He kept himself from asking more questions - if The Code had a consciousness, did that mean it also had flaws? Did that mean it made mistakes? Blarney's mind drifted to Miss Joy, who was so angry about having been awoken in the first place. It tread dangerously close to 'God has a plan' or 'God doesn't make mistakes' to say that everything happened for a reason, for the greater good - he did resist that concept, whether it was The Code or God. He found it very difficult to believe that any uber-powerful being was Perfect with a capital P and never made mistakes. Otherwise...like, probably the world wouldn't be such a horrifying disaster zone, even without the magic war factored in.
"Soon," Blarney agreed. "Whenever you're ready, honestly. I got nothin' goin' on," he said with a chuckle. "At least nothing more important than going to the literal Moon. Move over Armstrong, Blarney coming through," he said with a laugh. "Just let me know where and when and what I should...do or bring or whatever to be ready." Would he need a spacesuit? Or was that a perk of magic - breathing in zero G? He'd been able to breathe on Aruna, but that was mostly underground, and an asteroid...he had no idea if the same truth would win out on their own moon.
"Hey, I--thank you," Blarney said, giving him another smile. He caught the ball and instead of tossing it back, he began to close the distance between them. "This was--your'e awesome. Really. Thank you," he said, the words feeling entirely lacking. "Is--do you need--if you ever need anything," Blarney stumbled, sheepish again as he tossed the ball to him when he was close enough. "I dunno what you would need me for, but--if you do. Yeah?"
