The long summer is over, and as the soil begins to cool Virgo reaches her arms up and from the sod to bring her blessing to the eager seeds of wheat. "It is my desire to paint the fields in gold and green, my darlings. Come to me and see my vision once again brought to light."
Want to hear about how this challenge went after tearing down all the blue blue blue from my first two builds? Well, first, I had Luz put on a new gown. I am no stranger to the fleur series, and knew the color and shape were exactly what I needed to give her energy (doesn't she SERVE in that emerald color?!) Next came the plumage, meant to seem like reaching leaves coming straight from her body. Then came the arms going up.
At this point, I was like yes, I want her to be producing blooms. That's what she is doing right now.
The dance of passion flowers were both beautiful to frame Luz and give the illusion I was going for ("popping up out of the ground to cause fruits and flowers to bloom".) (References early Virgos that brought in the seasons that just felt much more authentic to me!) Several backgrounds came and went too, but I felt like they all took away from the design, not added to it so ultimately they were canned. The flowers really held it all on their own I think. The headpiece I went back and forth on, as I liked it to show that she "emerged" in a sense, that things would be dripping from her hair but in a beautiful and symbolic way... but it didn't quite match perfectly. Kept it anyway. Oh! And other details, like her glow, the seedlings, the magical leaves, all came together at the end to complete the scene. Honestly, once I switched color palettes she came together as quickly as butter and toast.
Do you see Virgo when you look at Luz? I can't wait to hear all about it.
All the best, Faith
P.S. what actually happened with the headpiece was that my mom really liked it, so it stayed C: sometimes design is also about what the customer wants
P.S.S. I have rewritten this letter 3 times and reuploaded her picture once (no smiling Luz!!) Thanks for the heads up from Serena-Of-Limonium, and special thanks for the guidance from The Clot Thickens and clowniing!!

Designer: bloodangel95 Model: Amira Outfit Title: Balancing the sky Description: It has been some time since I looked at my sign, so it was fun to read up on it and reanalyze myself. One thing I did have in mind from the start is my entry had to be sapphire blue, my birthstone.
Libra is all about balance and harmony in all phases of life. I am fascinated with seeking out the right balance with everything I do, even when sometimes it is just not possible. There is a balanced scale on Amira back, but I gave Amira imbalanced hands because that is how I currently feel my life is, imbalanced. Libra's weakness is indecisiveness, which is what is weighing me down. I followed that by adding a gust of wind to represent the turmoil go on shifting the balance. And Libra is an air sign! Libra is known to be in the clouds dreaming or making big plans but not always following through if they are left on their own. This is especially true for me; I something need someone to keep me on a straight path or else I will deviate constantly from the path I should be heading to. As air/wind we shift depending on who we are with at the time, but as fair-minded individuals we can shift away from people that aren't right for us.
Libras are people pleasing people because they want to have balance so they avoid confrontation but that sometimes works against them as not every can be happy in the end. Which is why I like that Libra is represented by a scale, which is based on the Greek goddess Themis, Scales of Justice. Themis is the goddess of natural and divine law and justice. She is usually depicted with her scale on one hand, a sword in another, and sometimes a blindfold. The blindfold is often interpreted in two ways that the goddess was blind to the injustice going on before her and did nothing thinking everything was already balanced, or that she covers her eyes to be impartiality regarding wealth, power, and status. She holds a sword for transparency, she may be seeking peace, but she isn't afraid to cut through lies and enforce justice swiftly.
Reading about the goddess had a greater influence in my entry, because that is what I wish to be. Confident in my decision, swift enough to let go of all the negative thoughts and emotions and move on with little to no regrets. I gave Amira chest armor and the blindfold to represent the strength a Libra needs to have to find harmony in life. I debated a lot about whether to have the blindfold or not because I added tears in her eyes. I felt the entry over gave a strong goddess libra vibe, but wanted to show that even strong people are fragile, but with the blindfold her tears are hidden. Which is more like me in that I try to hide emotions and remain levelheaded.
Challenge 1: What's Your Sign? Designer: Sy as in Why Model: Jaylyn Status: Complete
Scorpio: From the Ashes Rises the Phoenix Ah, Scorpio... I'm not only a Scorpio, but my chart is so Scorpio-heavy that it's my birth chart signature! I was quite excited to take this on. However, I was a little sad to see the limits of Scorpio and Scorpion inspired options, so I had to think deeper. I thought about the Stages of Scorpio that I'd read within an Astrology book that my mother owned: Scorpion, Eagle and Phoenix, the stages of spiritual transformation exclusive to the Scorpio sign.
Scorpio is ruled by Pluto, and as the 8th sign of the Zodiac is ruled by the 8th House, which is symbolic of sex, death and rebirth, and with that and the Stages of Scorpio in mind, I chose the concept of transformation and rebirth for Jaylyn's look this challenge.
The Scorpion symbolises Scorpio's baser emotions, the darkness that inspires our negative impulses that characterise what makes Scorpio a controversial sign to some. Jealousy, bitterness and a vengeful streak demonstrated by the poisonous sting of the Scorpion. The Phoenix, by comparison, is the form of Scorpio's transformation into a spiritually enlightened being. The Phoenix is Scorpio breaking free from those dark impulses, instead using our natural talent at insight to observe others without being judgemental, and use what we observe to be compassionate and lift others up.
I had Jaylyn have a scorpion tail to symbolise where she started, and the phoenix to symbolise her growth and transformation. From the darkness rises the light, so her look transitions from black and purple to brilliant orange. The background is dark blue-green to contrast, keeping it simple to not distract from Jaylyn's striking look, but also representative of Scorpio's element: water. In addition, her gleaming golden jewellery is a symbol of wealth, one of the domains of Pluto, Scorpio's ruler.
Her arms hide her expression, adding intentional ambiguity to her gaze. Is she challenging the viewer, or simply curious? It's entirely your interpretation. Scorpios are infamously secretive and keep our cards to our chest, only allowing those we trust to understand our inner worlds. (This doesn't make us a popular sign for those that misinterpret our hidden feelings for malicious intent, heh.)
In this look, Jaylyn has transformed from the raw, base darkness of the Scorpion, to the enlightened state of the Phoenix, reborn and rejuvenated.

Kiara as Sagittarius - The Misunderstood Healer
The one who gives too much
Ahh, my love for my sign may seem a bit....much. But when I say it fits me like the glass slipper that fit Cinderella, I mean it.
Sagittarius, most commonly associated as the Archer, is the 9th sign in the Zodiac, but it is much more than just "The Archer". It is also the sign of Creativity and Healing. So much so, that they will give and give until they cant give anymore. They are benefactors who are rarely ever fully accepted by people, and who have such a desire to travel far and wide to find their true homes. Though a Saggitarian may smile, pain often hides behind their eyes, feeling both blessed and cursed in knowing that they will give everything they have for the benefit of those around them. Not only that, but no matter how much we may do, there is always a feeling of something missing from us and our lives.
With that in mind, I wanted to show the more melancholy side of a Sagittarian. The side that does give, arms outstretched and open, offering up everything they have to ensure someone elses happiness. The cracks in the skin, over the mind and heart, are a sign of that constant, hollow feeling that lingers within. The sad yet loving eyes, ones that not many people get to see.
Sagittarians have a strong dislike of being constrained. Feeling stuck where they are, or with what they are doing, unable to move free and wild. I added the chains as a sign of this, and of how I feel personally most days. Such a strong desire to travel, to try everything new and exciting this life has to offer! But when something comes up, no matter what it is, I am quick to shelve my desires to aid them. I never regret it, and I never will, but the shackles weigh heavy on my spirit, and they are tough ones to break.
I will admit, though I know my sign well, I did struggle so much with the way I wanted this design to go. I didn't want to go with the archer or the centaur that the sign is most commonly associated with, as well as avoiding any shades of red and gold. It might be a fire sign, but that doesnt mean it has to burn, ya know? I wanted to show the Healer side the most, and struggled a lot with how I wanted the arms to be. I tried to find a staff I liked, and while there were many, a staff seemed too "on the nose" to symbolize a healing type of personality. I opted for the open arms, the glowing marks and petals, and the subtle signs of something magical going on while also capturing both the desire to travel (the background being a beautiful, unexplored forest) as well as how our personality can be the literal chains that prevent us from doing anything.
Personality Traits Strengths: Generous, idealistic, great sense of humor
Weaknesses: Promises more than can deliver, very impatient, will say anything no matter how undiplomatic
Sagittarius likes: Freedom, travel, philosophy, being outdoors
Sagittarius dislikes: Clingy people, being constrained, off-the-wall theories, details
My son! Heed my words and dont wander into the desert at day. What looks like reality is just a mirage, The sands roll between our world and that of dreams, the desert will lure you in and hold you captive till you become one of its secrets, never to be revealed to anyone ever again
My son! I ask you, not to wander into the desert even more during the night. When the darkness rolls over the sands, the two worlds overlap and the mirages become reality. You do not want to meet the mysterious creatures of the other world! Specially the Scorpio lady who governs it, if you are in her gaze, you are part of her domain which she possessively guards. She is as temperamental as the desert, you do not want to be interesting to her, nor do you want to bore her. Adore her, fear her, rejoice and despair! When the wind howls, you can still hear the cries and joy of those trapped on the other side of the dunes. So always remember to respect the desert and it might now swallow you up
This was a tough avatar to make and I started on it because I thought no one else would pick Scorpio and it turned out to be a popular option (I should have went with eastern zodiac XD ). I took many inspirations for it, from one of my OCs, scorpion men, Tia Dalma, etc. Really liked mixing the qualities of desert and scorpio sign together. Had to search up myths and some desert related cultures a lot for the look. I wanted to use some different seating arrangements and other background stuff, but most good stuff didnt lair well with the desert part and the tail, which is the whole point of the avi. I also liked the beads, they somewhat parallel the segments on scorpion's tail, but black ones looked a bit bland and blended too much, so I used gold to match the jewelry Added some smoke and light to add to the mystical element. Overall the look I went for is that you piqued interest of someone otherworldly and she is reaching out to snatch you up

Description: Designers! Do you believe in astrology? That where the stars were at in the sky on the night you were born can determine your personality? Your soulmate? What season you thrive in? The judges want you to wrangle the stars and make us believers. Let us get to know you better by designing a look inspired by your zodiac sign.
Challenge #1: What's Your Sign?
Designer | Princess Warfare Status | Complete Title | The Anti-HeroGemini
First and foremost, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all of the judges and contestants for your patience. I had my design nearly finished when we got hit by some bad storms, and I lost internet... ANYWAY -- I truly appreciate you all showing me immense grace during this time, and without further ado, here is my entry!
---
Geminis are the "other" supervillain of the signs, right next to Scorpios! All jokes aside, being misunderstood is quite literally the bane of any Mercury-tied placement. We absolutely HAVE to communicate, and we have to make sure our voice is heard and understood. But that's okay, because being a Gemini means that we can laugh it off with a witty comeback and move on with our lives. Such is the power of air.
I wanted to show the iconic Gemini curiosity and thirst for knowledge/all things eclectic, hence the bookshelf and statue bust. The pants? I was leaning into the "Court Jester of the Zodiac" archetype, of course. We're whimsical, okay? Brandie's wings are also a nod to being an air sign, with the pop of red from the sash to tie in to the rest of my design. The half masks really add to the design as a whole, in my opinion.
Just ONE design could never capture the multifaceted nature of a Gemini, but I had so much fun with this, and I hope you enjoy it!

"Bear witness to the power of the Cancerian. A soft heart beats within the hard exterior of this creature. Emotional to the very core with the ebbs and flows of the sea. Beware that she doesn't cast you under her waves if she so chooses to." _______________________________________________________________________________
Dearest Judges and Viewers:
A little background on my star chart, I am of a Cancer sun and Scorpio moon. Two of the most emotionally charged signs, both loyal and always desiring deep connections with those they care about and love. Cancer is a very nurturing sign and always want the best for those they care for. The Scorpio moon side of me intensifies my emotions and my passion.
I wanted to showcase here the ever-changing waters of cancer, and the ranges of emotion shown through the different currents. Such as the waves crashing against the rock with power and might. The soft mist floating through the air around her, refreshing and calm. The water inflows behind her back, showing that even if not seen in totality, her tranquility, and her peace are always present no matter the course of her emotions. The bright moon is surrounded by the maroon sky, to show how the Scorpio moon influences the Cancer traits. Overall, I wanted to show that there is beauty in such intense emotions. Cheska was perfect for bringing this together as her complexion was perfect for the colors and tones. Her large bright eyes also played well with the emotional touch I felt this needed. I wanted to showcase her with an ethereal touch. It was at first difficult to depict a crab, given that there are not many items directly linked to this sign. However, I feel we managed well despite that.
This piece definitely holds pieces of myself. Throughout my life, I have often been considered to be "too much", "too intense" and even "too passionate". Today, we embrace that. Passion is beautiful. It gives life to all things and all things beautiful could not exist without some form of passion.
I do hope you enjoy Cheska and the ethereal Cancerian-inspired look!emotion_bigheart

Challenge #1: What's Your Sign? Designer: the purple mew Model: Eunwoo Status: Complete
Eunwoo in Cancer, Sail to the Moon
Mew's Thoughts:
Judges and Fellow Designers,
Considering it is my birth month, I felt really connected to this theme, so I dove right in! That doesn't mean this didn't take me a while to get just how I wanted it though.
My first choice, the thing I knew from the start, was the emphasis I wanted on the moon. The moon is Cancer's celestial body after all. That lead me down the path of creating the story I wanted with this outfit, the goal would be the moon, but how to get there?
This thought process lead me to my next choice, I'd turn Eunwoo into a sailor to tie the outfit to Cancer's element being water! What better way to get through a sea of stars than to sail through them? She stands on her toes and hold her hand above her eyes, searching for the best path to take as she travels, attentive as Cancer's usually are.
This is where I began to hit rough waters, however. I was stubborn in my original choice once I settled on the sailor design, I had to use red. Ruby is July's birthstone, so it only made sense! And I tried... and tried... and tried... and it just wasn't looking how I wanted. I had to reframe my thoughts, and that when I came across konpeito.
Lightning struck, some of Cancer's main traits are comfort and a maternal instinct. they're known to be soft and nurturing, what better way to do that then a soft pastel color pallette? And from there everything fell into place. It came naturally, perhaps because until rescently I was still under the influence of my guiding stars?
Yours, Mew
“What can we gain by sailing to the moon if we are not able to cross the abyss that separates us from ourselves?" -Thomas Merton
I was excited for this first challenge based on the name. I enjoy astrology and the idea of portraying a sign seemed like an excellent first challenge. That was until I read it was MY sign I would be working with. I'm not sure why that wasn't obvious but it surprised me. I have very distinct feelings about my own sign and I honestly wasn't sure how I was going to reflect those feelings in Raven.
I knew I want to portray both my sun sign and my moon sign because to me they are equally important. You see I'm a Cancer sun and a Pisces moon. My mother is a Cancer and my father is a Pisces so I feel like I got one from each. I also feel like my sun and moon signs work in tandem when it comes to my actual personality. Cancer is know for being the positive traits tender, thoughtful, and sensitive, but also the negative traits indecisive, lazy, and moody these are certainly reflected in me. The positive traits for Pisces that I have are intuitive, imaginative, artistic and warm. While the negative traits are anxiety, unhealthy imagination, and escapism.
Raven's expression and focus on the water running through her hands represents many of these traits. Her expression is thoughtful but moody and the water running through her hands reflect her indecisiveness. her focus on the water indicates that her mind is deep and far away. The water is also representative of both signs which are the Cardinal water sign of Cancer and Mutable water sign Pisces. Cardinal Signs always represent the beginning of a season and Mutable sign represent the end of a season. Cancer begins summer and Pisces ends winter. the water Raven stands on has vapor coming off of it as if it is heating up either after being very cold or simply entering a period of more intense heat this reflects both signs.
None of these things were the big issue I faced with this challenge. My issue was choosing a color story. You see to me each sign of the zodiac has a certain color/colors to me and I struggle to not feel very strict on these associations. Cancer is unarguably Silver, Indigo and Blue Violet. This is terrible in this case because I needed to balance Ravens hair. I hate having a single color that stands out and doesn't appear anywhere else in the design. So what do I do? I decided to focus on the crab. The constellation itself would be the inspiration. While we often think of crabs as red orange my favorite crab is the blue crab! They have a brighter and tealer blue coloration with only accents of red. Then I added gold as the stars and the moon.
I think over coming the issues in this challenge ultimately produced a stunning outcome that I take pride in.
This challenge definitely brought out the stubbornness in me! Taurus felt very limiting. Many cattle items on Gaia are rather masculine or very milky. Nor did I want to portray any kind of stubborn anger or an almost corny "down to earth" pun angle. I ultimately wanted her to be identifiable as a Taurus, and celebrating the sign, while still being clearly human.
Moo Year, New Me looked dazzling on her hair, but something still appeared to be missing. Eventually it was settled on a horn headband that flowed well with Tessa's hairstyle and still incorporated with the starting point.
Still hunting for a lead, I took inspiration from learning more about my sign. Several sources state the Mesopotamians called Taurus "The Great Bull of Heaven." Taurus are slow to change their ways, and what else is slower to change than the night sky itself? While just leaning into stars also felt a little boxed in, the dress threw me into total excitement. It created a lovely silhouette with Tessa's dynamic hair. Then I discovered things layer under the sheer. Then there was no stopping - we were off! The shawl and sturdy boots further reinforce Tessa's ever-present dynamism. She does not walk meekly down the catwalk, she struts, and it is my job to make the final product flow with her, never against her.
A small amount of blush and some starry eyeshadow brings more detail to her face to better flow with her clothing. I waffled with various nose rings but found them to distract from the piece. The background evolved to match her twinkling ensemble. The moon highlights her joy as the focal point.
Shaped by her stars, she is a woman who knows what she wants and is strong enough to pursue those dreams. A steadfast hand ready for anyone who reaches out. A proud Taurus.
Items:
Skintone E Body Dye, Natural Obsession, Sweet Talker, Moo Year, New Me, jon’s on his way to you (Shawl), Frequently Mooligan (Horns), Malicieux Petite Lumiere (Windswept Hair), Torn Chill (dark flushed face), Shooting Stars Taste Sweet (Starry Headband), Elegant Fleur de Reve(chestplate), One Lost Stars (Background), New Sparkle Eyeshadow, Snip Snip Scissors, Moon of Kaiyōhime, Starry Knight (greaves), Independent Matrimony of Blood (Dress), Auspicious Heart of the Cards (Sparkles), Auspicious Valkyrie Hime (Arms V1), Quenched by Godly War (Belt)
For this first challenge, I decided to make a modern outfit based on the qualities of Scorpios. It was also based on typical moodboards you get when you google "scorpio moodboard".
Scorpio is known as the 'edgy' sign, the colours assigned for Scorpio are usually reds and blacks, it is also known that some of Scorpio's traits are passion, dedication and manipulation. If you look into Astrological Body Rulerships you will find out that Scorpio is the ruler of genitals. Based on these traits and information, I tried to make Eryn's look by combining all these elements.
Eryn's wearing a sultry bra-like top with red and black accents, high-waisted black shorts over which she has a semi-transparent skirt, sexy stockings with pentagrams, and crimson slouch socks with a grid pattern. As for her accessories, she has two belts, one black and the other red (I felt like belts are a quintessential edgy accessory!), and a bunch of cute hairpins in red, black and white. I especially like the two hairpins on her head that look a bit like a pair of horns! Additionally, I added a scorpion tail, after all, a Scorpio outfit would be incomplete without it~
One of the most notable Scorpio traits people associate with this sign is its love for secrets. Eryn's pose is meant to evoke that mysterious aura, suggesting she has shared some secrets with you and is cautioning you not to spread them. As for the background; I chose it to represent Scorpio's more destructive nature.

Challenge 1: What's your sign? Designer: excites // Status: Complete Model: Serena // Title: Water Your Expectations? Description: Pisces; compassionate, empathetic, sympathetic, sensitive, and vulnerable. Super in tune with their own and other's feelings. Pisces are usually symbolized by two fish swimming in opposite directions, which can be interpreted a lot of different ways, for example fantasy vs reality. I knew going into this challenge I wasn't going to dress my model as a mermaid, but finding balance between realistic makeup expectations and wild fantasy makeup was difficult for me. Speaking of expectations, I chose my title because I feel like Pisces are often people pleasers (unfortunately I know I suffer from this).
Do I believe in astrology? Mostly yes. I know everyone is different and similar in a lot of ways, but there's too many coincidences with astrology signs and people's personalities to ignore astrology entirely. I know Pisces' are very emotional, flirts, moody, and cry babies; and my Pisces friends and I are not an exception to these stereotypes. To play off the "cry baby" term I put Serena in a "baby" doll-esque dress. As for colors, these pastel dreamy colors really stood out to me and I did want to tie in an aqua color. I also had Serena cry for this piece, because a crying Pisces is a must.
Designer's Note: Hopefully an underwater photoshoot is okay. I also put the makeup artists to work on this look haha. This is emotion/ feelings heavy because I'm also a Pisces in moon and rising.

Challenge #1 What's Your Sign? Feedback
WINNER: excites — Serena • This was a beautiful look, and you absolutely nailed the goal of underwater shoot. Serena is floating in water, effervescent and elegant. Color is so well balanced and compliments her well. This is an amazing first look for the competition and we can't wait to see what else you bring to the table. • When you do your description, make sure you tell us about the 'how' of things as much as you tell us about the 'why'. There were so many details in this look but they got lost in the mix. Think of the old adage before leaving the house take one thing off, that might benefit your future looks.
Detrimentum — Eryn • This was a stellar look, and sets the bar high for yourself this cycle. You got high points for creativity and description. We're impressed and can't wait to see what else you have up your sleeve! • The one thing the judges agree on is the background could have been a different color, Eryn just blends into the red background a little too much. Details like the tail end up just a little bit lost.
Princess Warfare — Brandie • This was amazing! You blew the judges away. And this is a great example of using different poses from the same item to create this mask. The jester aspect was a very pleasant unique take. This look says Gemini but feels fresh and creative. Great color choice and it is very well balanced to create the duality of Gemini. • We know you were having technical issues this week, but be mindful of which poses you submit in future weeks. Not every angle benefits the look. Maybe adding a small touch of red to the head/hair would have balanced things a little more.
Serafiella — Tessa • This is a wonderfully strong first entry! Tessa is a beautiful Taurus among the stars, and we all got it at first glance. You also got some particularly strong marks on your description and style categories. Also good choice of make up! • The horns get a little too lost against the moon, perhaps if they were a different or darker color they wouldn't have blended as much. And while we appreciate the white boots/foot mod balance out the white at the top, they are just too harsh and distract from some of the other great features in the look.
Kr-E — Cheska • This make up choice is sublime! Just the right way to add make up. The entire color scheme you chose in general was so flattering on Cheska. This is Cancer without it being a cliche. Also nailed the composition and framing! • There might be one too many waves? It borders on distracting and just being too busy in the look. This was a good description, but we still need more details on the how of the look, and just a touch more on the process to get from point a to b.
BloodAngel95 — Amira • The blindfold was a bold choice since it covers up so much of Amira's face, but it was a smart detail to immediately say Libra. She is balanced in the sky prepared to cast judgement. In the best way. Your experience shows in this entry, good job. • While the judges liked this look, we all would have liked to see the scales larger or less hidden. Something to make them stand out, because with all the blue, there were judges that got the vibe of Aries from this before they got Libra. Over all the blue and 'wind' elements just felt like water and waves. The pale gold used also blended in with Amira a little bit much at times, might have been nice if you'd used a bolder gold.
Serena-of-Limonium — Raven • Drawing inspiration from both your sun and moon was a good idea, and something that stood out from most entries. One judge also gave you a perfect score for your description, good job! • The make up on the eyes was...a bad choice. The eyes are completely lost and this really bordered on the kind of change that could put you at risk for disqualification as it seems to change base features so much. There was also a similarity between this look and your audition look. We want to see Raven in other colors.
Sy as in Why — Jaylyn • Kudos on coming out the gate with such a good description! Your description saved the look for several of the judges, adding a much needed explanation to the look. • There was creativity in opting to present the rebirth and go for a phoenix imagery, but the judges felt like it strayed a little too far from anything Scorpio for this challenge. We also want you to push yourself in future challenges to use more items rather than just the different poses or recolors of the same few items. Everyone knows they go together because they were designed that way, we want to see designers thinking outside the box and showing us a new way of combining things.
FaithEmblem — Luz • This was a good idea, and the green tail feathers to act as ferns and leaves was an inspired detail! The judges also really like the pose you put Luz in, it is dynamic and feels like she is growing from the Earth which really fits the theme you were going for. • The idea was there, but we felt like you just kind of struggled with the execution. The make up was a big miss for all of us, the colors don't suit Luz and make her look sickly. As great as Luz looks in green and that is the vision, we do think blue might have been more suitable. If nothing else it would have provided more contrast between Luz and the background giving more appreciation for the finer details.
Haji Demon — Raine • This look had the judges vibing to Arabian Nights, and we liked the general color scheme on Raine. This was also a definite Scorpio entry and we liked that it read as Scorpio right away and didn't have us questioning things too much. • Why? We needed so much more from the description. What made you choose the Arabian influence for the look? What details did you find when researching that you incorporated into the look?
the purple mew — Eunwoo • This was cute and simple! The idea of Eunwoo being a sailor of stars is a wonderful thought. The description serves it's purpose in telling us what the goal was, and it was the stand out feature of this entry. • This was cute and simple! The judges didn't feel like this really conveyed zodiac or sailor. They got school girl. There is nothing wrong with a simple look but it has to have the goods to back it up. The details to make it shine. And this just fell short. It is a fine look! But for this challenge especially there is just so much more you could have done, even within your chosen theme.
Sleepy Luna Moth — Kiara • You were creative with the direction you took for this look, and we appreciate how much you educated us on your sign with your description. The background also really worked well for your look and helped support your design. • The judges struggled with this look. While we understand a lot of what you were trying to do, the actual execution just fell flat for all of us. It seems like Kiara is only wearing one item, and since this is a fashion competition, there needs to be more than just one item dress. All the added details and whisps, while they balance out and add a nice element to things, they don't distract from how plain and simple the look really is. The black mark on the face is just distracting, and the tears also distract.

Challenge #2: A Girl Who Flirts Designer: the purple mew Model: Eunwoo Status: Complete
Eunwoo in Bows, Bows, Bows
Mew's Thoughts:
Judges and Fellow Designers,
Another theme I could really dive into! I was so excited to see the coquette them as I love the style and its one of the few staples in my own wardrobe. After thinking on it a bit, I wanted to do coquette but elevated. I knew immediately I wanted a soft pink to be my main color, I think these soft colors work really well with Eunwoo and accentuate her own softness.
I was inspired to base the main part of the outfit off a look I use in my own wardrobe, a long sheer underdress with a corset on top. After looking at everything, my choices for corset lead me to what part of the coquette aesthetic I would really focus on, bows!
This lead me down a kind of wild hunt through the trenches of the database to find bows that fit the theme and were in my chosen colors that I liked. headbows? check! (both big and small!) neckbow? check! (I needed the bow choker, its fits the style so well!) backbow? absolute check! (really went over the top with it to elevate the emphasis on the bows and take the look to the next level)
During my deep dive, I ran into a background frame that absolutely screamed out to me, it framed the outfit so perfectly, and even included pearls! I had to use it!
And with each bow precariously placed, we put some light makeup on, giving Eunwoo a soft smile while still showing off her natural lips and having her eyes narrow slightly. With her arms posed just so on her hip and head, we were ready for some coy flirting and the runway!
Yours, Mew
