Her question startled him, and he too placed his glass down with a shrug, "I find myself bored, that's all." He reassured, "But I don't think I'll stick around permanently. You know me, I'm a flightly bird."
He leaned forward, moving to take her hands in his own, "We've grown apart all these years, Kaiva. My visit isn't so much about me. What about you, do you have any secrets you're dying to share?"

"Bored..." she repeated back, still suspicious. "If you say so." She knew he wouldn't stay longer than he felt necessary, which was fine. She too wouldn't be sticking around their family home for much longer once all of her things had been officially moved to her own house.
"Not particularly," she unclasped her hands and drummed her finger. "Though I do have to finish packing." Kaiva smirked at her brother. "Why don't you help me finish up and then maybe I can show you my new place?"
Tyiva and Karo had already seen her little dwelling, but none of her siblings since they weren't home as much.

His smile was languid and relaxed again. Svadra was always the odd sort, and maybe being away longer than normal meant he had a sense of disconnection with his sister. That was fine, they'd work it out before he got too far. Surely she'd drag him around to all the places she had discovered in his absence.
"Naturally. I need to see if I've got anything valuable left in my room anyway."
Moving to stand, he brushed off his long tunic and provided a hand to help her stand as well, "You can tell me about any romances you might have fallen into while we pack away your life."

Kaiva took the extended hand and then looped her arm around her brother's once more. She started laughing when he mentioned his valuables, but when he asked about her romances, she started bellowing in laughter almost doubling over and holding onto him for dear life as she laughed. When she finally calmed down enough to say anything, she was out of breath.
"Romances? Please, I don't have time for that kind of thing." Now that had been quite the joke. "Maybe once I'm settled in my own place, but who knows." She shrugged. It wasn't really in her plans currently. For now she was focused on herself and her new place and her brother now that he was here.

Surely there was more to it, and Svadra was determined to dig in. For now, he was content to be back home with his family, focused on connecting and enjoying the memories of the past and stories of the future.
