Naturally, it was in exactly the condition he’d promised and he was glad she appreciated it already–for more than just its looks. Bestla treated it tenderly and with great compassion, and though he was soured to lose such a beautiful piece, he didn’t seem like he was going to throw a fit about it.
This had been mutually beneficial for both of them.

But I bet you’ve got plenty else exciting around here. I’m sad to lose him,†he admitted, “But I suppose I can’t complain since he’s only gone home.
