You could make things out of sugar? Shapes? Naeria wondered briefly how effective sugar would be as a building material. Not very, she decided quickly, but she still wanted to see what Leona could make out of it.

“Yes, we can head back,” she said. “Before I go to my house I will give you the number of my phone.” That way they would be able to actually meet up more frequently, and not have to rely on just meeting up by chance.

She stood up. “And in the meantime, I will see if I can research a way to make vegan caramel.”

She wanted to try her favorite.

“I am excited to see what they are,” said Naeria. When Evie powered down, she did not draw up her glamour. She did not like doing that unless she had no choice, and she felt that it was quiet enough she could make her way home without being noticed. Still, as the girl passed the phone over, she said, “I am Naeria. I will put Aria in here, though, because that is what I go by when I need to sound more human.”

Then she handed the phone back and nodded.

“Thank you for showing that to me. I am going to go home now, but I will be happy to see you again.”

With a wave, a mark of Earth culture, she turned down the street and walked away.
