Wait. Pendour and Abzu were getting married? Promethei couldn't help a bark of a laugh. “Well, I'll be damned. Michelangelo committing. Really.” To multiple people from the sounds of it. He didn't know Michelangelo was poly. Or Ignacio, for that matter.
He needed to take note of that news.
“I'll need to ask him if that affects anything with us,” Promethei murmured, with an amused addition of, “can't believe he's really committing to that level.”
Maybe he should talk to Sadie at some point. Seemed she was important to a lot of people in his sphere, at least.
As true as it tended to be with how Promethei looked at Chaos, maybe redemption was the wrong word. Even as a joke– “Think I got that sense off you, that lack of investment?” Promethei tilted his head. “You were pretty damn new and already seemed disconnected from what you were doing. Telling you what it actually was made it worse.”
Worse enough to at least set the gears in motion. Promethei understood she didn't get out of there as fast as a bat out of hell, but seemed pretty damn close if she was still a page. Emain Ablach had been a captain before he could break that hold.
“Glad chaos didn't sink its claws too deep in any case.”

stari_maga Promethei seemed so surprised. Did that mean he knew Abzu, too? “Yeah, Sadie never really seemed that into romance or anything,” she said. “If you just take it at face value, like, the party boy gets hitched with the ace one, it seems a little weird.” She shrugged. “But in reality, they’re really cute together. He’s a good guy, too. Helped me a lot with purification and stuff.” It seemed like Promethei had offered her advice early on, which had probably also been super helpful with making sure she could get out of the Negaverse before stuff had gotten really bad. Abzu had helped a lot with the practical aspects, though. Like, moving her stuff. Emotional support. Yeah. “I’m glad I got to meet you again, though. I’m kinda having to restart with a lot of stuff, so the more cool people I meet the better, I right?”

Seiana_ZI It did seem odd at the base. The ace one–Sadie was ace, the plot thickened–and the very much not ace one. Perhaps there was something to how getting rid of the sexual aspect had allowed them to connect differently. Or perhaps they just meshed well. Promethei, a chronic people-watcher and gossiper, was curious to dig deeper into that connection. That was likely something that would be easier to do by actually seeing the two of them together, though. “Abzu is a nice guy,” noted Promethei, shifting his weight to his back foot. “Legitimately.” And in plenty of ways. … And in some that weren't necessarily appropriate for an average conversation- “Sounds like he found someone who blends well with him.” Somehow. Abzu wasn't aromantic, was he? “Glad I got to meet you again too, though.” Even without the juicy marriage gossip. “Important we build connections on this side. Think it's how we prevent each other from becoming isolated islands. We won't survive alone.”

“Yeah,” she said, with that same grin she’d worn at first. “No islands here, bruh! We’re bros. Comrades.”
Knowing that made her feel more secure in whatever was gonna come.
“And this time I don’t even have to say something like ‘see you around’ and hope I mean it. You know all my friends, so I bet I will see you again, yeah?”
She put two fingers to her forehead for a small salute, then continued on her way. “Til’ then.”
