Thus they made their way back to their home and nest. A nest full of some new pups their parents would find. He hoped they didn't freak out but he knew that he and his brother would take good care of the puppies together. After all radaku were known to be quite loyal and these seemed friendly enough, any meaner of a critter and they would not have settled for bug when they could have had both. It was heady to have such a powerful creature as a friend and companion.
The road home seemed all the brighter for their new furry friends. The two radaku certainly had found just as easily a new pack and were quite happy to gambol along after their newly adopted two legs. What new adventures would they have and thankfully they were no longer alone. They had been booted from their mother who had been expecting more puppies, she had said they were old enough and scooted them out the den door. They should maybe have payed a little more attention in hunting lessons growing up but they were getting better!

They organized the yard and got there friends some bowls for water and food, then they scrubbed them up which was more rodeo than befriending the two creatures were, he was pretty sure he and Alias were just as wet at the end of their radaku bathing experience.
They were both smiling and their adolescent puppers were clean and smelling a lot better than before. Hopefully they would make a good impression, they would certainly require a lot of training especially initially. They were all over the place, romping around the yard with their furry tails straight in the air. They play fought and played tag and Thoraka thought that was good as it might exhaust them properly before their parents came home to pass judgement, they were the adults this was there home but he also thought it unlikely they would say no to their two entreprenurial sons. He would just have to take deep breaths until they got home.

They dried the critters off and made them presentable for inspection by their parents later, then as boys would do they played with the radaku who also enjoyed the high speed fun. Though there was a distinct advantage for the four legged team there. Thoraka had better flat straight distance speed where Alaias with his currently shorter legs was able to duck and dodge better with the ability to turn on a dime. They two were exhausted by the time the light fell from the sky as the setting sun sank beyond the horizon and tree line. He had to admit he liked Jauhar just a little more now what with the nature lessons and the new best furry friends that they had managed to collect.
He came and sat by his brother, "I got you something else from the forest today." He held out a wishing rock as their parents called it, a rock with a hole in it, that the luck was said to be held in that hole so that when needed the user could borrow that luck, over time it would refill. Of course at the end of the day all you had to do was believe that it was more than just a rock with a hole in it.

By the time their parents came home they were in a heap in their bedroom, them and their radaku both. Thoraka could hear the noises of their parents coming in, giggling quietly and then the shocked gasps and utter silence as the first thing they did was check on their kids. There was nothing they could do, their kids had bonded with the critters and that was that. Thoraka smiled in his blanket fortress and petted his dark blue female. She was so sweet and warm and he had to admit that it felt more like a family with the critters in it. He was learning and so was Alaias though Alai apparently had some hidden impressive critter skill that he couldnt' wait to tell Dad about later, he wasn't sure why he was more hesitant to tell mom, perhaps as a rule Dad was ruled by logic where Mom tended toward more emotions? He wasn't sure. He just felt like telling Dad about Alaias' new abilities rather than Mom.
He shook his head and did his best to fall asleep.

He was very nearly asleep when his parents got back, he barely heard them being caught in that place between dreaming and waking where he was only half present in his body. His little fist was threaded gently through the fur of his pale radaku adol. His breathing was even and deep and he was less aware of his surroundings than his brother was in his blankie fortress over yonder. Alais also liked the softest of soft blankets, his Mama made his special with a gentler thread that was admittedly harder to work with.
It was what lulled him to dreams at night, and now radaku fur as well which was just as soft and much more fun to pet. He was happy, truly happy, he too didn't think their critters would be a problem with Mom and Dad so long as they took good care of their responsibilities and worked hard to make their dreams continue to happen, after all that was the key to a successful life.
