Intelligent, clever, and serious-natured, Ouranos can be viewed as a bore by many; that's okay, he has embraced his old soul nature entirely. He's a kind stallion with rarely a bad thing to say about others, but he struggles to connect emotionally. The skies above interest him far more than the average hoi, especially the stars and the many constellations he has sought to chart and log.

[Born!] He was born in the wild to two loving but unprepared parents. Nomadic, the family traveled the moment he could walk on his own, instilling a love for adventure early. His father taught Ouranos about the constellations they had discovered and learned, prompting Ouranos to continue his father's studies once he set out on his own. Wandering the lands came naturally to him. He traveled in every and any direction he pleased, meeting humans and hoi casually. During one of his expeditions, he met Arete, a sweet and curious mare, and found her interesting enough to befriend and loop back to visit from time to time. What he didn't expect was to discover a panicked Arete with a forgotten and lonesome filly during one of his visits. He assured her he'd stick around long enough to help rear the filly (with a firm insistence he would not take a parental role in their life) and named the lonesome filly Lyrais.

Ouranos: Her first friend! He's often out traveling, but she looks forward to his visits and the newest story of his adventures. He helped raise Lyrais, although he insists she did all the work. Lyrais: Finding Lyrais on her own was shocking enough, but so was the unexpected task of helping raise a filly not her own! She's not sure what role she filled for Lyrais, or how the filly views her, but she is glad to have been a part of Lyrais' formative days. She hopes Lyrais visits her plenty, too.

Equipped with little self-confidence but a strong moral code, Arete struggles between being unsure of her convictions and choices but also wanting to do what is right. She often has been viewed as a pushover for her more anxious and fretting nature, but when push comes to shove, Arete faces conflict with determination and a quick tongue. She may, later, regret the unprepared and emotional words she'll say when put in that state, but Arete doesn't bend for anyone.

[Born!] Her parents had hoped for more than one child when they placed their blessings for growing their family, but Arete was loved dearly anyway. Her parents struggled with her natural insecurity and would question her often on if it was their fault or if something had happened. When she reached adulthood, her parents urged her to leave home and find her own place to call her own, in hopes it'd help strengthen her and grow Arete past her constant doubts and worries. Unfortunately, it only reminded Arete that she was burdening her folks by staying around, and she quickly took to finding a home too far for them to travel and visit regularly. She met Ouranos during one of his expeditions and spent a few days learning about the stars with him. Delighted with her new and first friend, Arete was more than happy to offer her home as a resting point anytime he was on a journey nearby. She found a lone filly on one of her daily walks! Horrified that someone had clearly left the poor thing on its own, Arete hurriedly ushered them from the snow-covered mountaintop into her cave. Luckily, Ouranos had also come by for one of his visits and agreed to help her raise the filly as long as he wasn't expected to be a dad. Arete wasn't ready to be a mom, either, so that worked out perfectly. Ouranos gave the filly a name (Lyrais), and settled in to pause his adventures to help.

She can be stubborn and strong-willed, leading her to bump heads with those of like-minded nature. Love is important to her first and foremost, and she aspires to be a good, forgiving friend, but she absolutely needs to work on knee-jerk reactions.
Lyrais is incredibly sociable and seeks other hoi out when available. She'd be happy to lend a hoof to anyone in need, even if it put her plans aside or was an inconvenience.

[Born!] She was not wanted, but her parents tried at first... they just couldn't figure it out in the end. She was abandoned as a filly on a mountaintop right after snow had freshly fallen. She was grateful to be found by Ouranos and Arete, but it took quite some time before she felt comfortable talking or leaning on them. The trauma of being abandoned never fully went away, but she was treated with love and care for the rest of her childhood by her two older friends.

Circe knows she's beautiful, Aphrodite's blessing or not, and she walks the world with confidence. She's used to utilizing her looks to get her way and has no qualm putting on a facade to further her goals. While she favors adorning whatever personality gains her approval, underneath it all is someone vain, entitled, and acutely aware her personality isn't as appealing as her appearance. A part of her fears being left behind if someone were to figure her out, but she's not the kind to admit it.
Circe loves caring for plants and has a soft spot for children, hoping to someday be a mother; perhaps even a wife, if someone were to win her heart. [Born!] Circe was born to two hippoi bonded together by their human counterparts. They liked each other enough, but didn't quite care for Circe as much as they had hoped. She was a demanding, fickle child, wearing on her mother's nerves daily. Unused to competing for her human's affections, Circe's mother grew distant from her child and began urging the small mikroi to adventure on her own someday. While Circe's father was a loving, patient sort, he withdrew from his child to preserve himself from the stress between her and his partner. It didn't take much further prompting for Circe to leave home as an adult, honestly. She wandered briefly until stumbling upon a quiet, soft-hearted florist who opened her home to the mikroi. Circe viewed the human woman favorably, both enjoying the pampering from her and the garden she was allowed to care for. Life with a human seemed to make sense finally, and Circe settled nicely into the small village alongside her new partner.
