... Did a lot of knights have this overall hesitance? Basiluzzo had refused to share his wonder with Encke at all until he had transcended. Pendour had been both happy to share it and worried about Encke running into Irving. It spoke to what these places were -- a solo venture a lot of these had once either been expected to lead solo by them or by their ancestors.
Something to drill into later, he supposed.
"You're right, he isn't the boss of you or the Garde. Understandable that you'd want to give him space, though." He didn't sound like a d**k like Irving did, at least. "If you want to bring someone with you, when you're ready, absolutely will. And I'll poke Viatrix to come, too. Maybe she'd want to help you map out the Garde." Sounded like something she'd want to do, anyway. Encke had been the first person Viatrix had experimented on with her GPS app. "Maybe I could convince my husband to come. He'd make a good pool guy."
That was a joke.
... Partially. Might make a good bit for a strip show, actually-
"I can show you some of the things I've done with my comet. Might help give some inspiration." Encke grinned. "Maybe I can whip up some drinks too."
