Tersa and Mary shared a look. "Not at the moment, but we can do something about that! While I'd rather you not sleep in the gardens, we do have a few rooms with balconies we can retrofit for a hammock! Perhaps get a few hardy palms for at least one side of it..." said Tersa, who began to mutter as she puttered around the room for a moment. "In the meantime... we may have some camping equipment we can set you up with!"

Mary smiled at Damaris and offered one of the muffins. It looked sort of plain, with little spots of blueberries. "Damaris, this is a muffin. It's like... a baked foodstuff? Do you have any foods you try to stay away from, or weren't part of your diet on Magion? Actually..."

She poured a cup of tea for all three of them - just a basic oolong for Damaris - and settled into the couch. "The furthest I've been is the Surrounding, and the previous Bifrost didn't leave her wonder much. I'd love to know about Magion and your world."

“The longer I was up there, the less there was to eat, so I am happy to eat anything!” The muffin looked delicious and she took it happily and half of it was gone in a single bite. These people were so very nice, and Damaris couldn’t help but feel safe. Welcomed.

…It was so very nice.

“I am happy to take you up to Magion! My home…consists of several islands. Back…back before we would have great ships to take you to the islands and each ship was absolute luxury, they were wonderful–I am the Senshi of Relaxation, and my homeworld was just that…utterly relaxing and perfect for everyone who visited!”

She looked so pleased at the thought, and took another bite of the muffin, a bit smaller of a bite this time, but still. She was clearly enjoying it.

“The great storms sank all of our ships though…and contact with the other islands was cut off…” Sighing, Damaris shrugged. “I just have to go out there somehow and fix the storms!”

"Ah! That explains the hammocks, I see," replied Mary, digging into her own blueberry muffin. So there were a bunch of islands and ships, but then they got cut off due to really bad storms. Mary knew a little about the worlds of senshi from deep space being taken over by Chaos of some kind, but hadn't really gone to any to assist. She was still miffed that the Surrounding seemed to just... not matter as a defense mechanism anymore.

Damaris clearly thought that the rest of her world was still alive, just cut off because of the storms. Wouldn't they have rebuilt the ships if the other islands still had people? Or were the storms so bad, not even Damaris as the world's senshi could move around freely?

Tersa smiled at Damaris, having picked up a set of knitting needles and a roll of blue gradient yarn about the colors of Damaris' hair. "I take it the storms aren't normal for your world? How long have you been cut off from the other islands?"

Oh this poor sweet, summer child...

Damaris finished her muffin and hesitated before taking a second muffin and eating the top off if it in a single bite. It was easily one of the most delicious things she had eaten in a very long while, and she truly didn’t want to just…stop. But.

“Yes! The hammocks are very relaxing, and no…the storms were not…”

She frowned, trying to figure the best way to describe it. “They are not…natural...and they have not stopped…it’s been…a very long, long time. I have lost count, absolutely but…a very long time.”

Falling quiet, Damaris looked down at the topless muffin in her hand and peeled back the paper, taking another bite. “The longer I have stayed up there, the weaker I have become. And I don’t have the power to fight against it any longer…it’s been…difficult.”

Mary leaned over and squeezed her arm. "Well, you're in the best place in the universe to find help for dealing with the storms. Destiny City is sort of... a nexus of powered individuals. Numerous senshi and knights patrol, fighting off the Negaverse and youma where they show up. Or other things, since the city likes to attract weird stuff too," she said with a reassuring smile. "Plus, I can help you regain your power if you'd like. I'm more focused on defense, personally, but I've been fighting this fight for... a while now."

"Oh yes, color me surprised when we're trying to have a nice luncheon outside and a monster walks out of the bushes! Then sweet little Mary powers up and starts whacking it with a gold chain!" Tersa beamed at her granddaughter, who tried to hide behind her tea cup.

The old woman continued, knitting away with a speed that defied her wrinkly hands, "It was then I connected the dots in some of the old tapestries and paintings of the Chronos symbols, and wholeheartedly embraced Mary as Bifrost. She's not always had the best time of it, but you won't find a more steadfast protector."

"Grams! Please... I'm just... holding the line, as I and the prior Bifrost knights have always done...' Her cheeks heated at the praise and beaming adoration in her grandmother's voice. There were several people far more capable than her - far more dedicated, too. Leave it to Tersa to set up unrealistic expectations though.

Damaris listened and finished her muffin as she did so. Her eyes were sparkling and she nodded eagerly at Mary’s offer. Offers? There was so much being said, and she was trying to retain all that she could, but honestly…

As she grabbed for a third muffin, she realized just how hungry she had been. It was so strange, now that she was feeding her stomach just how much it was trying to demand.

“I think you sound so very admirable, and I am honored to be able to know you!”

Both of these woman were amazing…and Damaris beamed at the both of them. “You two…are well worthy of the mantle that you carry!” She assumed that Tersa had carried it too, it made sense, that was just how Knights were, after all…

Or at least…as much as she knew about them. “I will take you up on everything Mary. I would love to fight with you and alongside of you!”

Tersa chuckled. "Oh I'm only associated with the Chronos knights in that I'm Mary's maternal grandmother. There apparently hasn't been one since the fall of the, what was it dear?"

"Silver Millennium, Grams."

'Ah yes! That! I am as mundane as they come, and have been for, oh, decades now," said the older lady, still knitting away. "In the meantime, let's get you set up in a room. Mary, can you show her to the room across from yours? I think that one has a nice balcony facing the sun."

Mary nodded and stood, pilfering another muffin for the 'journey'. "Let's get you settled, Damaris. C'mon."

She'd help Damaris... and maybe help herself too.
