempted to spit it out, but it had flown right down her throat and made her gag.
Bleack.
Then suddenly her mother was gone. She had seen a golden blur for a moment and then, no more mommy. It was shock worthy. Kizaki had known for a long time that her mother could run as fast, if not faster than the wind itself, but she had never seen it happen.
Every time she was with her mother, she slowed her pace down so that her smaller daughter could keep up. Someday she hoped that she would get to run with her mother when they were the same size. It could be fun to see if she could keep up with her mother.
