Super Surtur of DesolationHP: 61/75 Action: Using magic to attack. Damage: 10 + 1d4 = 11 Smog? Surtur bared his teeth as it blew the toxic air out over everyone. He could see Daedalus there, also fighting. Good. While he was displeased that his old friend was ailing from a lifetime of suffering, he was given hope by the Senshi’s fortitude. Perhaps they had more of a chance at getting rid of the Chaos than they thought.
Not that Surtur had any doubt. It was simply a matter of how quickly they would accomplish their task.
“Try not to breathe in the fumes,” Surtur warned to Ymir, but also to anyone around them. He figured that they knew not to breathe in the toxic dust, but in the heat of battle, things might be forgotten.
He didn’t know how much his magic would work but it was better than nothing, and he had a feeling that others were going to try as well. Quote: Sailor Scout Attack: Forlorn Heart Surtur’s target is hit with a heavy wave of depression and feelings of emptiness. Everything around them appears as though it has lost all color saturation, or has been covered in ash or dust from decay. There is no physical damage, but the attack can be disorienting and emotionally draining. It lasts for thirty (30) seconds and can be used three (3) times. It affects enemies within a ten foot radius around Surtur and the magic will follow him if he moves, but the effects end if the target moves out of the radius.

BOSS HP: 222.5/350Murikabushi’s magic and Læraðr’s strange music seemed to lure the beast, and the smog around them grew thicker for a moment, choking—as if it hungered for Murikabushi’s very breath, and as if the strange music needed to be smothered out.
It retreated from Ymir, battered by sleet, and pulled some of the thick-hanging smog in the air with it—giving Ymir and Surtur a little extra room to breathe, for a moment. Similarly, Tortuga’s electricity seemed to chase it away from him.
Irkalla’s rock seemed, briefly, to strike something solid-ish, but it hovered for only an instant before passing through the smoke.
The battering of attacks made the creature pull itself back together, a vaguely humanoid shape made of thickening smog, like a cloud granted solidity. Except that the shape had what seemed like horns protruding from its head—as if it were imitating not Earth humans, but Daedalans.
And there was a sound. An eerie, echoing thing—laughter, as if Rhea’s magic had truly affected the creature and reduced it to giggles. The shape didn’t seem doubled over, or as if it was trying to stifle anything, though—perhaps the laughter, too, was part of the strange magic in the air?
It lashed out, with tendrils of smog, grasping at Daedalus, Tortuga, Rhea, Læraðr, and Ymir, in an effort to yank the ones that had hit it the hardest towards it.

Deep Space Eternal Sailor Daedalus HP: 73/100 Action: Physical attack, clawing at the boss Damage Done: 7 Boss HP: 215.5/350It was fortifying, to have his friends at his side. Daedalus flashed Urania a grin, letting her magic carry him up—a much better angle to strike at the creature from. And Murikabushi, stalwart by his side, a mirror of a friend from one life to the next. Surtur was close at hand, too, and his presence made Daedalus feel all the better.
Even when the monster solidified
Daedalus was glad for the strength of an Eternal Senshi—he could dig his heels into the dirt, and while it managed to pull him forward, it was only so far. Moreover, he could dig his nails into the tentacle wrapped around his arm, and he met….resistance.
Oh. That was good. Resistance meant solidity meant fists and rocks could hurt it properly.
”It’s more solid now! It should be possible to hit it!”

DSS Terebellum of Resonance HP: 36/50 Action: Resonanting the ground beneath the boss to suck in a... limb? Does it have limbs? She can't tell. Damage/Healing/Buff Done: 10 + 1d4 = 13 Boss HP: 202.5/350
Yet another world she was helping to clear the Chaos from that wasn't her own. Did she think that doing all of this would some how... clean her slate of how many people she doomed? Of how many of her own people died when Chaos took over Terebellum?
Tere shook her head, hood falling to her shoulders. Now wasn't the time to have those thoughts. Not when there was a monster made of smoke that they were fighting. Not when there was a world to save. She dashed forward, dropping to her knees below the monster as it shifted into something a bit more solid, and pressed her palms to the bridge below it.
"Resonance Amplification!" she said, feeling the magic pool in her arms and then surge into the ground beneath her. No feedback this time, though she felt the vibrations all the way up to her horns.
Above and below though, she was tired. Tired of fighting. Tired of running. Tired of feeling sorry for herself.
No. She couldn't think like that now. Later, Terebellum, later.
Quote: She's open for interaction! Please quote me if you do!
Magic Sailor Scout Attack: Resonance Amplification! Description: Terebellum calls the name of her attack and touches an object. Effect: In up to a 5ft radius from where she touched the object, it shudders and seems to shift and vibrate as power and energy resonates through them. This only affects inanimate objects or terrain (such as the ground or walls). Effects can alter between violent shaking and trembling when the energy does not resonate well within the target, and the target may have a suction effect when the energy resonates well. This suction effect can attract living creatures, people, and objects the size or smaller than a human. She cannot control the effect and it may manifest randomly in battle. At player choice and RP direction, small objects may crack or explode. Duration: 30 seconds; small objects can explode at any point in time during this use if plotted with RP partner Range: Terebellum must touch the object to use her magic. Uses: 3

Character Name and journal link Squire Irkalla HP: 61/75 Action: Throwing Objects at the Smog Guardian Damage/Healing/Buff Done: Boss HP: 196.5/350
All things considered Irkalla was glad that she had not been seen as a threat by the smog creature. The idea of flying under the radar was best tactic for now even as she found to be a rather hefty branch that would make a rather satisfying impact if she managed to hit the beast. The trouble with that idea is that if she ran in now, there would be the danger of hitting those that had been ensnared by the creature's oddly formed tentacles. Dropping the branch Irkalla once more felt the size of the rocks that were everywhere before picking one up and lobbing it with force at the creature. Rocks were easier to predict where they might land and so it was safer to stick with what worked best in the squire's mind.

Character Name and journal linkRhea Super Senshi of LaughterHP: 48/75 Action: trying to grab the tendril, yank and kick boss Damage/Healing/Buff Done: 4 Boss HP: 192.5 The laughing was weird, did that mean her attacked worked, she guess, but it was a damn cloud or whatever so it was damn hard to tell. She have to try again to see how it faired a second time, or maybe save her magic. It wasn't like she had much of it. If there was one thing Rhea didn't like, it was being grabbed by anything resembling a tentacle, something that stemmed all the way back to the nightmare circus of her elementary school days before she was even a senshi, being manhandled by an octopus monster. She tried to dodge to no avail and yelped at the monster grabbed hold of her and yanked her clean off her feet bringing her closer to it. It was hard not to panic, but she managed and clung to the words of the senshi of this planet and tried to grabbed hold of the tendril that grabbed her and try to yank the thing and kicked it with her raised foot if she managed. She sincerely hoped she never encountered something so sinister on her own planet. The weird graying patched had been bad enough.

Character Name and journal link Viminal Page of VenusHP: 36/50 Action: Trying to hit boss with her weapon Damage/Healing/Buff Done: 5 Boss HP: 187.5 She certainly was expecting the tendril that grabbed Rhea and yanked and bodily forward. The was certainly enough to get her moving without much thought running after the young woman, with her mirrorless mirror tightly clutched in her hand. It was good to see she recovered quickly enough, though Viminal still asked in a rush if she was okay. There wasn't much time for chitchat obviously with them in the middle of a literal battle field, but checking in was becoming hard wired in her and all of the family likely. She shook her head slightly and focused, clutching her weapon and rushing to try to give the monster a good thwack. It was worrisome with magic and other things flying about trying not to get hit herself, getting so close to the damn monster, more solid or not. She was less than pleased with this whole situation.

Name: Super Murikabushi of HungerHP: 61 / 75. Action: Throwing vaguely brick-shaped rocks, then trying to help Læraðr. Damage Done: 1d10 = 8 damage. Boss HP: 179.5 / 350. The feeling that a b***h could just stop—that he could afford to lay down his burdens and rest because honestly hadn’t he earned that by now—dogged at Murikabushi’s pretty little heels. As the battle with the smog monster continued, those thoughts kept dancing around his head like Salome and her seven veils. They worsened as the smog whirled around him, sounding all the more tempting as the smog monster made Muri cough and hack, as he felt like the sleazy little Chaos nasty wanted to steal his breath.
It wasn’t like those thoughts didn’t have good points. Murikabushi had walked out on a drag career he’d spent a decade building and he had to build himself up all over again—hadn’t he given enough? He’d abandoned his family, and they had to learn how he was doing from Yuki because even with a new identity, he’d gone out with Faustite once as Reiki, and he too easily stood to put them at risk—hadn’t he lost enough? He’d procrastinated on actually abandoning them for his baby sister’s sake, putting her senior division debut ahead of his own needs—hadn’t he endured enough?
Well, Murikabushi was still alive and breathing, and he had more in him to give. So, clearly, the answer was “no.”
He only had so much magic, though, and Daedalus was right that they’d need all the magic they could save for the fight against whatever big b***h was waiting on the center island. Punching the smog monster still felt incredibly stupid, though—just less because of it being intangible (since it currently wasn’t), and more because the Chaos had latched onto different combatants with some kind of ******** smog-tentacles. Thanking his lucky stars that the smog monster hadn’t grabbed him up in its tendrils, Murikabushi picked up the largest stone he could find—something that seemed to have broken off of the bridge itself—and flung it toward the Chaos-smog.
He aimed for the void between its makeshift horns.
Once he’d sent the rock flying, Murikabushi moved to try and help someone else. The people who’d gotten carried away in the smog monster’s tentacles—spotting the one closest to him now, Muri almost held back. But his own personal distaste for Ser Not-As-Cool-As-Pendour wasn’t a good enough reason to ******** up this entire mission. With a deep breath, Muri shoved those feelings aside. He ran in closer to the Neptune Squire, grabbing him by the elbow and tugging. Somebody had to help break people out of the smog monster’s hold, so why not Muri.

Character Name and journal link Læraðr, Squire of NeptuneHP: 48/75 Action: attacking, whacking with cane Damage/Healing/Buff Done: 4Boss HP: 175.5 / 350 Læraðr choked as the smog smothered him a little, then... it seemed to settle. Their attacks were having an affect, then! It solidified—then he shrieked when the smoggy tendril thing whipped out and grabbed him (ew ew ew ew!!!), yanking him in closer to the monster. This wasn't good, this was not good at all!!! He struggled mightily against it for a moment, and then... he... huh.. God above, just letting it take him sounded so ******** appealing. He was so tired of holding everything together. Of being the go-to person in his whole family. Of course he wasn't the youngest, not when his siblings had kids and all, and he wasn't the youngest adult, either, but Gabi was and had been the truest baby of the family for a long time, so she wasn't expected to take on nearly as much as he was. Leandro, though? He was young but responsible, and had all the time in the world to do everything for his family, and he loved them to bits, of course he did, but he was just so... so tired. He sagged against the monster, until someone was yanking him around, trying to pull him off, away from the tendril—and then everything just rushed in all over again and he gasped sharply, wriggling as hard as he could, following the lead of the— Oh hey. Last time he'd seen this guy, he was Chaos. Good for him! He grinned sharply at Murikabushi. "Thanks bro!" he said, shaking off the feeling of the smog, and then turned to whack the hell out of the monster before him.

Super Sailor YmirHP: 48/75 Action: Not really struggling too hard. Flinging more of his basic magic into the creature’s face. Damage Done: (10+1d6) 15Boss HP: 160.5/350 Ymir let out an involuntary yelp as a tendril of smog wrapped around him and yanked, pulling him closer to the creature. He struggled against it, but only half-heartedly, more to see if he could wriggle free than to truly fight.
He didn’t care that the creature had taken on something of a humanoid form. The way it looked didn’t change the fact that it needed to be defeated. The eerie laughter didn’t scare Ymir, nor did his closer proximity. As far as Ymir was concerned, there wasn’t much to be afraid of any longer. The things that once scared him were all dead.
That didn’t mean he liked being dragged closer, just that he’d faced much worse.
He might as well do what he could from here. The creature had him in its grasp, which theoretically meant it couldn’t avoid him. (Then again, it was smog, so who really knew.) Ymir took the chance to throw more magic at it, aiming for what would have been the face on an actual person.Quote: Sailor Scout Attack: StrikeA target of Ymir’s choosing will find themselves struck by a barrage of small pellets of sleet for 30 seconds. These pellets cause a stinging sensation, and can result in thin, paper-cut-like injuries if the player chooses. Any pellets that find their way into the eyes can cause discomfort and temporary impairment. This attack can be used 3 times. (Note to self: This is the second use during this battle, so one more left.)

Super Surtur of DesolationHP: 61/75 Action: Using his basic magic. Jumping between Ymir and the smog monster. Biting the tendril around Daedalus’s wrist. Damage: 10 + 1d4 = 13 Boss HP: 147.5/350 “Ymir! Daedalus!” he barked in sudden distress when the creature grabbed both of them, and others, with its long tendrils.
His heart jumped to his throat. Although it was smog, and although this was Daedalus and not his world, he could still see the mist rising up from the valley, swallowing those who weren’t fast enough to get to higher ground.
He could hear their screams, their wails, their pleas for help.
He remembered rushing into the mist, of grabbing hold of those he could and trying to pull them out -- but it was always too late. He was met with lifeless eyes and hands reaching to tear and drag him down.
Sometimes he wondered if it would have been easier. If enduring those hundreds of years until he was the only one left…
Was it worth it?
Ymir was still fighting. He saw the way Ymir fired off another blast of his magic at close range, which meant as soon as he was close enough, Surtur did as well.
He launched himself on top of the tendril that was wrapped around Ymir, physically placing himself between Ymir and the rest of the smog creature. He was close enough to Daedalus as well that he reached over to grip hold of the tendril that had wrapped around his wrist.
Possibly ill-advised, as he placed most of his body in front of Ymir, an arm securely on one of his upper arms, Surtur leaned over to the tendril around Daedalus’s wrist he was already gripping tightly and sunk his teeth into the solidified smog. Quote: Sailor Scout Attack: Forlorn Heart Surtur’s target is hit with a heavy wave of depression and feelings of emptiness. Everything around them appears as though it has lost all color saturation, or has been covered in ash or dust from decay. Name: Dunwich, Page of NeptuneHP: 36 / 50 HP. Action: Continuing to thrash at the smog-monster with her driftwood heart. Damage Done: 1d8 = 6 damage. Boss HP: 141.5 / 350. Regardless of not entirely understanding the situation she’d gotten herself into or how she was supposed to deal with it, Dunwich had to persevere. Thrashing at the smog monster didn’t feel like it was doing very much to help the cause of destroying the stupid thing. All the while, she felt the same nagging sensation as before, the whispers in the back of her mind, telling her to just stop, to let herself rest, to consider the argument that she had very much earned the privilege of refusing to fight on further.
That wasn’t true. None of it was. Dunwich knew that perfectly well, and more so after having visited her Wonder to harmonize with its Code Piece. Of everyone alive in the universe, only she could currently be Knight Dunwich of Neptune. Playing it safe for so long, trying to stay off of the Negaverse’s radar for d’If’s sake—to prevent Jacob from being destroyed by getting dragged back into the Negaverse’s ranks and forcibly remade into Idrialite—that must have gone to Dunwich’s head more than she realized. It was the only explanation she could think of for why she felt so thoroughly tempted to relent, to give in, to let herself just. stop.
On consideration, maybe that was the Chaos talking. But maybe it was an indication that Dunwich badly needed to take her duties more seriously.
As the smog monster laughed its cold, heartless laugh—whoever had gotten it to make such a noise, Dunwich made a mental note not to get on their bad side—she tried her best to regroup. There was only so much that she could manage in that regard, though. The smog didn’t waft toward her, this time, and that was a bit of a welcome reprieve. On the plus, the monster felt somewhat more solid when she thrashed her heart into it this time, just like Daedalus had said. Maybe they could all manage this after all.

Tortuga of JupiterHP: 61-13= 48HPAction: Indirect Magic Damage - Using Aspect of Jupiter to escape creatures clutches Damage/Healing/Buff Done: 10 + 1d4 damage = 4Boss HP: 137.5/350 (math is not my friend T.T) Tortuga had found his cousin's belief that they could pull off a gag order on the whole 'Sig wandered away' to be sweet. Naïve but sweet. But that was neither here nor there, right now they needed to fight or none of them were getting out of this unscathed. He grinned, more like smirked, when the smog seemed to flee from his annoying zapping. Apparently being smog didn't keep it from feeling something from the current of electricity Tortuga had sent his way. It was rather cathartic to watch as well. At least until the thing grabbed him! A smoky tentacle wrapped around him and started to drag him physically towards the monster. He instantly started to hit the smog 'arm' but he also channeled his aspect through his ring, hoping that the flow of magic would be enough to get the thing to let him go. If anything the sound of his strikes might cause it to flinch or something! Anything! Granted if he fell in this fight Antares wouldn't be able to kill him when he got home... He also wouldn't have the nightmares anymore. Or the flashbacks. Or the panic attacks. Maybe just stopping was a good idea. Just let the thing end it. End it all. The best part, he didn't do it. It wasn't his fault. It wasn't like he just let the chaos consume him. Oh no he fought. He just lost. Quote: ASPECT OF JUPITER: Jupiter Knights have the presence of a titan, trading subtlety for a capacity to overwhelm. While their booming voices and rumbling footsteps make it easy to tell when one is nearby, the miniature thunderclaps that follow every hit they land can be distracting and disorienting when they get up close and personal.

Should he use his magic now? He knew that they most likely had another monster that they needed to attack after this. No, he would save it, but he was slightly annoyed that he couldn't use his Eternal attack multiple times in this situation, he would have found it helpful at least.
